NEW YORK – This city’s splendid Fifth Avenue and parts of the adjacent Central Park were thronged last weekend by masses of pro-Israel demonstrators demanding even more US support of Israel’s laying to waste of Gaza.
New York is the world’s leading Jewish City, exceeding even Israel’s Tel Aviv. More important, this city’s billionaires, many of them Jewish, are Israel’s most ardent and influential supporters. Their donations reach almost all politicians, high officials and, just revealed, important black and Hispanic members of Congress.
Those American students protesting Israel’s decades of repression of Palestinians now risk having their post-university careers ruined or seriously damaged by pro-Israel pressure groups. Never before have we seen such a dramatic and intimidating display of pro-Israel power. That, of course, was the point of last weekend’s huge demonstrations in New York and across the country.
The doddering President Joe Biden was certainly impressed. He has been kow-towing to Israel’s ruling right wing as pro-Israel supporters pour millions into his campaign coffers. But Donald Trump also has his billionaire Israel supporters, notably the Adelson family with its casino billions which has allowed him to dominate the Republican Party.
As my sainted father used to say, Congress is ‘nothing but a bunch of used car salesmen from Biloxi’. I used this quote years ago in a column and got a stern letter of rebuke from the mayor of Biloxi calling me a snotty New Yorker. I guess he was right. We New Yorkers are snobs and almost a separate nationality in America, with closer links to Europe or Latin America than the US Midwest.
Thanks to the electrifying music of southern bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Alman Brothers, I have realized that our much-neglected south is really the beating heart of the United States. Southern boys are the truest Americans. I learned this is the US Army.
But New York City is in deeper trouble than many realize. The Covid epidemic inflicted huge damage on America’s leading city. I was horrified – horrified to learn that all three of the city’s bialy-producing bakeries have closed. Bialys are as much a part of New York City as its tasty egg cream sodas and its police force which seems to outnumber Canada’s total armed forces.
At the heart of this city’s problems is the real estate crisis. Large numbers of office buildings now lie vacant as workers operate from home. All the ancillary businesses – like retail stores, restaurants, mom and pop retailers – are closing because of the decline in real estate. The city’s finances, as always, are a mess, and ever-rising taxes are killing the city’s once vibrant economy. New York is no longer the Eldorado for immigrants (my parents included) that it once was. The Bronx’s Tremont Avenue was called `the Jewish Champs Elysee.’
A lot of prominent New Yorkers are moving to lower tax Florida, once considered the dark side of the moon by snobby New Yorkers. A good third of today’s Floridians are emigree New Yorkers. Republican control of Florida state government has assured that taxes stay low. Democratic-run states must spend vast sums on welfare payments and other social benefits to large numbers of black and Hispanic voters, which means high taxes and rising crime.
New York City is headed that way. I breakfast at my beloved Viand Coffee Shop on E 61st street listening to a cacophony of Greek, Dominican Republic, Honduran and even some occasional English. That’s the ultra-expensive East Side where prices go up weekly. In Queens and Brooklyn one finds the finest ethic restaurants and all the Haitians, Albanians, Iraqis, Bolivians and Russians you could ever want to meet.
New York was the Promised Land for generation of Jews from East Europe. Now, it appears Gaza may be the next one with Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner’s, plans to convert it into another Fort Lauderdale. Provided the New York City developers can find a way to get rid of all those pesky Arabs,
NYC residents have been taking sh!t for a very long time…and apparently liking it.
NYC residents cannot see “the forest for the trees” living under an oppressive jew-run system.
Since the Sullivan Laws were enacted, enabling the most extreme and restrictive limits on the acquisition and uses of firearms, the Constitutional right to defend one’s self and others has been almost totally obliterated. Once restricted to handguns, the laws have been extended to rifles and shotguns, all of (what were supposed to be “registered”) demanding that they either be confiscated or taken out of NYC.
I’ll bet that those people who voluntarily turned in their weapons added to NYC police officers’ gun collections.
NYC prosecutors relish the thought of prosecuting those who legally defend themselves, even a “rolled up newspaper” is considered to be an illegal “weapon”. The honest citizen is the easiest person to charge and convict.
If you defend yourself successfully against a criminal without NYC police being involved, you WILL be prosecuted.
Witness Daniel Penny who is being viciously prosecuted for saving fellow subway passengers from mentally ill Jordan Neely who had been harassing and threatening subway passengers for decades.
You see, the approximately 36,000 NYC police officers do not want to give up their monopoly on the use of force. They cannot have honest citizens “taking the law into their own hands”.
On the other hand, observe the “kid glove treatment” given to the jews who were tunneling under the streets under their synagogues. Despite evidence of child abuse and other crimes, blood-stained child-size mattresses, toddler high-chairs and other child-size items being found, the tunnels are discreetly being “filled in”, destroying criminal evidence in the process. If child abuse and sacrifice were not a part of the equation, seeing jews crawling out from under the NYC streets scurrying like rats makes for top-notch comedy. In NYC, jews are politically powerful and are also a “protected class” and can do no wrong. There will be no investigations…
Nope, NYC is not for me. I will go around it and avoid it like the plague…
New Yorkers and people from Jersey have been moving into Florida since the 1960s, and flooding it since the 1970s to present. “This is how we did it up North” has been heard in Florida at least a billion times since 1980. Florida was phenomenal before the snowbird invasion, well at least the Gulf Coast was, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood has been trash for a long, long time now. Idealistic towns like Clearwater, Winter Haven, Lakeland, Brandon etc., were fantastic as late as the mid 1990’s, now they have been ruined by fleeing Yankees, Browns, Blacks, Ragheads, Dotheads, etc. A popular bumper sticker from back in the day, Welcome To Florida, Now Go Back Home.
Around ten years ago NYC was rated the dirtiest, noisiest, and rudest city in the country – it captured the triple crown!!! Despite being so lowly in the daily-life things that really count, NYC managed to deflect from its triple crown by snooting, nah nah nah nah nah, we’ve got the museums and the opera. This wore thin because people eventually realized that the museum-and-opera folks actually didn’t visit the museums and opera in significant numbers and frequencies. About two years ago, I read of a new deflection – – – Peggy Noonan in the War Street Journal. Peggy wrote that New York has the greatest parks. In the words of critics of string theory in physics, this isn’t even wrong. And besides, I know a moose at Yellowstone who would disagree.
The American South is demoralized Eric.
Those southern boys often have meth and alcohol issues now. They aren’t what they used to be.
The white birthrate dipped below replacement (2.1 children per female) back in 1972. There are less of them. Back in the late 1960s and early 1970s there were less than 1% of white southern kids with drug issues. Now probably 10% or more do.
Covid measures, like suspending rents for several months, led to many small landlords and business owners selling to Real Estate Companies owned by Wall Street, and ultimately the same hedge funds that own those companies. We are closer to “You will own nothing and be happy” because of it. These properties were swooped up at lower prices because nobody knew how long covid and its new mutations would last, remember?
Covid also allowed for masks, and masks allowed Antifa and BLM to not be photographed and prosecuted, and masks/distancing allowed for paper ballots and fraud.
It’s almost like it was all planned out.
I wonder how cheaply the Hedge Funds will get to buy up New York for when its judged to have hit rock bottom?
All those empty office buildings will be converted into 300-square-foot luxury co-ops and condos for the fleeing population of a sunny little land on the shores of the eastern Mediterranean. Those new Noo Yawkahs can get busy making bialys and tasty
egg cream sodas in the vacant ground floor retail spaces.
Anywhere the White man goes the 3rd world shit will try to invade. Also the shit jews had nothing to do with creating New Amsterdam which became New York after the Duke of York took it over from the Dutch. So the jew who is an asiatic had nothing to do and that includes blacks, browns, ragheads, dotheads and the rest with creating any European/Westerns cities or towns, villages, hamlets etc. So all these aliens can go back (it will have to be done with force because these coolies won’t go back voluntarily) to africa and asia. All these 3rd world shits now have lightbulbs, automobiles, radios, TV’s cell phones, computers and thousands of others commodities that they had nothing to do with creating or inventing. And that’s what drove their jealousy and their flooding into the West was the material aspect. Not cultural of which there was almost nothing in common and I mean nothing.
New Yorkers, myself included, are perfectly fine without the guns.
Those guns would enable a massive increase in homicide. If we had more guns around, I’d estimate that we’d have a lot more homicides. If we introduced a million guns into New York, we’d watch the homicide rates shoot up.
Would I be able to defend myself? In some theoretical sense, yes. But without a million guns in New York, there is far less need to defend myself. So why would I want the guns?
Mr. Margolis was a COVID ninny and propagandist for the Establishment and its “admirable Dr. Fauci.” Lies Won’t Stop Covid-19 (April 18, 2020). He’s never owned up to that, and likely never will.
There was a good, long spell when he had dropped to the Archived. But he’s wandered back in from the pasture to pad the Columnist roster and remind flyovers of where he dines until it’s time for his next sojourn to France.
Can’t someone at least proofread his work? The misspellings and other errors are embarrassing.
“New York was the Promised Land for generation of Jews from East Europe. Now, it appears Gaza may be the next one with Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner’s, plans to convert it into another Fort Lauderdale. Provided the New York City developers can find a way to get rid of all those pesky Arabs,”
Dey might move all dem pesky Arabs ta Atlantic City and da Joizy shoir, da real estate dere ain’t payin’ like it usta.
You are dead wrong.
The “bad guys” already have guns.
It’s the “good guys” with the capability to defend their own lives and the lives of others that have been deprived of the right to defend their own lives.
In an armed society, the criminal who is intent on doing harm to others has the legally-armed citizen as an impediment to his “trade”. You see, NOT knowing who is armed within the citizenry causes the criminal to “think twice” as his selected “victim” just may have the means to defend himself against an attack.
The case of Bernie Goetz, the subway rider who thwarted being robbed by dispatching three of his attackers to the “great hereafter”. Subway crimes dropped dramatically after that act. If Goetz had kept his mouth shut, no one would have been the wiser.
You NYC residents have been taking sh!t for a very long time…and apparently liking it.

Witness Daniel Penny who is being viciously prosecuted for saving fellow subway passengers from mentally ill Jordan Neely who had been harassing and threatening subway passengers for decades.
The case of the bodega owner who successfully thwarted a knife attack, his attacker succumbing to his injuries, was under indictment and prosecution until a groundswell of opposition forced the prosecutor to back off on prosecuting him.
What kind of society prosecutes the victim of a crime? It happens in NYC all the time.
You see, the approximately 36,000 NYC police officers do not want to give up their monopoly on the use of force. They cannot have honest citizens “taking the law into their own hands” and providing for their own self-defense.
Your whole premise of disarmament of the citizenry is just wrong.
Margolis talks about the Jew power here like it is a joke.
Would America be better off if a giant tsunami hit the ACELA corridor(East Coast from Washington D.C. to Boston) and the Left Coast( coastal counties of California, Oregon and Washington State), A thought to ponder….
There is a simple answer.
The Western mind is completely and totally dominated by the Jewish Will.
There is no simple solution. The cancer has run so deep that it can no longer be cut out.
The patient must die and be reborn.
Two elections ago Ron DeSantis barely beat (by one-half a percentage point) George Soros and the NY crowd’s candidate, Andrew Gillum, in the election for governor. Gillum was later rescued by Miami police from a hotel room where Gillum was violently vomiting filth from his impossibly degenerate sexual interaction with a white, male prostitute he’d hired. The police reported the bedding was smeared with blood, feces, and other bodily waste. No wonder the Democrats love him.
Nikki Fried from Miami, oy vey, got elected Secretary of Agriculture to head the department with control over issuing gun permits in Florida, but failed to bring gun control to the state. Despite Florida being a heavily agricultural state, Fried had never done an hour’s work on a farm in her life nor knew anything about agricultural issues. The point is, these Democrats from NY, NJ, etc., and Soros money will destroy Florida regardless if it amounts to setting fire to their own house. As Nietzsche pointed out, their sort votes vengeance, not issues, and nobody hates the Southernness of Florida quite like the Nikki Frieds of this world.
Most of the world these days: ‘Can we have both?’
Your wording about “bad guys” and “good guys” reveals something about your psychology. You are not a strategic thinker. More info on that later.
To start the explanation, notice that you are firstly looking at this as a theoretical issue, rather than a real-world issue. In the real world, every action kicks off a chain of reactions. In a theoretical puzzle, you don’t think about long-term consequences, instead, you just give a seemingly-morally valid answer to the puzzle.
You view this like a puzzle: bad guy has gun, what do I do? I need gun.
In the real world, though, issues in society do not start and end within a 2-minute time window. Instead, each action has a butterfly effect. Wise people become masters of predicting how others will react to their actions. If I do X, person does Y. Then, if I do Z, person does A. Etc.
This form of thinking is called “strategic thinking.” So here is the big revelation: strategic thinking is suppressed by so-called “negative emotions”. There are multiple biological processes that contribute to this. And, for people who live with almost constant negative emotions, they typically develop throughout their lives into adults who are very poor at strategic thinking. For people who do not have psych issues, they just get better and better at strategic thinking throughout their life.
So what I am saying is that, if you want to reduce homicide, getting rid of guns is a great strategy.
Maybe the bad guys have guns now. I’ll grant that. It’s not true in NYC, since NYC is full of immigrants, and has much lower homicide rates than other American cities, but I’d grant it for Atlanta.
It’s ok though, because the gun control strategy will win in the end. Because every year, some gun owners will die, and their kids will trash their guns. Every year, gun owners will throw away their guns, or at least forget about them, because they will have such a hard time getting ammo. Especially since ammo would become so expensive (think about how expensive are black-market drugs). Every year, as criminals are caught by police, the government will confiscate and destroy their guns. SInce ammo would be so expensive, and since criminals are usually very poor, many criminals would start to choose to do their crimes without the assistance of guns. They might try knives and shoplifting, like they do in NYC and London. And over 100 years, you would end up with very few guns left in society.
With few guns left in society, you would then see a massive drop in this kind of crime. Sure, criminals can still use knives, but it’s harder to hit-and-run with knives.
This is why the gun-control strategy is such a great strategy for reducing homicide rates. It’s worked for NYC and California, and it will work basically anywhere. Doesn’t work as well with Chicago (and many other American cities) bc it’s easy in Chicago to take a little car ride 20 minutes to the suburbs and be in a place where guns&ammo are aplenty. In New York and California, it’s just hard to do that.
Gillum was with 2 men in the hotel room where he was ODing from a combination of meth, booze, and other various pills found around the room, one of the other guys was also ODing at the same time.

Biloxi is in the Midwest? You are not only a snob, but ignorant of what you probably call “Fly Over Zone!”
Gun control has never worked, but only to enable tyranny.
It is people like you who attempt to perpetuate the old tired premise that taking away guns from law-abiding people will solve all of our problems.
There is nothing theoretical about a “good guy with a gun” stopping a “bad guy with a gun”. In fact, most interactions that result in the display of the use of force by responsible law-abiding individuals are never reported because the criminal is “stopped in his tracks”, prevented from completing the criminal attack by running away.
From a government perspective, an unarmed populace is the most easily controlled. Look at every country that instituted “gun control” (confiscation) and observe the resultant bloodbath.
You remind me of the “star-struck” young people who claim that communism would work, only if it was properly applied. They claim that communism was never properly implemented.
Every generation has its promoters of restricting basic freedoms just because some people would not “behave” themselves.
A gun is merely a “tool” that can be used for good or evil–nothing more. The typical mainstream media stance is that “crime” is caused by the gun itself, calling it “gun crime” (as if the inanimate object is capable of committing a violent act on its own) rather than the person with evil intent who is hell-bent on criminal activity.
A gun is an equalizer, giving a 90 lb. woman the same self-defense capability as a 200 lb. man.
I’ll bet that you live in NYC…
We should outlaw blogs to keep people from saying stupid stuff, lol. You probably believe government is benevolent too. And spoons are responsible for the obesity epidemic. And you mentioning the butterfly effect but not really applying it to your own thinking.
