Technically, anything could happen at any time.
Aliens could invade. The Iranians could deploy the mothership.
It’s all possible, so saying something is possible is not really an argument for or against any particular action.
Furthermore: why are heterosexuals never in charge of any of these military or intelligence groups? Are we to believe you must be a disease-riddled pederast to understand how violence works?

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte warned on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to “wipe Ukraine off the map” and could come after other parts of Europe next, as he urged Europeans to press their governments to ramp up defense spending.
“It is time to shift to a wartime mindset,” Rutte told security experts and analysts at the Carnegie Europe think-tank in Brussels. He said people should gird themselves for the prospect that Russia might try to use “swarms of drones” in Europe as it has to deadly effect in Ukraine.
Putin “is trying to crush our freedom and way of life,” Rutte said. The former Dutch prime minister listed Russia’s attacks on Georgia in 2008, the annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula in 2014, and the all-out invasion launched almost three years ago.
Is Putin really trying to crush the freedom and way of life of the Dutch?
Does that statement make sense to anyone who is not gay or a woman?
Regardless, it’s interesting to analyze what the implications are: the propaganda against Putin is about him being a heterosexual and promoting a Christian society. So what they’re saying is that gay sex and atheism are the defining aspects of “our freedom and way of life.”
Is that conception of the nature of man working for most people?
It’s probably about time to go back through “Changing Images of Man*” to figure out how some Westerners can believe life would be worse if they were conquered by Russia.

It’s interesting to observe how Putin is somehow both totally incompetent, throwing washing machines at invincible Ukrainian supermen, but also he’s basically Dr. Doom, a mad genius capable of completely conquering all of Europe if Europeans don’t sacrifice everything to stop him.
It seems like people should notice that individuals who work in “defense” constantly want to spend more and more money on “defense.”
But I don’t know how people would notice that, given that they never noticed the pharma companies promoting fake diseases.

Changing Images of Man is a paper published by the Stanford Research Institute, which is effectively a CIA think tank, about how to control the masses of people by shaping “the image of man in the universe.”
This is the description:
Published originally in 1974, and revised in 1982, The Changing Images of Man was the culmination of an eight month study administered by the Urban and Social Systems Division of the Stanford Research Institute.
Various intellectuals from the fields of social sciences, humanities, engineering and physics collaborated in an attempt to illuminate ways our present society, its citizens, and institutions have been shaped by the underlying myths and images of the past and present.
Within the three hundred page report, the researchers at SRI identified seven different functions of society in which the power of images could be used to acquiesce the population into a state of subservience.
The research staff at SRI left no stone unturned in their search for ways to inculcate the masses, even considering the viability of: telekinesis, bio feedback, telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, hypnosis, subliminal messaging, hallucinogenics and psychotropic drugs. Each strategy was identified and discussed at length over the 8 month study then summarized within Chapter 4, Influence of Science on the “Image of Man”.
The study called upon behavioral scientist B.F. Skinner to offer his expertise on the examination of ‘man as a mechanism’ and to elaborate on his operant conditioning techniques. Also discussed was the viability of “genetic modification”; “brain surgery to prevent aggressive behavior”; “electrical brain implants”; and “sophisticated electronic surveillance mechanisms to detect ‘aberrant’ behavior patterns”
I used to recommend it a lot, but it’s been years since I’ve thought about it. I just thought of it right now.
I should probably go back and read through it with fresh eyes and see what I can gather.
Aside from Skinner, the biggest influence on the work was definitely Bertrand Russell, who wrote some very interesting things himself, most relevant here is “The Impact of Science on Society,” where he basically invented modern progressivism.

NATO is already tiring the world with its nonsense and they must decide: they behave like men and attack Russia as Napoleon and Hitler did; or they keep their mouths shut as good sissies do.

40 000 soldiers would be enough to steamroll any smaller to mid European country nowadays when done as a Blitz. Even the ones with conscription would take weeks, even months, to muster an army this size when attacked unprepared whithout any Mobilisation beforehand. It’s not 1980 anymore…
Ukraine, on the other hand, was ready, and the Russians should have known that.
Why did he send paratroopers into Kiev
Gostomel Airport whithout bombing the enemy civilian and military infrastructure first?
Why did he send only 40 000 men, some of them only OMON-gendarmerie? Did he really think that the Ruteni part of Ukraine would just roll over whithout a fight after being radicalised by the West for eight years?
Why did he even try to touch any part of Ukraine outside of Donbass and Mariupol when he had only sent 40 000 men to attack an already prepared country?
Why, again, didn’t they bomb key military and civilian government infrastructure with all available ressources of their air force when they were trying to wage a Blitzkrieg?
I, and many other, say this war was meant to kill as many Slavs as possible. And when they run out of Ukrainians, they will just throw other Europeans into the soup.
Putin won’t do jack shit against Zelensky, Macron-Trogneux, Scholz, VdL etc.

I’m old enough to remember when such logic was used in justifying the Vietnam War. If the US were to leave, then the Vietnamese would overrun all of Southeast Asia, they’d take the Philippines, they’d invade and occupy Australia, they’d sweep across the Pacific, taking Hawaii, and before you knew it, they’d be landing on the West Coast of the USA.
Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but this was widely believed at the time, much like the more recent claims that “We need to fight ’em over there [Iraq and Afghanistan] so we don’t have to fight ’em over here.”
News flash: Invading and occupying another country doesn’t prevent anyone from bypassing the occupation and going directly to your country. You increase the odds of this happening if it’s obvious your foreign policy is dictated by Israel and your borders are so open.
Also, it’s good to remember that European countries are a mess right now, and the best way to divert the attention of the populations of these countries is to focus attention on a foreign boogeyman and call for unity and no questioning of the motives of government officials — or those who stand to make tons of money in the war industry. Given the idiotic mindset of “yer either with us or again’ us,” that makes “terrorists” of those of us who object.
That’s something else I heard a lot when the Dubya administration was invading other countries: “Now is not the time to question our leaders…” If wartime isn’t the time to question them, they’ll make sure that wartime lasts indefinitely because they won’t ever be challenged. There were even proposals to skip the 2004 election because “we shouldn’t change horses in mid-stream.” Give politicians an excuse to remain in power and they’ll extend that excuse into forever.

The NordStream pipeline promised a great future for Europeans. With a steady input of affordable energy, Europe could make products which Russians were eager to buy.
The biggest European trading nations with Russia were Germany and France. Their trade was worth billions of Euros. It was a win-win for everybody. War was about as remote a possibility as a modern conflict between England and France, or Spain and Netherlands.
Mark Rutte is an embicile. The gaslighting about Russia desiring war with Europe is laughable. Russians wanted peace and trade, and that fact is easily established.
