In just two decades, transsexuals have gone from being perceived as manifestly deluded and mentally ill, to being able to force members of many Western societies to participate in their delusions. As the Irish comedy writer Graham Linenhan has set out in his memoir Tough Crowd: How I Made and Lost a Career in Comedy, people in the UK have lost their jobs or almost been thrown out of university for stating that you can’t change your sex.
Linehan himself has been driven out of the mainstream comedy industry in the UK due to his forthright criticism of the trans movement, teenagers have been sterilised and mutilated, women prisoners sexually assaulted by fellow female inmates with penises, toilets are increasingly unisex, biological men can participate in female sport and even use their changing rooms and anyone who dissents is subject to the wrath of the trans mob and its Woke supporters. Hardly any of his colleagues were brave enough to defend Linehan as he was attacked and many of them joined in with the mob of deluded bullies. How have we reached this level of insanity, where a deluded person can state they have changed sex and this must be accepted?
The answer, in part, is that the gender non-conforming have the precise traits which predict achieving power: They are high in Narcissism and they combine this, as my new study has found, with being highly intelligent. Narcissism is characterised by a sense of entitlement, self-importance, superiority, manipulativeness, callousness and envy. It strongly crosses over with the other “Dark Triad” of Psychopathology (low altruism, high dominance) and Machiavellianism (a desire for power).
To varying to degrees, these are reflections of Neuroticism: feeling negative feelings strongly. When people are plagued by negative feelings the world will seem out of control, so they will want power; high in hatred and anger, they will be psychopathic, and they may deal with low self-worth be creating a false self, where they tell themselves they are superior. In other words, they will create a delusion, which will be all the more convincing if others accept it. Puncture this delusion and you risk “Narcissistic Rage” as the method of containing the negative feelings unleashed by this attack on their false self; the agent of destruction is thus a threat to their ability to cope [see, Breeding the Human Herd: Eugenics, Dysgenics and the Future of the Species, By Edward Dutton, 2023].
Many studies have found that those who attain extremely high status – what we might call geniuses – tend to combine extremely high intelligence with Dark Triad traits. The high intelligence allows them to solve problems and outwit their opponents while the Dark Triad traits make them highly competitive, unscrupulous, brimming with confidence, devious and power-hungry. It is people like this who are able to rise to the very top [see Sent Before Their Time: Genius, Charisma and Being Born Prematurely, By Edward Dutton, 2022].
So what do we find with transsexuals? Transsexuals are especially elevated in Narcissistic Personality Disorder. One study found that 80 per cent of transwomen had a personality disorder, with 57 per cent of those having Narcissistic Personality Disorder [The frequency of personality disorders in patients with gender identity disorder, By A. Meybodi et al., Medical Journal of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 2014]. It may be that Narcissistic males, not caring about the subversion and disgust which transsexuality induces, are more prepared to go ahead with surgery and are less able to keep their paraphilia – their fetish – under control. It has been argued that many display evidence of Narcissistic Rage when others refuse to accept that they are female [Shame and Narcissistic Rage in Autogynephilic Transsexualism, Archives of Sexual Behavior, 2008].
To be clear, most male transsexuals are autogynephilous transsexuals (a minority are homosexual transsexuals, see themselves as female well before adolescence and are highly feminised). They suffer from a fetish, which develops in adolescence, whereby they are sexually aroused by the idea of themselves as a female, something with which they also become obsessed. The development of this and other fetishes is associated with autism. This is because, compared to controls, autistics are highly masculinised and hyper-sexual and feel sensations very strongly, meaning they easily create sexual associations. They are also obsessive, interested in objects over people and they are low in cognitive empathy. They are high in anxiety both due to their hyper-stimulation and problems they encounter due to their lack of social skills. This elevated Neuroticism, as we have seen, can easily lead to the development of Dark Triad traits [see Gender Dysphoria and Transgender Identity Is Associated with Physiological and Psychological Masculinization: A Theoretical Integration of Findings, Supported by Systematic Reviews, By Edward Dutton and Guy Madison, Sexuality Research and Social Policy, 2021]. Accordingly, we can see how this mix leads to transgenderism and they tend to be sexually interested in women even after they have “transitioned.”
But we must add to this their high intelligence. A recent study by me and Emil Kirkegaard, drawing on the large OK Cupid dataset, found that intelligence is associated with being non-binary as well as with unusual forms of sexuality, such as pansexuality [Intelligence is associated with being non-binary and unusual sexuality: Rare sexual orientation, gender non-conformism and intelligence in a large dating sample, By Edward Dutton and Emil Kirkegaard, Psychreg, 2024]. One possible explanation for this is that intelligence is associated with Openness, being open to unusual possibilities, this openness helping you to solve problems. The less intelligent may dismiss thoughts of gender non-conformity as ludicrous but the more intelligent may be more likely to entertain them.
Also, intelligence is associated with social conformity. Intelligent people are better at norm-mapping, forcing themselves, via effortful control, to adopt the dominant world view in order to attain the related social benefits. They will then attain status by competitively signalling their conformity to this world view. In our world of “grievance hierarchy,” being gender non-conforming allows you to attain a degree of status, so we can see why the relatively more intelligent would be attracted to it.
But taking all of this together, we can understand why transsexuality has managed to become so influential, even apart from the fact that Woke activists promote it. Autogynephilous transsexuals are more intelligent and higher in Dark Triad traits – more ruthless and power hungry – than normal people. The response of trans activists when you say this is to claim that the research “risks serious harm to already marginalised groups,” a point made about my own study by transwoman researcher Reubs Walsh [“Masculine” Describes Gender Expressions, Not Neurobiologies: Response to Dutton and Madison (2020),” By Reubs Walsh, Sex Research and Social Policy, 2021]. But this only proves my point. It is a fallacious appeal to consequences and is, therefore, manipulative. It also involves victim-signalling, something associated with Narcissism and especially so-called vulnerable Narcissism, in which such people manipulate others by stressing the degree to which they are victims and need help [Signaling virtuous victimhood as indicators of Dark Triad personalities, By E. Ok et al., Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 2021].
Transgender activists have a delusion which they demand others partake in, with rage being the consequence if they fail to. This is textbook Narcissistic abuse; textbook bullying. And when it is combined with high intelligence, we can begin to understand why they have been so successful in cancelling critics such as Graham Linehan.

Intelligent? Nope, just the upper echelon with brains are able to scream their way into outsized visibility. There’s a high proportion on welfare, drug addled, unemployed, work as prostitutes, have zero intellectual capabilities. There’s ghetto blacks who are trannies and get by through mugging drunken gays. From the vantage point of a past job in social services I can tell you those folks are craaazy. They like to get their way by throwing screaming tantrums and that apparently works for them and if something works don’t be surprised if they keep doing it.
It wasn’t the focus of this article but I think Dutton just helped me unwrap the riddle of transgenders. At least the men pretending to be women. Their autism and the correlated tendencies toward fixation, lack of social skills, and hypersexualization means for lack of being able to attract women they turn their sexual energies back towards themselves. Maybe not a huge revelation to others but I’ve spent very little time even attempting to understand the mechanisms because I choose not to waste focus on those who are obviously and irrecoverably ill.
Building on Dutton’s main point, I would say their sudden out-of-the-blue rise as a social and political force has to have been via being chosen by the malignant social architects for their anticipated ability to generate chaos and disorder within society.
The remaining question I have is whether the spike in autism — produced artificially via manipulation of the pre-natal and post-natal environment … largely contamination of food — was specifically **for** the ability to create transgender chaos or whether it was a convenient side effect for the malign?

Let us not forget that misogyny and homophobia were introduced to the west and promoted by a faith which was itself grounded in the neurotic sexual taboos and fixations of Judaism. It’s hard to picture a more divisive rallying cause – have we forgotten that divide-and-conquer is the most useful survival mechanism of tyranny? I am old enough to remember the first widely publicized sex-change operation. Conservatives fretted over the consequences they feared might ensue, though none visualized that switching genders at will would become faddish. I can’t imagine that transgender fad would exist today if that “remedy” had never been developed. Consider also the role of the eminently corrupt and ever profit-hungry Big Pharma lobby, which manufactures the expensive biochemicals necessary to simulate membership in the desired gender.
The official political opposition party in South Africa is the Democratic Alliance, a Western style libtard party. They are good at things like running municipalities, because they are less corrupt than African style political parties, but strategically they are horrible. They are importing progressive bullshit like gender ideology, so one increasingly finds Western problems in a third world country, as if there is not enough problems.
On a gut-feeling level, it’s aesthetically wrong and ugly, and deceitful, and it’s blatant false advertising, which one is pressured to play along with. I also read somewhere that in shamanistic tribal societies, early miners and smiths disguised themselves in female garb to avoid the risk of the wrath of the earth mother. Removing and processing ore that was removed from the “womb” was thought to be a taboo for men to perform. Guess people have always been weird in some way. In dysfunctional families, if there is a narcissist running the show, this is exactly how they like things: each family member on edge, each one competing against the other, trying to gain favor from the narcissist, lots of fights, lots of backstabbing. With so much in-fighting, there’s never a consensus on who is actually causing the chaos. No one ever looks up. That way the narcissist stays in control, smiling all the way.
I see the elites doing the exact same thing, just on a much larger scale. They want confusion and chaos because that way they maintain control, the country be damned. This article is completely incorrect. IQ is a very superficial way to compare and estimate human intelligence. So doesnt matter the “size” of your IQ if you cant understand reality beyond your personal beliefs and expectations.
Well… while you’re correct in pointing out an obvious problem with Dutton’s hypothesis, it appears that you’re also reinforcing his underlying premise; his narrative frame — that the heavy promotion of transsexualism in recent years by “news” media, government, major corporations, and every other societal power center was simply an organic, grass roots phenomenon which came about due to the inherent characteristics of the (or at least some) members of the transformer community. There are several obvious problems with this approach:
1. Attempting to “explain” change over time by invoking (unchanging) inherent qualities of a particular group is an automatic FAIL. Dutton’s hypothesis might have a degree of face validity if the question were “Why have autogynophiliacs always had high status/ disproportionate power in Western societies?” But if we look at the facts on the ground, that’s clearly not the situation that we are facing, and that he’s (purportedly) addressing. The issue at hand is “Why has the promotion of transsexualism been been the focus of an aggressive, centralized propaganda campaign, and why have those who ‘identify’ as members of the opposite sex been consistently portrayed as high status ‘innocent persecuted victims’ by those in power for the past couple of decades?” Dutton’s supposed “explanation” is entirely orthogonal to this issue.
2. Dutton’s narrative is focused entirely on male transvestites and (to a lesser degree) feminized male homosexuals. Propaganda campaigns promoting this sort of behavior are nothing new, dating back at least to Weimar Germany:

A little more recently, Richard Raskind (AKA “”Renée Richards”) was the focus of an extensive pro-transsexualism media campaign in the 1970s. For example, this 1976 piece on Raskind from the Gray Yenta.
But surely Dutton is aware that one of the most notable effects of the more recent oligarch-sponsored propaganda campaign promoting so-called “transgenderism” has been a massive increase in the number of girls who, faced with the stresses of adolescence, decide that they’re “male souls born in a female body” — and a corresponding increase in the eagerness of the establishment to “treat” those girls with cross-sex hormones, elective mastectomies, genital mutilation surgery, etc. So why does he ignore this obvious aspect of the current propaganda campaign? Is it really ignorance, or tunnel vision… or mendacity?
Dutton also ignores 3 decades of centralized promotion of the long-discredited “gender” trope, which serves two functions in this top-down campaign of sex denialism:
1. A layer of obfuscatory pilpul (what neo-Bolsheviks and social “scientists” call “mystification”), enabling the promotion of sex denialism at a higher level of abstraction, making for a more vague and slippery/ less falsifiable narrative.
2. An attempt to deconstruct/ make meaningless the straightforward concept of biological sex — hardly surprising coming from a privileged group of culture destroyers. See also “critical theory.”
This insistence by oligarchs and their minions on the consistent use of particular terms when addressing certain issues is often dismissed as “political correctness” — but it works. The more abstract the concept, the more the specifics of the language used shape the narrative. Here’s an piece in the “conservative” New York Post that is ostensibly reporting on a court ruling in Texas that which helped to promote transsexualism, but the article actually serves to further reify the term “gender-confirming care” as a euphemism for subjecting children to chemical castration, cross sex hormones, genital mutilation surgery, etc. Very “conservative.”
The broader agenda is one of absolute narrative control: “Who ya gonna believe, our narrative — or your lyin’ eyes?” Narrative control at a societal level is analogous to to neuroparasitism at an individual level. Comment #5 is correct.
The words ‘Transgender’ and ‘Intelligence’, appearing within the same sentence, automatically become an oxymoron due to the immense difference between the definitions of both words.
No way in hell are ‘transgender’ humans in possession of one ounce of intelligence, therefore, all words emanating from their mouths are the result of a tiny, uneducated brain and a sick mind..!
Human beings with such a condition, should become the inmates or patients of the institutions which supply much needed ‘care’, therefore, they should never be permitted to contact the public.

I concur with the intelligent scheme of examining the correlations that occur in as many datasets as possible, conceiving with the broadest outline the possibilities and being scrupulous about narrowing them down through proper analysis. This includes in examining any phenomena. And why not with the issue of transsexualisms and transsexualists? There are profound alterations in cultural and social norms, so intelligent people, so good at “norm-mapping” should examine them. It just so happens that they tend to do so on the motivation of conforming to them… and as we can see, this might not be a good idea in terms of character development and creating a self-made soul with a coherent worldview and a properly informed one! Although as the comedians that just experienced cancel culture and the Operation Covid assault can attest, if your crowd has already gone south due to these influences, you better charm their socks off or change your set. The most crudely Machiavellian of them would probably prefer to do both (Bill Burr, for instance, or Conan O’Brian, many such cases).
I don’t think that it is so much a matter of the underlying condition determining the outcome of a cognitive frame on such simple lines when it comes to autistic syndromes, which really stand out as a fundamental form of schizotypal social-aversion due to fundamental traumata during developmental years amplifying outsized distortions in cognition, emotion, and entire-body effects in terms of glandular and peripheral nervous system maladaptations. But it is not the case that the higher intelligence found sometimes in these spectra of adaptive compensations to trauma, which are sometimes maladaptive overall or even down to details, should lead toward norm-mapping of ego-behavior to fit in. Rather, the opposite. And not only that, it would tend to be biased toward “what works” according to a non-social conforming approach anyway. So intelligent, autistic spectrum types would tend to despise such trendy developments that mask themselves rather thinly as “the way things are now” when they are blared from the soapboxes as being “the New Normal”. It is also a slight to the intelligence, especially higher intelligence, that these are social engineering schemes when they blatantly are.
Unconventional warfare works in unconventional ways. Wrap your mind around and see if you don’t agree.
You fools who thought you were brave, fighting for “rights” didn’t understand that the world had tried those remedies before, seen the results and stepped back in terror. You make some good points to be sure. For me it boils down to this- why the obsession with transgenderism now? Transgender/crossdressers et al have been around for a long time, but it wasn’t promoted as it is now, so what gives? Maybe you have answered this when you said –

The answer to this promotion for many on the right seems to be to not only work to stop it being promoted to children combined with removing any parental input(I fully agree) but they also want to just go after all transgender people. I have been seeing more and more people who claim to be ‘trans’ in one fashion or another also coming out against this over-the-top promotion. Should we go after them as well? Would that even be practical? Seems to me to be a recipe for yet more divide-and-c0nquer conflict. For me personally, I honestly find homosexuality to be repulsive, but then again why wouldn’t I, I’m a straight male, so I have come to the conclusion long ago that I need not trouble gays because that’s them and their choice.
