She was once an addict.
She got sober.
She then dedicated her life to helping people try and break their addictions.
Her name is Melissa Hamilton.
She was a 50-year-old white woman, who had dedicated to helping others in need of hope.
She was married, a devoted wife.
On her last day on this earth, she was working late into the night (as she often did) as a counselor to help others battling addiction.
She would never return home to her husband.

New details in the case against the man accused of brutally killing a counselor inside the Nashville business where she worked show he sexually assaulted the woman before her death.
Brian Dewayne Conley, who is charged with criminal homicide in this week’s death of 50-year-old Melissa Hamilton, entered Crossroads Counseling at 521 S Gallatin Pike at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and while inside sexually assaulted Hamilton, according to an arrest affidavit.
Conley, 31, then stabbed her to death, police said.
Police found Hamilton dead and unclothed in a back office area of the business at 6 a.m Wednesday.
Video cameras in the area captured Conley entering and leaving the business, according to court documents. Crossroads Counseling provides court-appointed domestic violence and alcohol and drug therapy to people in Davidson County.
Conley was not a client at the business, police said.
According to the affidavit, Conley also had a defensive wound to his right pinky finger consistent with the victim’s stab wounds.
Conley was booked into the Metro jail on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. He is being held without bond, jail records show.
Conley is due in court for a hearing on the charge Monday morning.
A celebration of life service for Hamilton is set for 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Christ Life Community at the Boys and Girls Club of Smyrna at 198 Culbertson Road.

Spent Thanksgiving weekend arguing about clear biological and intellectual differences between us and them.
My relatives, all of whom live in suburbs that couldn’t get whiter if you rolled them in flour, went all IKAGO, invariably naming a black person that worked for them ( one picked her cleaning woman). I pointed out that these people were being paid to wear the mask of civility around them.
But to no avail. They honestly believe that their subsidized pets are their friends.
She worked in a dangerous profession, in 28% black Nashville. It is no answer to have an entry system in which a counseling student shows I.D. and only then is buzzed-in. That is because she could be attacked by an enrolled student who had the right to enter. The only answer: Such counselors must have a security guard — or two — with them, armed with at least a taser gun. This is cheaper and so more doable than a guard who is armed with a firearm. I am not blaming the victim; I am saying this is what it has come to. Massive private security — schools, hospitals, businesses, churches, movie theaters, restaurants. Rural Iowa, etc. excepted.

A friend of mine had a wholesale import/export business. His customers would place and pay for orders on-line. Regular local customers would drop by to pick up and pay for their products in person after placing their orders over the phone. As is, he always kept the front door locked and would only let those customers in that he recognized or, if a new customer, those who identified themselves. It wasn’t uncommon for random negroes to come to the door who had no business being there since walk-ins weren’t allowed since it wasn’t a retail business. He’d often infuriate them by simply ignoring them when they knocked on the door even though they could see him sitting in plain sight at his desk. One of the standard excuses they’d use (yelling at him through the door after finding it locked) was that they needed to use the “baffroom.” However, there were numerous fast food places nearby as well as other businesses open to the public. His business was off by itself on its own lot and not someplace someone would simply walk to. So, as I said, he’d just ignore them for the rather obvious reasons.
I’ve often wondered how many robberies/assaults he prevented by doing so.
Another fellow I knew had a business in an area that, over time, transitioned into a negro infested one. He closed his business down and moved it to a white area after his wife was attacked in the parking lot and had her arm broken during an attempted rape by a negro when she came to pick him up at closing time.
The whole point is that the more negroes there are around, the less safety there will be. Working with them (as the poor woman in this story did) is simply playing a game of Negro Roulette and simply isn’t worth it. Even having a security guard on duty wouldn’t prevent severe injuries in a sudden attack. I say that because I once worked with mental patients and we had a female staff member suddenly attacked by a patient and, with one savage blow to the head, she wound up with permanent partial paralysis to one side of her face and neck. Many negroes are just as volatile and unpredictable as mental patients and are simply not to be trusted as they too can explode into violence for little to no reason or for a stupid reason- such as shooting at fast food workers over a missing chicken nugget.

But I will note that I and several others have posted that a safe escape place, in addition to having excellent demographics, must be located 10 or 15 miles from an interstate. Brooklyn, Iowa is located only a few miles from interstate 80. The killer in this case apparently did NOT commute on interstate 80 to make the killing, because he was actually working on a farm in Brooklyn, Iowa. Maybe he was commuting. Or, if living there, I would need to argue that a bad guy would not have been working on that farm in the first place if he did not have easy access to the hood. I don’t know whether anyone has the answer to that question. However I believe in the general point that an escape place must be located 10 or 15 miles from any interstate. One commenter added that it is a plus if its streets should be meandering and confusing, with poor street signs.
She dedicated her life to help others, and look what it got her. Obama once said that whites will see a black man walking toward their car and they immediately lock the doors, and implied it’s racist and unnecessary. BULLSHIT. Blacks comprise approx. 14% of the US population, but they commit over 50% of the homicides. Subsequently, black males comprise approx. 7% of the US population but commit about half of the murders.

Follow the money. Who benefits from the current situation. Law enforcement, lawyers, both prosecution and defense. Bailiffs, court reporters, prison attendants, guards, judges. Universities professors teaching law, etc.
A great many people benefit from crime. The broken window requires the window repairman. More crime justifies greater budgets buying crime fighting. More salaries and bigger crime fighting operations lead to less unemployment.

I believe Tenn. still has a death penalty. Will they do the correct and just thing? They courts did with at least one of the Knoxville murderers, but didn’t with some of the others. We’ll have to see how this case goes. Many condolences to those grieving the loss of their friend and loved one.

Too expensive. Most small businesses and non-profits couldn’t afford a single guard. Movie theaters are beholden to Hollywood and operate on slim budgets.
The only solution is concealed carry. Decent people need to fight back with extreme prejudice to send a message. No more pocket 380s or girl guns. Mid to full size carry with extended magazines ready. Shotguns at home and ARs ready in vehicles.

For almost 150 years the United States has been conducting an interesting experiment. The subjects of the experiment: black people and working-class whites.
The hypothesis to be tested: Can a people taken from the jungles of Africa and forced into slavery be fully integrated as citizens in a majority white population?
The whites were descendants of Europeans who had created a majestic civilization. The former slaves had been tribal peoples with no written language and virtually no intellectual achievements. Acting on a policy that was not fair to either group, the government released newly freed black people into a white society that saw them as inferiors. America has struggled with racial discord ever since.
Decade after decade the problems persisted but the experimenters never gave up. They insisted that if they could find the right formula the experiment would work, and concocted program after program to get the result they wanted. They created the Freedman’s Bureau, passed civil rights laws, tried to build the Great Society, declared War on Poverty, ordered race preferences, built housing projects, and tried midnight basketball.
Their new laws intruded into people’s lives in ways that would have been otherwise unthinkable. They called in National Guard troops to enforce school integration. They outlawed freedom of association. Over the protests of parents, they put white children on buses and sent them to black schools and vice versa. They tried with money, special programs, relaxed standards, and endless handwringing to close the “achievement gap.” To keep white backlash in check they began punishing public and even private statements on race. They hung up Orwellian public banners that commanded whites to “Celebrate Diversity!” and “Say No to Racism.” Nothing was off limits if it might salvage the experiment.
Some thought that what W.E.B. Du Bois called the Talented Tenth would lead the way for black people. A group of elite, educated blacks would knock down doors of opportunity and show the world what blacks were capable of. There is a Talented Tenth. They are the black Americans who have become entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and scientists. But ten percent is not enough. For the experiment to work, the ten percent has to be followed by a critical mass of people who can hold middle-class jobs and promote social stability. That is what is missing.
Through the years, too many black people continue to show an inability to function and prosper in a culture unsuited to them. Detroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and the vast majority of black cities all over America are beset by degeneracy and violence. And blacks never take responsibility for their failures. Instead, they lash out in anger and resentment.
Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, and now Ferguson, rioting and looting are just one racial incident away. The white elite would tell us that this doesn’t mean the experiment has failed. We just have to try harder. We need more money, more time, more understanding, more programs, and more opportunities.
But nothing changes no matter how much money is spent, no matter how many laws are passed, no matter how many black geniuses are portrayed on TV, and no matter who is president. Some argue it’s a problem of “culture,” as if culture creates people’s behavior instead of the other way around. Others blame “white privilege.”
But since 1965, when the elites opened America’s doors to the Third World, immigrants from Asia and India-people who are not white, not rich, and not connected have quietly succeeded. While the children of these people are winning spelling bees and getting top scores on the SAT, black “youths” are committing half the country’s violent crime-crime, which includes viciously punching random white people on the street for the thrill of it that has nothing to do with poverty.
The experiment has failed. Not because of culture, or white privilege, or racism. The fundamental problem is that white people and black people are different. They differ intellectually and temperamentally. These differences result in permanent social incompatibility.
Our rulers don’t seem to understand just how tired their white subjects are with this experiment. They don’t understand that white people aren’t out to get black people; they are just exhausted with them. They are exhausted by the social pathologies, the violence, the endless complaints, and the blind racial solidarity, the bottomless pit of grievances, the excuses, and the reflexive animosity.
The elites explain everything with “racism,” and refuse to believe that white frustration could soon reach the boiling point.,.,

Few people think for themselves, especially in areas where the compulsion to “fit in” with the herd is forceful. Sad, but it’s part of the human condition.
Your anecdotes emphasize why living among “your own” is so preferable to trying to “prep” to handle uncommon but all too possible, existential threats.
One could live among white, self-supporting people (and eject/exile those who insist on behaving badly) or you can arm-up and up-armor so that if you spot a guy with a hoodie pulled up around his head on anything but a sleet-saturated day, you’ve already got him lined up on top of the front sight of a rifle or shotgun before you even see his hands.
Armed-up and up-armored is costly and exhausting. Far better to eject/exile.
Sooner or later, segregation will return. People will live among their own, and they’ll reap what their collective identity sows.
Why the “at least 4.5″ barrel?
1. At across-room distances, sight radius is meaningless. By the time a targeted victim realizes it’s gun time, chances are that it’s point-and-squeeze time.
2. The velocity difference between 3.1″ and 4.5″ (or 4.75″, or 5”) is insignificant in 9mm.
Get an M&P Shield, a Glock 43, a SIG 365, or any slim, small 9mm that works (for you.) Long gone are the 1970’s when defensive pistol selection was “slim.” We have a cornucopia of models from which to choose, and most Americans can mail-order the best defensive ammo so-far devised. Small, discrete, light-in-weight and above all reliable.
Heck, even a 17 oz Ruger LCR in 38 Special, loaded with wadcutters, would do all that a person needs if attacked. How much would Dindu enjoy having the equivalent of a 0.355″ diameter rod rammed through his chest when he thought he had an easy victim on the plate?
But remember, most people do not do “what-if” scenarios and plan accordingly. Most people won’t buy a fire extinguisher, many don’t care if their car has a tire jack/spare tire, and most people won’t imagine they could draw the “short straw” and be targeted by a savage predator.
Today, most people who do “what if” have already joined the club. The rest are about whom we read.

When I was a young kid living in Jackson Heights, NY, there was a rash of car windows in a 5 block radius constantly getting broken for a few months. Turned out it was a local window guy paying “teens” to go around breaking them late at night.

Locked up orcs only employ the jail or prison complex, Freed orcs let police and courts in on the action. Freed convicted orcs are the absolute tops, easiest to track and rearrest. Orcs are ‘recycled’ till their first murder makes it too difficult to free them; also explains 10-page rap sheets.
A lack of law & order and a few preventable civilian deaths is a small price to pay for those millions in taxes.

Sad. Any if us here could have predicted this outcome. It’s hard not to blame the girl for her blatant stupidity but I’m guessing a lot of blame can be directed at the “we’re all the same” indoctrination she’s been exposed to all her life. She’s told constantly that white people are to blame for the black man’s woes and that we should do all we can to lift them up. Add in all the mixed-race bullshit in movies, TV and commercials and you get this warped vision of racial reality that so many of her generation have. Unfortunately for her, her wake-up moment almost came at the expense of her life….if she’s even figured it out yet.
