Nothing upset the Washington Beltway elites more than when in a 2007 presidential debate I pointed out the truth about the 9/11 attacks: they attacked us because we’ve been in the Middle East, sanctioning and bombing the civilian population, for decades. The 9/11 attackers were not motivated to commit suicide terrorism on the Twin Towers and Pentagon because they dislike our freedoms, as then-President Bush claimed. That was a self-serving lie.

They hated – and hate – us because we kill them for no reason. Day after day. Year after year. Right up until just a few days ago, when President Biden slaughtered Zemari Ahmadi and nine members of his family – including seven children – in Afghanistan. The Administration bragged about taking out a top ISIS target. But they lied. Ahmadi was just an aid worker, working for a California-based organization, bringing water to suffering Afghan village residents.

This horror has been repeated thousands of times, over and over, for decades. Does Washington believe these people are subhuman? That they somehow don’t care about their relatives being killed? That they don’t react as we would react if a foreign power slaughtered our families?

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright famously suggested in an interview that killing half a million Iraqi children with sanctions designed to remove Saddam Hussein from power was “worth it.” It was an admission that the lives of innocents mean nothing to the Washington elite, even as they paint their murderous interventions as some kind of “humanitarian liberation.” The slogan of the US foreign policy establishment really should be, “No Lives Matter.”

The Washington foreign policy elites – Republicans and Democrats – are deeply corrupt and act contrary to US national interests. They pretend that decades of indiscriminate bombing overseas are beneficial to the victims and keep us safer as well. That is how they are able, year after year, to convince Congress to hand over a trillion dollars – money taken directly and indirectly from average Americans. They use fear and lies for their own profit. And they call themselves patriots.

The Washington establishment lied to us because they did not want us to stop for a second and try to understand the motive for the 9/11 attacks. Police detectives are not apologists for killers when they try to look for a motive for the crime. But the Washington elite did not want us to think about why people might be motivated to suicide attack. That might endanger their 100-year gravy train.

What was the real message of 9/11 to Americans? Give up your freedoms for the false promise of security. It’s OK for the government to spy on all of us. It’s OK for the TSA to abuse us for the “privilege” of traveling in our own country. We must continue to bomb people overseas. Don’t worry it’s only temporary.

So, twenty years on what have we learned from 9/11? Absolutely nothing. And we all know what the philosopher George Santayana said about those incapable of learning from history. I desperately hope that somehow the United States will adopt a non-interventionist foreign policy, which would actually protect us from another attack. I truly wish Americans would demand that their leaders learn from history. The only way to make us safe is to end the reign of the Washington killing machine.

  1. Mr Paul, with all due respect, it was America’s dearest friend and self-described only democracy from the middle East and the deep state that carried out the 911 atrocity.
I suspect that you know the truth but realize saying it aloud will make your life intolerable. I respect you deeply and wish you had broken this unspoken taboo.

Truer words were never spoken. Why is Ron Paul such a rarity?

  3. … they attacked us because we’ve been in the Middle East, sanctioning and bombing the civilian population, for decades.

Right. There are many writers who are just anti-all-things-American on this site, who would justify that attack and excuse the perpetrators. I was about to add that pointing out the why is not the same as excusing those who did it. Then I saw that you covered this point with:

Police detectives are not apologists for killers when they try to look for a motive for the crime.

Thanks for that, Dr. Paul. Peak Stupidity covered implementation of additional Police State policies 20 years ago in our ’16 9/11 post “16 Years of Spreading Democracy – They still hate us for our freedoms(?)”

Now, 20 years later, even most conservative Americans have not learned anything from that recent history. The next round has been the additional Police State implementation of LOCKDOWNs, degrading face diapering, and mandatory vaccination with an experimental vaccine (well they are trying their best). You’ve covered this too.

I don’t think they will need another round 20 years from now. We will have gone full Orwell by then. Never go full Orwell!

Mr.Paul, like the good servant of Israel that you are, you carefully avoided the main reason why Muslims hate the American government: It’s support for Israeli crimes against humanity and land theft against the Palestinians. So, Mr.Paul … You may not be as much of a conformist as everybody else in the Congress, but you are still a Zionist/traitor.

‘Why is Ron Paul such a rarity?’

Because he has not declared fealty to the special interests.

  7. Excellent points by Dr. Paul. Bush, could have asked Americans to stand on their heads while eating lunch after 9/11/ He could in fact, have asked almost anything and gotten it. What did he do? He asked for sacrifices and they were made. Other than what involved the war, he did nothing, absolutely nothing. He could have adopted a border policy that for the first time, kept Americans safe, by vetting people who enter and completely rejecting illegal immigration. He did neither.

Now this “hero” is going around and taking part in putting down white men. When he talks of domestic extremists, that is what he means, despite all of the attacks at Marine bases, aat the Boston Marathon, in San Bernardino County in Los Angeles and so many others carried out by non-whites that were thwarted. What’s going on here? Clinton has also joined him previously. So has Carter. These Ex-Presidents have been reacting so bizarre and saying this so crazy, that it boggles the sane mind.

  8. OK, So we have for the most part learned nothing about obvious lying by our own Government and our own Deep State Government’s ability both Democrat and Republican to accomplish 9/11

We have not learned how to fight the COVID/Vaccination Death Trap. Any Righteous State Governors should implement these measures….. See

Horowitz: 12 things red-state legislatures must do tomorrow to reset COVID policy

DO NOT GET THE COVID INJECTIONS, do not let “them” kill lots of people in the Third World with more population control injections.

It’s Dr. Paul to you, hasbara

aren’t you the imbecile who’s going around insisting on the idiotic (((official narrative))) of ‘Osama did 9/11?

Dr. Ron Paul can be forgiven his tempered rhetoric. He has earned his place in Valhalla a thousand times over. His character and credentials are legendary, so he can be given a lot of leeway. For a public figure like Dr. Paul to dismiss popular narratives like the holohoax or 9/11, is simply not practical at this time.

You, on the other hand, aren’t worthy to wipe the dust from Dr. Ron Paul’s shoes.

Osama and his nineteen ‘terrorists’ did *not* do 9/11

    ZOG did 9/11

Israel, and treasonous elements in the Bush administration, did 9/11

  10. Rurik says:
    @Dr. Charles Fhandrich

    it boggles the sane mind.

I’ve added the ‘echoes’ to make sense of what seems like insanity

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of (((a few men))). We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of (((a small group of dominant men))).”

    – Woodrow Wilson

And that was a hundred years ago.

In another hundred years, Europe and North America will be one giant Rotherham.

(I’d say Gaza, but the denizens of Gaza have far too much self-respect and spiritual integrity than to allow the wholesale rape of their children by orcs. Not so the cowed, spiritually dead worms of the West, for whom shekels are a replacement for blood, dignity and honor).

    Anyways, thanks Woody! [RIH]

Woodrow Wilson, as I have previously pointed out spent his time in college writing what he considered clever poetry. Robert Frost he was not. A sample of this educated mans poetry:

As a beauty I’m not a great star
    others are fairer by far
but my face, I don’t mind it
    because I’m behind it
it’s the folks out in front that I jar.

Two observations here. He was truthful. and
Well, at least it’s beyond the skill of todays a-hum, “President.”

Don’t expect to ever read this in a newspaper or newsweekly, Ron. On the other hand, ever since the world, and everything that happens in it, can now be reduced to helps/hurts Orange Man (Who Is Bad), journalism has never been more focused – as pinpoint as a Mark Milley backdoor drone attack. No need to waste time & toil digging when everyone, the readers foremost, already knows what they’re going to find down there. News reporting is a business. So they report what people want to read. Integrity? How does that affect the bottom line? Another aspect of American society which has ‘gone corporate’.
