So a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on all thirty-four charges of having falsified business records in 2017 with the intent to cover up another crime. What was that other crime? I don’t know. Does anybody?
What came to my mind on hearing the verdict was an old legal story from 19th-century Ireland when, to quote a history of the time, “violence and sectarian tensions abounded” and “the jury system came under considerable strain.” Juries often sympathized with the accused.
In one of these cases a judge is said to have dismissed a prisoner with the words “You have been acquitted by a Limerick jury, and you may now leave the dock without any other stain upon your character!”
Thursday’s verdict was of the opposite kind. We can fairly say to Trump: “You, Sir, having been doggedly outspoken against the ideology of our Ruling Class and having defeated one of its champions, you have been pronounced guilty by a Manhattan jury, and you may now leave the dock without any stain whatsoever on your character.”
Trump’s real crime, the one for which our Ruling Class will never forgive him, was defeating their candidate, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 Presidential election. That was the wound that will not heal.
There are already other criminal charges against Trump elsewhere.
- Forty counts in Florida for alleged mis-handling of government documents, trial date indefinitely postponed.
- Four counts in Washington, D.C. of plotting to subvert the transfer of power following the 2020 election, trial currently held up by appeals.
- Ten state felony counts in Georgia for plotting to overturn the 2020 election result in that state, trial date not yet set.
That’s fifty-four charges to add to the 34 Trump was found guilty of on Thursday. So not yet a hundred counts in total, but you can be sure we’ll get there. The Trump-hunters will never quit.
There are plenty of other jurisdictions where the D.A. and his prosecutors are plump from feeding at George Soros’ trough and the jury poo l is reliably Woke. The wound will never heal, the hunt will never end.
I wasn’t surprised by the result and I doubt it will much affect what will happen in November’s Presidential election. What will happen, in my opinion, is that the Ruling Class will rig the vote counts just as they did in 2020, and the Democratic Party’s candidate will win.
The only election result I’ll take at all seriously is one where voters, other than serving military, had to show up and identify themselves at a properly-supervised location on a specific day.

Having mentioned Mrs. Clinton just there, I got to wondering how she’s doing.
You know how it is with geezers: we like to keep track of each other. That’s partly for actuarial purposes, but there’s also a fascination to it: seeing our schoolyard playmates, or guys and gals that might have been our playmates, at the other end of life.
We remember, or we can imagine, what they were like in the schoolyard. It’s surprising how similar they can be seven and a half decades on.
Hillary’s two years younger than me; Donald Trump’s one year younger than me; Biden, two and a half years older. The clock’s ticking on all of us.
So … how’s the lady doing?
Well, she’s keeping herself busy. Late February, for example, she gave an interview for a forthcoming book, title: The Fall of Roe: The Rise of a New America. Amazon gives the publication date as June 4th, next Tuesday.

The Roe in the book’s title is the one in Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that abortion is a constitutional right. The ruling was struck down by the 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson ruling that returned abortion regulation to the individual states.
So it’s all about abortion. Clinton blames her own party for the Dobbs decision:
We didn’t take it seriously, and we didn’t understand the threat. Most Democrats, most Americans, did not realize we are in an existential struggle for the future of this country. We could have done more to fight.
With true Clintonian narcissism, she lets herself off the hook:
Mrs. Clinton did not express regret for any inaction herself. Rather, she said her efforts to raise alarms during her 2016 campaign went unheeded and were dismissed as “alarmist” by voters, politicians and members of her own party. In that race, she had talked about the threats to abortion rights on the campaign trail and most memorably in the third presidential debate, vowing to protect Roe when Mr. Trump promised to appoint judges who would overturn it.
And of course, everything is “existential.” The Ruling Class loves that word. Here’s Hillary again, this time talking about the current election campaign:
This election is existential. I mean, if we don’t make the right decision in this election in our country, we may never have another actual election. I will put that out there because I believe it. And if we no longer have another actual election, we will be governed by a small minority of right-wing forces that are well organized and well funded and are getting exactly what they want in terms of turning the clock back on women.
Right. Opening the borders to twenty million illegal aliens isn’t “existential.” Discouraging military enlistment by loading up the armed services with DEI head-counters isn’t “existential.” Ending our fossil-fuel independence isn’t “existential.”
But letting the voters of the separate states make their own decisions about abortion regulation—that’s “existential.”
From there, the lady’s off and running, to ever greater heights of narcissism and hypocrisy. She accuses Trump’s Supreme Court nominees Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett of lying in their confirmation hearings:
They just flat-out lied. And Democrats did nothing in the Senate. If I’d still been in the Senate, and on the Judiciary Committee, I think, you know, I hope I would have tried to do more about what were just outright prevarications.
And back, back, to the wound that will not heal: her defeat in the 2016 election:
Mrs. Clinton said she saw her defeat in that election as inextricable from her gender. As she has in the past, she blamed the former F.B.I. director James Comey’s last-minute reopening of the investigation of her private email server for her immediate defeat. Mr. Comey had raised questions about her judgment and called her “extremely careless” but recommended no criminal charges. Other political strategists have faulted her message, strategy and various missteps by her campaign for her loss in 2016.
“But once he did that to me, the people, the voters who left me, were women. They left me because they just couldn’t take a risk on me, because as a woman, I’m supposed to be perfect.”
No, Hillary, you’re not supposed to be perfect. You are, though, supposed to be a person with some track record of real accomplishment, who cares about something other than her own precious self.
Still, I guess there’s been progress here. To judge from those extracts in the Times, at least she’s no longer blaming her defeat on Russia Russia Russia …

Hilary has always been notable for her extreme sense of entitlement along with her total lack of self-awareness that her political rise is entirely related to her husband – without him, at best she would be a state senator back in Arkansas. Toss in her appallingly bad judgment on foreign policy as well as what would have been insane judicial choices, I am forever grateful to Mr. Trump for keeping her out of the White House.
Still, it’s amusing to see Democrats carry on that after 2024 there might be no further elections at all, which is actually what *they* want. Sure, people will show up at polls and performatively vote, but the intention of the left is blindingly clear that there should never be a competitive national election again.

Hillary Clinton asserted that she had been named after the famous mountain climber, Sir Edmund Hillary. Well, the stupidity of that story didn’t take long to emerge, because Hillary was born in 1947, whereas Sir Edmund Hillary did not summit Everest until 1953. In 1947, Edmund was an anonymous New Zealand beekeeper and hill climber. Well, a normal person would have simply said she made the mistake of accepting, without independent chronological research, a family story that had gotten legs of its own over the years. People would have been very sympathetic, because we give “family story” a lot of leeway and respect. But no, for a decade Hillary and her campaign stuck with the story that she had been named after the Everest Summiteer.

There was never any doubt that this “acting judge”, whatever that may be, would force the jury to convict Trump of these non-crimes…34 counts of allegedly wrong paperwork, misdemeanors, all banned by the statute of limitations….What was Trump “guilty” of? Apparently violating Federal election law, which the FEC had already ruled against…and which this court had NO jurisdiction over….It’s well known in the legal profession that New York courts are all crooked, and have been for decades, but this case tops the list of insanity…

You need not make it that complicated. The franchise should be comprised of 1) men, who 2) are married, and 3) have children.
The two existential threats to this country are uncontrolled immigration and uncontrolled federal deficits. In June 2022 the national debt was 30.5 trillion dollars, in June 2023 it was 32.5 trillion, in June 2024 it is 34.5 trillion. The immigration and debt issues are related in that illegal immigrants and their families receive more in government benefits than they pay in taxes.
A 2023 FAIR study found that illegal immigrants pay 31 billion dollars yearly in taxes while they and their families cost American taxpayers 180 billion dollars a year. Illegal immigrants take a bad situation and make it worse.
Unless the country increases the quality of immigrants by cutting off illegal immigration and adopting some sort of points system that only lets in immigrants who end up paying more in taxes than they collect in govetnment benefits, more immigration will continue to contribute to out of control government spending.
I think we should limit the franchise to net taxpayers. Anyone else who votes dilutes the representation of the taxpayers. Wasn’t the revolution all about “no taxation without representation?” Essentially the war of independence may as well have not happened.
This is rich. Comey taking the reigns of the investigation was a whitewash – the documents in question were then the subject if a Congressional Committee inquiry. Comey rode to Clinton’s rescue, taking the documents and “working with” Clintonworld to distinguish the personal yoga routine documents from the documents of the United States generated by the Secretary of State. He allowed Clinton’s minions to corral all of the damaging material as “personal” and destroy it, including by destroying the hard drives so that they could never be recovered. He gave her a publicly plausible way to shield her misdeeds from the electorate by conspiring with her camp to (irony of ironies) obstruct an official Congressional investigation.
The Clintons were so arrogant and sloppy that the material that was supposed to have been segregated as either official or personal with the personal material destroyed was found to be on a shared Weiner/Abedin laptop when Weiner got caught in his underage sex crimes. That compelled Comey to pretend to be a serious public servant by “reopening” his investigation to smother Clinton’s problem yet again (how could he not and still keep up the charade that the first investigation was anything other than a whitewash?). Comey calling Clinton a “bad doggie” on both occasions was the price that had to be paid for his whitewash of what were certainly much more serious problems in those documents to be destroyed and never turned over to Congress. Also, I recall hearing at the time that the reopening of the investigation was compelled by career FBI guys in the SDNY who investigated Weiner/Carlos Danger signalling to Comey that they’d leak if he continued to smother the revelation that the Weiner/Abedin laptop from which Weiner committed sex crimes contained official records of the U.S.

Nobody thinks the 2020 election was legitimate, but Americans of a certain age do not want to admit how bad things have gotten.
I have my own favorite dig at Hillary Clinton. Every time I talk about Elizabeth I, I call her “the real smartest woman in world.” That’s Elizabeth I, the daughter of the mass murderer Henry VIII, not the Elizabeth who was the mother of King Charles.
Hillary Clinton was expert at doing end runs around herself. She could have been elected president in 2004 had she not made the clever move, she thought at the time, of announcing when she ran for the Senate from New York in 2000 that she would not use the office as a steppingstone and would not run for president in 2004. Her logic was impeccable – she figured that if the Democrat Al Gore was elected, she couldn’t run against him and if the Republican George W. Bush was elected, he would be the incumbent. A further element of her logic is that it was not desirable to speak of the possibility of her party’s presidential nominee losing.
It was good logic, but the problem was, no one knows the future. Not even Hillary Clinton. If she’d left the door open, she could have run in 2004. Instead, she targeted 2008 as her “year”, but then destiny, someone else’s, intervened. Then it intervened again in 2016. Too bad for her Barack Obama won in 2008. Otherwise, 2012 could have been her “year”.
She can’t admit it publicly, but it is no one’s fault but her own that she never became president. I’m sure she knows that. I’ve run down this analysis a number of times over 16 years now. I’m sure the Clinton political intelligence apparatus has picked it up. If she wasn’t smart enough to figure it out for herself, she could have gotten it from me if from no one else. I’ve never seen anyone else say the same, but I can’t believe no one else ever has.
For as long as I remember people have been praising Canadian immigration policies, which supposedly keep out unskilled people likely to be a burden on society. I used to agree with this myself, however looking at the chaos now unfolding in that country I no longer know what to think.
She is married to one of best politicians of the era, but like a teenager rebelling against her dad, did the opposite of everything he advised her to do. He told her to focus on big important issues that matter to everybody (“It’s the economy stupid.”) She ignored this and went down the identity-politics rabbit-hole, courting every boutique minority but disregarding the ordinary voter. I was just watching the first half hour of RT documentary Ukraine’s Arms Barons, which traces the path of black market arms from the post-USSR period to today into war zones in Africa, the Middle East, and former Yugoslavia. Persons with Israeli dual citizenship figure prominently. Towards the end a name familiar to those who’ve followed the Clintons jumped out at me; Marc Rich, the financier convicted of tax evasion whom Bill Clinton issued a pardon to during the end of his second term. Marc’s wife was a major Democratic fundraiser during his incarceration. Another facet that makes the show worth viewing is the exposure of US government cooperation with these merchants of death.
What Trump is dealing with is not merely a political party with entrenched loyalist in government. It’s the most powerful organized crime gang in world history.

Correct. Hillary carpetbagged to Arkansas in late 1974 after completing her service on the House Judiciary Committee staff, and married ‘Bill’ in 1975.
Arkansans became acquainted with the Hildabeest after ‘Bill’ was elected governor in 1978. And they loathed her … for everything from keeping her maiden name Rodham, to her dismal, frumpy fashion sense, to her venomous slurs on Arkansas and its culture.

Hillary could not possibly, under any circumstances, have won any elected office in Arkansas. That’s why she decamped to Washington D.C. and then to New York.
That the airport in Little Rock is named Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport is a shameful stain upon the state which doubtless will be rectified no sooner than these two ghastly grifters march off this mortal coil, to general applause and sighs of relief.

I have some other speculation about Clinton. Her father may have had some Mob connections. In the Chicago of that era, I don’t think he could have succeeded in the business he was in without the Mob’s approval. In any case, her social pattern is exactly that of a Mafia daughter. My ultimate conspiracy theory pertains to the 2016 election. Maybe it wasn’t close at all and they fixed it to make it look closer. What winner asks for an investigation? Another thought I have had is that maybe the powers-that-be knew of a reason why Clinton could not be president. I don’t know what that reason could be, but it would have to be something deeper and more important than just the issue of same sex orientation. It is only widely speculated that Clinton was bisexual but there is no proof of it out there.

Here’s my take on 2016. The election was indeed rigged to swing in favor of Hillary, but it wasn’t rigged enough. Trump’s margin of victory was so large that the fixers simply couldn’t manufacture enough phony votes to get her past Trump. Hence her drunken, foul-mouthed tantrum on election night: she was told she’d win, and then she was trounced. Of course it didn’t help that she’s a nasty, hateful harridan. When polled, voters said they’d vote for her because it was the right answer, the fashionable answer. But in the privacy of the voting booth . . .
Bill Clinton grew up in Arkansas and his putative father died before he was born. Would he really have been groomed for the position of President (Rhodes Scholar, governor, etc in the 80s James Michener had a coffee table book published in which he was highlighted if as governor of Arkansas) if both his parents were the people they were claimed to be. I’m sure he’s very intelligent, but would that be enough? His real name isn’t Clinton, in any event. The Rockefellers have a history of going to small poor states like Arkansas and West Virginia and using their money to control the place, run for office, buy up the property.

One possible spin on the situation is that Trump won by a very large margin in 2016. It was not possible to overturn the result, but what they did was set it up so that it looked very close. The object was to cripple Trump politically. They could not overturn it because the operation would have exposed. Since Trump was declared the winner, he had no motive to challenge the result. There are a lot of possible theories. One of them is that they counted the votes and it came out the way it did.
The deep explanation for why 2016 could have been fixed is that there was some reason we have not been told about why Hillary Clinton could not be allowed to be president. In any case, as the great Leslie Gore once said in another context, you would cry too if it happened to you.

I have a come to a conclusion about Clinton that a lot of people do not want to accept. I do not believe that he is as smart as people think he is. For one thing (it was eventually reported) he had a 1032 composition on the pre-1994 SAT. According to the people who chart these things, a 1032 composite equates to an median IQ of 112. I don’t think his IQ is as low as 112, although IQ 112 is distinctly above average and the floor for the capability to complete college and go on to graduate and professional education.
Throughout his life in the national and international eye since early 1992, I have never seen him exhibit any intellectual originality or any capabilities as a political theorist. His traits are more like those of a sales manager rather than an intellectual. He does not have the characteristics of a person with the extremely high IQ some people believe him to have.
All the charts that show the comparison between IQ and scores on various college and university tests only show what the median is at every score level. With one exception, my score on every college and university aptitude test I have taken in my life has correlated on the charts to a higher IQ score than I have ever gotten on an actual IQ test. It might be the opposite for someone else.

In 2016, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin were the principal swing states. These three were principal swing states again in 2020. This time, truckloads of ballots arrived only after midnight and produced just enough votes to swing these states to Biden. Maybe it was all honest, but if it doesn’t make you think about the possibility that it was rigged, there’s something wrong in your head.

1032 is not an incandescent score on the old (pre-1994) SAT. It’s around 75th percentile as a composite.
There has to be median IQ for every score on some other test and, conversely, a median score on every test for every IQ level. The correlation is not exact.
If Bill Clinton’s IQ is not as a high as is believed, the implications are more ominous than people know. Comprehensive testing produces both a “verbal” IQ score and a “performance” score. Verbal IQ means the same thing as IQ as the term is normally used.
A performance score close to or above the verbal score is a sure indicator of sociopathy. I learned this because I worked at a newspaper during the trial of serial killer John Wayne Gacy and saw the trial wire service copy as it came in. At the Gacy trial, a psychologist testified that Gacy’s performance score was higher than his verbal score and that this was an almost definitive indicator of sociopathy.
I’m not sure what Hillary Clinton’s issue is. I am sure she has a pretty high IQ, but having a high IQ does not rule out other psychopathologies. From time to time, I point out how little we know about the people we elect to high office in America, the people who potentially hold the power of life and death over us and even the entire world.
We do not know what their scores on major tests were (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, military GT or ASVAB or others if they have taken them). We do not know what courses they have taken or what their grades in them were. We do not know how far they went in their mathematical education or how well they did. We often do not know what foreign languages they have studied or learned and how far they got in them in terms of facility or fluency.
We may not be entitled to to all of the juicy details of their amorous lives, but it still might be nice to know what the generalities were and are. These do tell us something about the character and reliability of the person. Strangely, or maybe not so strangely, nevertheless we often know more about the amorous lives of our aspiring political leaders than we know about their actual intellectual profiles.

If I scored as low as Clinton I’d take the test again. His score suggest either that he was that poor that a retake wasn’t an option or that was the best he could do. As I said, dyslexia could explain it according to my friends with dylexia but I don’t know myself.

As far as Clinton’s SAT score is concerned, we just don’t know the story. Maybe his admission to Georgetown already had been arranged and he didn’t need to take it again. He finished second in his class at Hot Springs High School and, I presume, had Sen. Fulbright backing him.

A low test score isn’t necessarily evidence of average intelligence. It would be foolish to imagine that Bill Clinton had low verbal intelligence. He was well known to have excellent recall and memory of persons. Types like that are known to blow off tests.

Keep in mind, also, that verbal IQ is a term used in clinical psychology and psychometrics to describe was is generally called IQ plain and simple. An IQ score is itself a composite of scores. I have regularly scored in the 130s 0n IQ test throughout my life. My verbal abilities are very high and the verbal abilities of most of the people I have met with IQs in the 130s, including most of my fellow Mensa members, are high in verbal abilities and not as high in quantitative and abstract abilities.
My abstract and quantitative abilities undoubtedly are noticeably above the median for the population of all American college graduates regardless of type of institution attended, but that’s not saying so much. Some people make it into the “gifted” range, so-called, based on quantitative and abstract abilities, but then have lower verbal abilities. My considered opinion is that someone can score no higher than in the 130s on an IQ test on verbal abilities alone. People with IQs in the 140s and higher get there based on their abstract and mathematical aptitude.
I don’t know exactly what Bill Clinton’s intellectual profile was or is. I do not think that his IQ is as high as people think it is, or was. I think a lot of his traits are explicable as manifestations of sociopathic tendencies. When I said his abilities were suggestive of a sales manager, I was being oblique.
