The Canadian Freedom Convoy left Prince Rupert on January 22, arriving in Ottawa one week later, January 29. During its week on the road the convoy got no mainstream media attention whatsoever. Nor did the fake left pseudo-alternative media (Democracy Now, The Nation, Mother Jones, etc.) cover the Convoy, the biggest workers’ protest in North America since teachers occupied the Wisconsin state capitol in 2011. Only after Ottawa was noisily occupied by the truckers and their supporters did the media finally break its silence. Rather than balanced coverage, they’ve emitted a steady outpouring of slander.
In similar fashion, RFK Jr.’s The Real Anthony Fauci spent a month at the top of the national bestseller lists after its publication on November 16, 2021—and the media failed to notice the book’s existence, much less review it. Then on December 15, as Ron Unz explains:

The Freedom Convoy and RFK Jr.’s book should have been huge stories from day one. Instead, the media, under orders from their bankster owners, ignored them as long as possible. Finally, when it became obvious the stories were too big to ignore, the banksters ordered a fusilade of character assassination.
The same pattern pertained during the rise of the 9/11 truth movement. During the early years (2001-2006) the movement was subjected to a media blackout. Then in mid-2006, when polls showed that more than a third of Americans thought it likely that 9/11 was an inside job designed to trigger the invasions of Muslim countries, and the truth movement had attracted endorsements from over 100 university professors, the bankster media owners decided it was time to move from silence to slander.
As an apocryphal quote has it:
Gandhi once observed that every movement goes through four stages: First they ignore you; then they abuse you; then they crack down on you and then you win.
Things move faster now than they did in Gandhi’s time. The abuse and the crackdown stages are now telescoped together.
How long will it take the people to get tired of the endless abuse and crackdowns, and finally rise up and win?

Call me naive, but I’m guessing that at least some of the initial media silence is often caused by the vast majority of “journalism professionals” lacking things like journalistic competence, enthusiasm, diligence and perceptiveness in identifying and covering stories.
Unless we get some journalistic whistle-blowers saying “I wanted to cover the truckers from day one, but was told to let it go” we’ll never know how much the story was intentionally buried, versus merely shrugged off by morons who don’t know what real news is anymore.
(not that both don’t work just as well for the people who actively WANT the story ignored)
More likely the working journalists would just internalize the command not to cover it. Internalized commands are still commands.

I can’t imagine who the people might be that take seriously what the big media sources, in Europe, in the U.S, Australia, or Canada broadcast. Everything that is in anyway serious to their own populations they lie about.
I am always amused when the big government connected media sources use the phrase, “progressive Americans.” The term “progressive American’s” does not exist, simply because there are no “‘progressives,”‘ that are “American’s just as there are no “illegal aliens” who are “Americans.” In both cases, the laws still on the books that define who an American is, have disqualified them from being “Americans.”

Even the Canadians, whose government rights gives them less rights than our own, are willing to fight and put some skin into the game, vs. Americans, who sit and watch the clown show ruining their country. Journalist quickly learn what their editor will publish and act accordingly. Plus, if journalist send in too many negative reports they get fired..

The media – both news and entertainment – have now politicized nearly everything in our society as an extremely powerful mechanism of control.
Politicization is so effective at manipulating the populace because most people emotionally connect their personal belief system to the belief system of their political party, and so then any attack on their party – legitimate or otherwise – is interpreted by their brain as an attack on themselves. Reason and logic then jump out the nearest window as raw emotion takes the helm, thus making them even more susceptible to the predatory controlling influences.
This is an extremely damaging and misfortunate exploit of human nature. Worse, this exploit is as easy to execute as flipping a light switch for the majority of the population – and it is currently being employed to its maximum effect.

The media these days is samizdat. Samizdat has 10 -100 times the readership of regimist media outlets. For example; CNN ~750,000 viewers. That‘s the reach of a mid-tier YouTube blogger. Zerohedge in stark contrast has 35,000,000 daily page views. Unz Review, which is by any definition a esoteric niche publication has 1,750,000 readers. That’s nearly 3x CNN.
Regimist media is dead. The only purpose reading regimist media is to find out what the War Party is up to.

There is still stuff worth reading at VT. I have always had disagreements with Gordon, including deep philosophical ones, but appreciate his willingness to let me publish whatever I want there.
Also he isn’t completely wrong about COVID. It really is a dangerous virus and a US bioweapon. Those are the two most important facts about it. So much of the alternative media is even more wrong than he is.
I very much agree with you on the parallels between covid and 9/11. From all the evidence, this plandemic has been in the works for a long time, just like 9/11 was. They’ve always had compliant media but I’m sure BMG foundation’s millions in recent years made them feel really confident on that front. The other prerequisite has to be a compliant and supportive administration and deep state. They got it all under Biden.
I shudder to think what Gates and company are planning for the next one.

i think that observation that people believe false stuff begs the questions
1. why do they take seriously that which is obviously corrupted
2. and what can be done to change that result.

I do not have the answer, but i offer a hypothesis to answer the question.
the people do not rise up and win because no plan has been distributed that the people willing and able to rise can collectively agree to and fully understand. Any effort to develop such a plan would likely find the establishment seeking to call its development a conspiracy and to label those those involved in the conspiracy domestic terrorist.
Watching the UTube video conducted by the truckers themselves last Sunday night, I understood one very important and unusual thing, the truckers were not only committed to their plan, but the plan they each committed to was a) the same plan b) was clearly defined in objective terms, c) in consequential terms, and d) in time terms and e) in the clarity of the goals to be attained. This feature of the demonstration I think frustrated any attempt by outsiders to corrupt the intentions of the Truckers. and it prevented the project from being partition in divide and conquer factions, and from being taken over by a third party seeking to interfere or to redirect the Truckers intentions. The truckers announced they had legal help available for every member of their Boycott, if an when needed, and when Truckers suffered a loss, as a result of the boycott everyone chipped in to redress that issue. Also the truckers trained, prepared, monitored and controlled the relations between the authorities and the truckers who were objects of inquiry or subjected to molestation by the authorities.
Because nation states create and privatize monopoly power, created by the laws of the nation state, the commercial entities are now bigger and more powerful than any of the nation states that make the laws. Because of their size, the private monopoly powered global-in-size commercial interest have developed sufficient power to circumvent the political system in each of the nation states.
