The incredible cruelty and folly of forced vaccines finally came home to roost. The vaccine mandate backlash has been bubbling just under the surface, but now it has spilled out into the open, threatening to completely derail an already crumbling economy and to obliterate a deeply unpopular US President and Administration.
Seemingly out of nowhere what appears to be a Southwest Airlines rebellion has taken flight this weekend. According to media reports, scores of pilots and other Southwest employees have coordinated the taking of “sick days” to use them up in advance of a Southwest Airlines mandate to get the jab or lose the job. Over Saturday and Sunday more than 2,000 flights have been cancelled, with airports experiencing full-on mayhem.
The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association is suing the airline over the imposed vaccine mandate, bolstering the claim that there is a “sick out” underway among angry Southwest pilots.
The mainstream media is doing its best to keep a lid on the expanding rebellion against the vaccine mandates, and Southwest Airlines itself is blaming the cancellations on bad weather and a lack of air traffic controllers. However, the weather problems that Southwest claims to be experiencing seem unique to that carrier: no other airline (thus far) is reporting such weather-related cancellations. And FAA spokesperson Steve Kulm told USA Today that “No FAA air traffic staffing shortages have been reported since Friday.”
Will other pilots, such as at American Airlines, follow suit? Rumors are circling that this is only the beginning.
Over the past few weeks, thousands of nurses, medical workers, and first responders have either quit or been fired for refusing to receive a medical treatment they do not want or need. The “nursing shortage” that Democrat politicians and the mainstream media had been blaming on “rising Covid cases” has been in reality a man-made disaster of historic proportions. The nursing crisis is not caused by “Covid” – cases have been in decline in the US for weeks. It is caused by the firing of medical personnel who refuse to take the experimental Covid shots.
The stupidity of adopting a policy of firing healthcare workers while at the same time claiming that there is a raging pandemic gripping the country has not been lost on Americans. President Biden’s polling numbers have unsurprisingly been in freefall, with major Democrat candidates like Virginia’s Terry McAuliffe openly complaining that the deeply unpopular Biden is threatening him in a tight race for governor.
While Biden Administration lackeys like Fauci are telling Americans they can’t celebrate Christmas again this year, more and more of America is finished with this “public health” terrorism. Here in Texas, a hundred thousand unmasked Texas A&M fans poured onto the football field on Saturday after a last minute surprise victory over Alabama. In Texas and elsewhere, the Administration is losing the fear factor.
History may record this weekend as the turning point against the Biden Administration’s Covid tyranny. From nurses to pilots to truckers to even Amtrak workers, it appears that America is standing up and saying “enough!” Every one of our fellow citizens standing up on principle to oppose tyranny – facing the loss of their jobs and security – is owed a debt of gratitude by all who love liberty. Let’s hope that the peaceful rebellion continues to grow!

Until tonight’s Tucker Carlson Tonight program, I was unaware of the incipient rebellion due to the purposeful amnesia of the MSM!
I wonder if this one got told in the Lyin’ Press: There were flights out of Atlanta Hartsfield that got told on the taxi-out they could not operate on a couple of the SIDS (Standard Iinstrument Departures) toward S. Georgia and Florida on Friday evening (at least), though there was no weather whatsoever en route. Some had half-hour or more delays, and some had to go back to the gate for fuel for longer routes.
It turns out that a number of stand-up controllers at the Jacksonville Center* had a walk-out over the mandatory experimental vaccine. There were not enough people to cover the IFR traffic in some sectors. That includes some of the SW Airlines flights that were planning to fly into Florida from points west.
Time to stand for something, people, or you’ll fall for anything.

Yes, the major airlines are either trying to make personal medical decisions for these employees, or they are pushing it hard. However, many other medium and large companies are succumbing to outside pressure and demanding the vax too.
Peak Stupidity has a story in the post “Just Another Maskless Monday” about a family member in a medium-sized company that requires every employee to take the jab by a coming deadline or get fired even if he works solely from home!
Here’s an idea I’ll throw out for any lawyers in the Ron Paul reading audience: Why not use the HIPAA laws against these corporate tyrants? “Sorry, I may or may not have been vaccinated for some things, but I will not disclose that to HR, just like I will not disclose my problem with STDs. You don’t wanna know, and you would be violating HIPAA laws to ask.” Just a thought.
Looks like Southwest’s vaccine mandate is moot now that the Governor of TX has signed an Executive Order banning all such mandates in the state of TX, which is the HQ for SW. Oops.

Companies are in a tough spot. It is pretty obvious that Not-The-President Biden is going to lose in the courts. However, there is little upside to being the ‘test case’. Each company is trying to do enough to let some other company lead the court challenge.

Mike, about (2), does that mean employees can tell their employers that they are afraid of violating the the HIPAA, so their lawyer advised them to not disclose? I’m no lawyer, but this is a time in which I really wish I knew more. I can’t answer (1) either – not up for reading a big-ass 100 page law unless I were getting paid.
I can write at least about this guy (the CEO in question), PW. He’s always treated the employees very well in the past, or my family member wouldn’t have stayed as long as he has. You may not have read the PS post, but the real kicker is that, if you do not get the vax and get fired, he says you won’t get expected severance pay. Now, it’s not that 2 weeks or a month’s pay is the biggest deal here, but this is downright vindictive.
When I was a boy my deceased father worked in the coal mines. He belonged to the United Mine Workers Union, a once powerful organization with tens of thousands of members. When one disgruntled miner, for whatever reason, dumped his water on the ground before the shift started, the rest followed suit and all the miners went home for the day.
That’s when unions had power over the company. Anyone who crossed a picket line was called a “scab,” and was likely to get his car tires punctured or beaten up. There were often “wild cat” strikes even though they were illegal. Guess what? No one in the union dared cross a picket line.
Given Biden’s growing Covid vax tyranny, the unions need grow a pair and all stick together. Those not in unions, like workers who toil in Amazon’s giant warehouses, should do the same if their billionaire oligarch owner Bezos tries to enforce a vax mandate. Given the Biden induced labor shortage, there aren’t nearly enough workers to replace them. A truck drivers strike would shut down the country. What would senile Biden do then? Why is anyone still listening to that old fool anyway?
There is strength in numbers. The only way that companies will back down from the vax mandates is if it devastates their bottom line, and investors to flee. Workers can win this if they re-learn what their grandfathers knew – stick together or die separately.
Something else that the MSM doesn’t like at all is the Sanctuary Movement and they refuse to cover it (thanks to A123 for the news link).

Although I am a lawyer, I do not pretend to know this topic well. I have represented individuals and small businesses in situations, including litigation, where HIPAA related issues arose.
HIPAA does not outright ban the disclosure of PHI (protected health information0n); rather HIPAA regulates the disclosure of PHI.
HIPAA governs the disclosure of PHI by covered entities. For example, take Doctors for Death, LLC, a pharmaceutical inspired family medical practice. The practice regularly obtains / receives protected health information about its patients / victims.
The company would be a covered entity according to the feds. A covered entity can be a sole-proprietorship, a partnership, an LLC, an LLP, a corporation, or a non-profit if it receives and / or discloses patient PHI.
Now, suppose Nurse Ratchet is employed by Doctors for Death, LLC. Suppose also that you were foolish enough to patronize Doctors for Death. Nurse Hatchet would be prohibited from disclosing your PHI to Dr. Vinny Boombatz unless you authorized such disclosure.
HIPAA would not be implicated if Nurse Hatchet disclosed her vaccine status to her employer.
Unfortunately, almost no one really needs to fly anywhere, for any reason. Back when air travel was reduced down to 10 percent of pre-pandemic levels, life worked fine. What really would need to happen is that (1) each farmer would have to call himself on the phone, and, say, “Self, I won’t be riding the tractor today, I’m feeling sick.”; and (2) workers who are employees in truly essential fields would need to reconcile themselves to getting fired and destroying the family, and, causing actual mortality and morbidity among people deprived of their services.

What I find strange about all this is that no union seems to be willing to admit they are on strike. I have never seen people on strike not wanting to talk about the fact they are on strike! As a rule, publicity is their best friend and their main weapon.

Coordinating sick outs as a workaround is colloquially known as “The Blue Flu”.
I do not know the specifics for the Pilots contract, however it most likely has some provisions against “worker actions” in it.
The controllers action at Jacksonville Center ATC definitely required a “Blue Flu”.

I believe the pilot’s union is in a difficult legal position if they say that they are officially on strike.
But the old unions were made up of men.
No Old Sport; the whole point is just that: To shut this country down. They want nothing more than for you to strike, and nothing less than for you to have to leave your job kicking and screaming.
I don’t work any more, Sport, so it doesn’t affect me, however, I have been a participant in strikes before working with the IBEW and UAW so it isn’t as if I would not go on strike if I still worked. Some things are more important than a job or going hungry. And for people with kids? Buy cheaper clothes, shoes, grow your own veggies and fruits or eat meat only once a week and stick with veggies and fruits. Hell, the cheaper and better diet will save you on meds and doctors.
I personally know a pilot for American Airlines and he states that no way in hell is he going to take the jab. Given he has saved plenty, and has other means of income like rental properties, I am sure he is not whistling Dixie. These pilots IF they are captains are making around 300 bucks an hour so I have to say I never had to give up that kind of bread, but I would have under these dire conditions in a heartbeat.
You cannot train airline pilots overnight and since the majority are WHITE and MALE, then WHY would they not strike, this nation doesn’t fight for them. Lets do it. hehe. This nation is anti-White male.

Another factor is that, and I don’t speak about the SWA union, but ALPA is woke and onboard with the PanicFest as you would expect from about any big organization shy of the John Birch Society ;-} nowadays. A123, as you imply, an official strike is one thing, but people have to be really careful in how they state things otherwise.
Here’s a real big advantage these pilots and the ATC controllers have: Both groups are needed very badly right now, and it takes a long time to train people up. For controllers, it’s years! For pilots, even with enough ready to sign on, what will happen is training will get backed up like a toilet in a Sumo Wrestling training center, due to the limited amount of very expensive flight simulators. It may also take time measured in years.
I predict the airlines will back off but make statements to save face.

Southwest just backed down on this. American Airlines will not require the vax. Delta Airlines backed down, as, though they hadn’t yet had a requirement, they were making threats of various “stick” vs. their current “carrot” incentives that would have started in November. Most of that didn’t happen. I am not just glad about this for the employees’ personal sakes, but I am glad to see people standing up to Big Biz to the point where they chickened out.
