Don’t kid yourself. Any country that has ever arrested and imprisoned people for political reasons treats them worse than any kiddie rapist. The fact that this article was even written paints a bleak image of the future. As more and more thoughts and words are deemed criminal, the prison population will have a greater proportion of non-violent political dissidents. There are stories from the Soviet Union about cultured bureaucrats who fell out of favor with the Party and were sent to the gulag, and these people often fared poorly alongside career criminals. In America, smart cities might replace the gulag, because people could be tracked at all times and their ability to buy or sell anything would be dependent on their obedience.

When the Reagan sentencing policy came down we all smelled a rat. The crime rate automatically dropped around 1980 because the US population was aging — this is basic demographic statistical reality. So why the big push to fill cells?

Contrast this with the case of Kevin Clinesmith, the FBI lawyer who was convicted of felony alterations of a FISA application for surveillance of Carter Page, who had worked closely with the CIA in his interactions with Russians. Clinesmith, in a blatant case of forgery, changed the evidence (no support to the CIA) allowing monitoring of not just Carter Page but his “two step” contacts– Trump political allies and supporters.

Clinesmith served no time in jail, and while disbarred for two years in his native state of Michigan, he “agreed” to a one year suspension of his attorney license in DC (June 28, 2021). Instead, the DC bar restored Clinesmith to “active member” “in good standing” in September 2021.

This now passes for American justice. Clinesmith commits felonies with impunity, as he is a DC Hero of the Resistance, while Biden’s political opponents are convicted of thought crimes, supposedly protected by the First Amendment.

Thanks for the grim and terrifying snapshot. At my age, I think I’ll do myself in before going through that hell… or perhaps try to plea for a minimum-security stint, even if it meant a longer stay.

I can add a couple of points from an acquaintance who spent a year in the LA County jail before being acquitted for a legitimate drug trafficking charge which his top-notch lawyer managed to demolish by uncovering some corruption on the part of the primary law enforcement agency involved.

1. Wear some type of sandals to in the shower room. My acquaintance caught a particularly virulent case of athlete’s foot which couldn’t be treated by standard protocols.

2. Don’t give food, cigarettes or anything away to anyone for free. If you do, you’ll be expected to continue doing so.

I served many years as staff in federal prisons including all security levels and institutions with special missions. The article is accurate. Also:

1. White collars: Give up your management habits. You don’t run anything anymore. Shut up and keep to yourself your ideas about how the institution could be run better if only staff would listen to you. You will only irritate staff and bring pressure to bear on all inmates — and you will be identified as the cause and suffer for it. Stop, look and listen for the first year. If you have to say something, find a 20- or 30-year inmate and ask his opinion. Only when a group of experienced inmates agree, then approach staff respectfully with plenty credibility behind all of you. Above all, learn and work within policy.

2. Train your family. Tell them to stop calling in and irritating staff. They’re already overloaded with work. Tell them to never call in with demands about someone’s rights nor threaten with litigation or a congressional. Staff who follow policy have strong legal standing. Don’t let family destroy your positive relations with staff by creating the appearance that you are drama queens. Stay calm. Speak quietly. Log everything. Gain respect by handling your own business. Instead, become a rock for your worried and scared family.

3. Avoid shots (incident reports) for insolence and other foolishness. Your points will rise and, instead of working your way down to lower security and an easier life, you will be transferred to higher security and a lot more misery. Also be alert to inmates who will set you up to get shots. Work with people. Be respectful. Be courteous. Keep your word. Everyone respects that.

4. Go to worship service and Bible class every week and build your community there. God, prayer, and the brotherhood of clean men (and staff) who seek the Light will get you through this. Gangs will give you space if you sincerely seek the Lord and walk it every day. Rarely will they attend worship and study class lest they spontaneously combust. You will suffer ridicule if you contradict your faith with bad conduct, and we all stumble at times, yet if you become known as a man or woman of God you will gain more respect than you imagine — and others will seek you as an anchor for themselves. Read a lot of Scripture and be willing to encourage others without being preachy. Pray for everyone.

5. Give up your social media habit of posting every last thing. You don’t need to know everything about everyone. If you learn something, don’t talk about it. Remember it but shut up and mind your own business. Walk quietly, respectfully, and build that network of good people across ALL religious and racial boundaries, including staff.

6. All phone calls, email, and hard mail are monitored by staff. Be your best self even when you think you are in private. Don’t lose your credibility over a thoughtless word or expression. Speak well of everyone.

7. Use the time to improve yourself. Read God’s Word, intensify your prayer, work out, create ways to continue your education any way you can even if it is a trade.

8. Log incidents early, especially when your gut tells you the matter will become serious.

9. Help the weak who need your strength. Befriend the lonely. Win the respect of everyone. And God will bless and deliver you.

It’s almost as if drugs are purposely brought into America by CIA and portions of other agencies to help undermine stable, happy families and those families’ natural accumulation of intergenerational wealth through inheritance*, while at the same time giving corporations that own prisons, legions of lawyers, contractors that build new prisons, the rehabilitation “industry” with its legions of employees, and plenty of other government workers (judges, courtroom workers, probation officers, and social workers) gainful employment.

*There is no telling how much farmland has been transferred to agribusiness because a young man in a farming family got into meth and couldn’t handle the farm when it was his turn for health reasons, being broke from legal expenses, or being in prison when his dad passed away and had to sell…..cheap. Furthermore one druggie in your family who can’t handle it and becomes an addict and not a “Friday night drug-user”, will need to be bailed out several times, will need help with lawyers repeatedly (about 5K for each time), and commissary for years (an extra hundred a month at least), and stuff for their rehab stints. This drains the entire family that keeps helping him financially make a new start, leaving less to bequeath to their own kid when they pass away. It’s an impediment to a family building intergenerational wealth like wealthy families have.

The concept of the modern penitentiary came from the Quakers, with the rationale being that locking criminals away would lead them to repent of the crimes. Its primary purpose was not intended to be punishment or to scare people under the threaten of incarceration, but to rehabilitate the criminal.

Back when penitentiaries were devised, the sentencing of criminals always involved an injury. The prefix in- is a negation of jur-, which means law, so an injured party would make claims against the accused that the law had been broken. If the court ruled in the injured party’s favor, a sentence was imposed on the guilty party, so as to avoid a blood feud and vigilante justice.

The difference between then and now, and the reason for America’s burgeoning prison population, is that crimes today often lack an injury or an injured party. People are sentenced for procedural crimes, in which the state feigns having suffered an injury.

In these situations, the law hadn’t been broken, but a rule had been broken that was legislated into existence. Without the requirement of an injured party, every person, at all times, is under threat of arrest and incarceration, because there is no limit to how the state can argue that a legislated rule has been broken. Add to this the crushing costs of personal defense in court, and we can see that regular citizens are fodder to be chewed up and spit out by the legal system

Until my health intervened, I worked as an attorney as an extra gig on a class action lawsuit against a Department of Corrections for three years – reviewing hundreds of thousands of incident and investigative reports from about 100 prisons.

Your article is excellent. Many times on this site, I rang the alarm bell to advise my fellow intellectual seekers that fleeing the USA would be better than landing in a US prison.

While common back in the day, it’s been largely eradicated through PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) and current prison culture.

Sadly, this is far from true.

PREA has just become a poster they put on the walls with a phone number which is torn down within hours. PREA “investigators” are overwhelmingly black females. Affirmative action hires who have low IQs and buckets of entitlement.

They are illiterate, hateful blobs of stinking weaves and stupidity who could not investigate a bubble gum heist- let alone a sexual assault. Save one or two out of thousands, the white DOC staff are just as disgusting and sadistic as their black coworkers. There is no one to enforce PREA.

Rape is the standard tool of the blacks against white inmates. White inmates are currency to black inmates.

These are the top sexual attacks I have read about- thousand of times:

1. Calling white inmate’s family members and stating their son/husband/grandson will be raped if $500 in not placed on their commissary

2. After paying the ransom, still raping the white inmates and forcing the inmate to call their family back to ask for more money or the rape will continue

3. Holding white inmates hostage and allowing a train of fellow blacks, OR opposing gang members, usually Bloods, Crips or Black Disciples, to rape the white inmates as “payment.” I have read about rectums that are so disfigured and destroyed that inmates had to be LIFE FLIGHTED out- if they were lucky enough that another inmate banged on the main door for 12 hours hoping a guard would com.

It would be helpful here to explain the lay out so you understand the true horror of being in an US prison.

Imagine a school gym. There is a main door. Inside the ‘block”- there are hundreds of bunk beds with letters and number. Inmates, against policy, hang sheets around the beds for “privacy”. In the back are the wet rooms- toilets and showers. The camera here never work. Remember the main locked door? This is the only way out. Guard are sitting outside. However, these are predominantly black guards. They are sitting in a cubicle, talking, eating, sleeping.

There are cameras in the block. Most don’t work. The guards are supposed to watching the video feeds that do work- but they don’t. Both white and black guards ignore the surveillance videos.

Inmates are taken in the back- to the wet rooms- where they are raped- both orally and anally. I had read reports where the black inmates will interrupt a man who is using the bathroom – #2- and rape them- right there.

Black inmates will reach around and masturbate the white inmate while they are raping them anally.

The only hope a white inmate has is that a decent inmate, and I have seen blacks inmates help other inmates – usually older- run to the main door and bang on the doors….FOR HOURS..and beg the guards to open the door and stop the rape.

Remember- the guards can see them. They all know something is going down in the back. Why don’t they get up?

Because they are lazy disgusting creeps who should be executed. They are there to collect a check and that’s all. I have read reports of a young man being beaten for 6 hours- he died- and there were 6 guards outside the main door- cutting up, laughing, eating and getting paid….BY US.

You know how students gather around a fight in middle school? They do the same of the mouth of the wet room. I have reviewed the videos. The guards can see them watching…they know it’s not a hopscotch tournament.

US prisons outsource food services, phone, internet, healthcare, commissary, and pretty much everything else to private corporations.

In Texas, before the “liberal” prison reforms (late 50’s early 60’s), prisoners worked on the extensive prison system farm lands. For scale, it was many hundreds, thousands, of acres of farmlands owned by the system. Prisoners farmed and grew food, which then went to the public schools, thus affording school lunches at low subsidized prices. The subsidy was the almost free prisoner farm labor. Prisoners also made public goods, like stamping out license plates.

In other words, poisoners didn’t sit around on their asses, watching Teeevee, they worked. Idle hands are the devils workshop.

How much did the Texas system cost? Almost zero dollars were transferred from the taxpayer to the prison system, as most of the prison system lands were originally a land grant. Of course, all of that has since been privatized, and turned into rental incomes for prison corporations. The lands were sold off in the first round of privatizations.

Trustees were snitches and were eyes for the boss man. The boss man struck fear in the general population as the trustees could be anybody. The trustees would get early-outs for their good behavior. In other words, the prison population sourced its own labor to create a hierarchy, and hence you didn’t need as many prison guards.

Of course the population prior to 1969 was 89% white, so there was not as much racial strife then. Blacks could be more easily segregated, especially since they are more prone to spontaneous violence.

All I can say is, THANKS JEWS! Your finance capitalism, and profit-for-me-and-not-thee, makes you the mensch. The greedy privateers who wanted prison reform included the goyim farming class, who wanted to profit by selling their produce into the school system. Behind the farmers were the real movers and shakers, the (((finance class))) who wanted to profit by attaching debts to the newly privatized lands.

There was a book written about the Texas system, and I can no longer find it. My knowledge is from old timers who were involved in it, and their knowledge is passing into the memory hole, as if this history never existed.

You’re off by a decade and a half, and the reason crime went down in the 90s had more to do with long sentences for crack possession than demographics. Murders in NYC increased from 1,826 in 1980 to 2,245 in 1990. Crime didn’t start to seriously go down until the Giuliani-Pataki team started arresting, then imprisoning the arrested in high numbers. In the 80s in NYC, I knew people who were being mugged in midtown in the middle of the day.

The crime problem in America is the negro. He commits crime at a rate 4 times his percent of the population. Without severe consequences, the negro will commit more and more crime, doing a year or two in the joint isn’t a problem for him, he gets to hang with his homies for a while. Only keeping him locked up for a very long time prevents him from committing more crime. It’s in his nature. Of course, the White criminal class also deserves long prison sentences (as well as the Hispanic), but without the negro, most of the US would be virtually crime free.

You can prevent political prosecutions and still lock away the real criminals. It isn’t necessary to lock up political prisoners and removing incompetent judges and prosecutors would prevent this. Look at the race of most of the judges in the Trump political cases, oh yes, our burden, the negro again. See the pattern?

First time I thought about it was after reading Gordon Liddy’s book. His experience was to fight it out as necessary, and never show weakness. And stay armed… how almost anything could be used as a weapon, with a bit of creativity.

Interestingly, his primary scorn was not toward his fellow inmates, but the prison staff and administration. Along with what he considered the ridiculous social policy of ‘rehabilitation’. In an interview Liddy wrote:

While I do not condone the use of certain (illegal) drugs, it is not my place to demand that others follow my recommendations. What you choose to put in your body is your own business. If your actions affect others, there are remedies. Keep in mind that a government that can prevent you from putting substances into your own body can require you to ingest substances that they deem necessary. Witness the “push” for covid poison “jabs” that were not only recommended, but coerced at the behest of government.
In my previous post, I stated that the CIA is the world’s largest drug dealer.
It’s the “little guy” who gets “busted” and ground up by the system.
Of course, there are those who claim that (illegal) drug use burdens the system, but I beg to differ.

Excellent article. For persons wishing to learn how the USA’s “legal system” operates, I advise that you read a couple of Gerry Spence’s books – “With Justice For None” and “Give Me Liberty!”

Upon reading the first book mentioned, the reader will find out that the “law” in the USA is whatever any particular judge decides what it is, depending on his mood and general disposition. The judge can impose his own ruling, finding the defendant either innocent or guilty; can overturn a jury’s ruling on sentencing and fines, etc. In other words, THE JUDGE IS THE LAW. It matters not what legal “precedents” have been established before; the judge can ignore any or all of them.

For those of you who are not familiar with Mr. Spence, he was one of the attorneys in the Karen Silkwood trial and also the Ruby Ridge trial.

If someone (i.e., politicians, or the people who bribe them) can tell you what substances you can or can’t put into your own body, then it follows that those people OWN you. You’re their property — their slave. Are you okay with that? Because I am not.

That alone is reason enough to reject drug laws. Other reasons include the fact that drug prohibition doesn’t work any better than alcohol prohibition did, and it has similar negative effects on society.

For example, do you know why fentanyl became such a major problem in the US, causing a huge increase in deadly overdoses? Because it’s much more potent than heroin and thus easier to smuggle. If heroin were legal, fentanyl would be much less of an issue, if an issue at all. It’s just like the way gangsters during the 1920s would much rather smuggle hard liquor rather than beer. The more potent the drug, the more economical it is to smuggle, which means that drug laws tend to increase the potency of drugs over time.

Let’s also not forget that a huge percentage of violent crime is due to drug prohibition, just as gangsters used to have shootouts over alcohol smuggling “rights” during the 1920s. How many gangsters fight over alcohol today?

Think increasing penalties for dealing drugs is the answer? Nope. It just increases the price of the drugs due to the risk premium dealers can charge. Dealers already live in fear of death from rival gangs. The huge black market profits they earn from their drug business makes the risk well worth it to them.

I don’t use any drugs other than daily caffeine and the occasional drink. I believe even most legal drugs are bad news, let alone anything bought on the street. But drug laws are a form of tyranny, and they do more harm than good. Drug abuse should be considered a medical problem, just like alcoholism — NOT a criminal matter.

(By the way, alcohol is a more dangerous drug than marijuana in every single way. Do you ever drink?)

In a moral world none of those nefarious things could happen or in a society with responsible rulers would not permit it and absent that a world body would step in to correct the situation by putting leaders of the guilty nation on trial with real life consequences for them. I lost count of days and it turned into a warrant, went my myself to court thinking it would be forgiven with a lecture, but no, the judge saw my long shoulder length hair and decided to punish me for riding my three speed pedal bike on the wrong side of the street. I spent fives days in jail waiting to be booked as they brought in bus loads of blacks from Watts summer festival. On the forth day I told the cell block sheriff I was a minor, he looked into it and a few hours later I was rebooked as a juvenile and transferred to old county jail that’s used for prisoners who are on or awaiting court proceedings.

Upon entering, cells 1 thru 6 called Highpower, and after passing another security door, cells 7 they 12 were reserved for minors to better watch over them I assumed.

In cell number 5 was Charles Manson who was n trail for his cult murders, he would pass Pall Mall cigarettes to minors through the bars. Every morning they would empty his cell and check for whatever. My cellmate was in for armed robbery, when he ask what I was in for , I said “ticket for riding my bike on the wrong side of the street”, he thought I was being sarcastic and was about to beat the crap out of me when I hastily said, drug possession, that was the only thing came to me, and saved my ass a kicking.

When they finally released me, the bastards let out with no bus money and thirty miles from home. Hows that for justice when you land in jail next to Charles Manson for riding your bike on the wrong side of the street?

There were other encounters with thugs with badges and guns, but I leave it at that.

I had the misfortune of spending two days in county jail last year. It was a minor charge with very minor sentencing but even so it was deeply traumatic and messed up my life seriously for many months. Besides the danger to life and limb, prison entails endless financial harassment unpayable fees extortion and unreasonable demands from a system that is completely devoid of compassion. If you’re in bed with pneumonia and miss a court date you’re subject to rearrest suspension of probation privileges etc.

This is an excellent book about a college professor who went into politics in St Louis and was convicted of a minor campaign financing charge. It describes the perils he faced in a very dangerous prison for only one year of time served:

I do think most people, even some criminals and LEOs, give zealots and crazies a wider berth.

All in all a fairly spot-on assessment of this country’s current prison culture. I come by my basis for reference through having spent nearly 10 months this year working as a CO in both a quite large state prison in Ohio as well as a postage stamp-sized county jail in New Hampshire.
A few points of order-
1) In both Ohio and New Hampshire(at least in the institutions where I worked) sex offenders, even chomos, are no longer targeted for the harsh retribution which used to be exacted from them. Lip service scorn is still paid by the rank-and-file inmates, but no one really cares that much anymore.
2) Money is all that matters in prison and jail. Prison gangs in Ohio have largely abandoned any pretense of organization along racial or even regional lines. All that qualifies anyone to attain lofty positions of comfort and influence within the gang is their propensity for raking in the dough. Doesn’t matter how. Everyone is fair game for the grift.
3) Everyone is a junkie. From the gang leader to the lowliest of torpedoes, everyone is strung-out. The blocks are veritably saturated in garbage intoxicants. In Ohio, inmates scrape up the residue left behind by the vermin exterminators, dry it out, and smoke it. It’s called “toon” and it causes extremely undesirable side-effects such as the compulsion to run around naked as the user feels as if they are burning alive.
4) The COs despise all inmates. Universally. The only sympathetic CO an inmate will encounter is the very corrupt kind who joined the force specifically to enrich themselves via muleing in contraband.
5) The number one killer in lock-up comes from the boredom. It’s just plain tedious, the repetition of each day’s events. As an inmate, you will seek any and all opportunities to experience something outside of the prescribed routine, if only for a few scant seconds. This is what is the root cause behind much of the violence. Someone starting some shit with someone they ought not to just to have something different to do that day.
6) There’s a hell of a lot more consensual gay sex going on than this article’s author claims. In Ohio, when supposedly “hardcore” gang leaders were sent to the hole, and their possessions were packed up and placed in storage, if their papers were searched through adroitly enough, one was usually bound to find love letters written from their “homeboys.” Most dudes doing any kind of time will turn into a straight fag for the duration of their stay. They are just super select and secretive about their dalliances.

I suppose I could go on. It’s a fascinating world, really. But, truly, one to be avoided at all costs. Prison sucks. Death is a preferable fate.

My first time was in the great state of Mississippi. I agree with you completely. I read Gary Webb’s book, “Dark Alliance” and it was a real eye-opener. Gary was most likely “suicided” by the powers that be, along with Michael Ruppert. Michael Ruppert was a former L.A.P.D. narcotics detective, who attended a Los Angeles town hall meeting, the “guest of honor” being John Deutch, who was the head honcho of the CIA. Ruppert held up a manila envelope in the air, shook it at Deutch and said that the envelope contained PROOF of the CIA’s drug dealings. Upon saying that, the attendees (mostly black) went wild, as they had every right to do.

As a side note, some years ago, I was arrested for “trespassing” – I was sitting on a bench in front of a man-made lake, which had signs proclaiming that the area was private property. The time was around 6:00 AM and a guy who lived in a house came stomping down to where I was sitting and informed me that I was trespassing. I told him to call the police.

A few minutes after I had got home, a Winnebago County (Illinois) sheriff’s deputy visited me and gave me a citation for trespassing, a court appearance being MANDATORY. I retained the services of a lawyer, a nice-looking female, by the way, and she obtained aerial photographs which showed the bench to be on county property. After looking at the photograph, the judge threw out the case.

Incidentally, while I was in the court room, waiting for my case to be called, I noticed an older couple, who were dressed in their Sunday best. I was in my 60s at the time and they were much older than me. I asked myself what the Hell THEY were in there for? I did not bother to stay and find out.

I take your point about the redundancy of hate crime laws. A dead man is dead, so murdering him because you hate his race, religion, or whatnot should still get you the chair just the same as you murdering him for his wallet.

However, it is long standing Anglo American common law to take intent into account. While a dead man is dead, it makes a difference, for instance, whether you MEANT to kill him. That’s the difference between murder and manslaughter. And even if you meant to kill him, it (depending on the state) often makes a difference whether you got in a spontaneous brawl when your mother was crudely insulted, versus whether you are a hitman with no personal interest in your target and who lay in wait as part of a calculated plan — that’s the difference between second and first degree.

There are laws against inciting riots, especially after the speaker is warned by the authorities to stop (the old “reading the Riot Act”). Telling white cops they are “genocidal crackers who will get yours soon” in a pamphlet is one thing; yelling it while at the head of an unruly mob surrounding the police station is something else.

Deliberate offenses against public order, and domestic tranquility, and the peace of mind of the general public, matter; preventing or punishing them are arguably the most important task of the state, at least as far as internal security.

Terrorism is designed and intended specifically to disrupt such things. A Communist or Muslim gang burning a church to intimidate Christians should arguably be treated differently than a gang of teenage yahoos just playing with matches for kicks – even though the physical result of a burned church is the same. Malice matters. So, arguably, malice extending to an entire group does as well.

What I especially agree with you on “hate crimes”, of course, is about their biased enforcement, especially when that bias is against us, at least to the extent this is publicly reported. From what I recall, for instance, blacks commit a disproportionate share of “hate crimes” but this is not part of the narrative.

Torts is a name given to injuries recognized by the common law from which recovery in damages can be sought BY INDIVIDUALS through the judicial system.

The “lake” that I was sitting in front of had houses situated around it; the homeowners were members of this neighborhood group that had legal access to the lake. The guy who came and informed me that I was trespassing lived in this large house, complete with a 5-car garage and his Corvette.

I disagree. There are several methods our freedom and democracy could be restored, quickly or slowly.

1) The military, or a powerful contingent of same, could remember their oath to protect the US from domestic enemies of the constitution.

2) A strong constitutional personality might end up in the presidency (by some accident). Trump should have instructed Treasury to stop paying the FBI, and ordered the military to move on the deepstate.

3) The FBI regions could arrest headquarters.

4) All federal political campaigns could be universally financed by taxpayers. A different (non begging) personality would enter politics.

5) Big regional law schools could be asked to start the review of the legal quality of nearby court rulings. Focusing on judges against whom complaints have been lodged of ignorance of the law, illogical reasoning, rulings depending on sophistry (Talmudic pilpul, Jesuitical reasoning, fair game strategies, etc. ), nonjudicial temperament, inability to set aside personal wishes in legal rulings, etc. Plus an investigation of lawfare.

6) The electoral system could be converted to a transparent verifiable alternative.

State governors have jurisdiction over state prisons. Formally, technically Although in practice they don’t concern themselves.

American presidents have jurisdicione over federal prisons. It’s absolutely wrong to blame presidents for conditions in state prisons city and county jails where the majority of prisoners are.

And presidents are only technically formally in charge of federal prisons for 4 to 8 years. Not long enough to change anything.

In today’s America, and in many other parts of the world, the process is the punishment. Selective prosecution is a major problem in this country. BLM and Antifa types who have committed crimes are ignored while innocents who defend themselves (but are of the wrong political persuasion) are charged with crimes.
Being charged with a crime, the indictment, the arraignment and trial are all a part of the punishment. Even if the case is dismissed, the damage, the difficult days, the threat of fines, incarceration and legal bills, and the uncertainty of what comes next are all punishments.
Observe those who were arrested after the January 6, 2020 demonstrations—those who were purposely let in to the capitol by FBI types and then arrested, days, weeks, and months after the event.
Those who are presently incarcerated in the D. C. gulag for the January 6, demonstrations are “special cases”–”political prisoners” who have been identified by their political enemies and prison staff and have been selected for “special treatment”.
Even if their cases are dismissed, the damage has already been done. The time served, the harassment and brutality can never be “taken back”.
This also extends to the likes of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is clearly observed on video defending his own life against rioters, who was “put through the legal wringer”–once again, the process being the punishment. Thankfully, he was acquitted by a competently-run legal system (in his case).
The St. Louis couple who were charged with “brandishing weapons” against the BLM and Antifa criminals who broke down a barrier and were trespassing on private property is but another example of selective prosecution. They were indicted on “weapons charges” for merely defending themselves.
My third and final example of this is the “Satilla Three” who are languishing in prison for defending their lives and neighborhood against Ahmad Arbery, a career criminal who was “casing” construction sites for materials and tools that he could steal. In this case, the “powers that be” went “prosecutor shopping” when the initial prosecutor refused to indict. It took “four tries” before they found a prosecutor who would indict.
It turns out that Arbery was not being “chased”, but had “doubled back” and threatened the man with the shotgun, pulling on it causing it to fire. You see, Arbery had felt “disrespected”, and in his feral, simian way had to confront the man who had “disrespected” him. Arbery could have run off in any direction, but chose to confront the man with the shotgun. This was a clear case of self-defense, having been video taped as well. The trial was a fiasco, with a weak, incompetent judge, civil-rights hustlers and Arbery family members in the courtroom threatening riots if the “correct” verdict was not rendered. Requests for a change of venue and a sequestered jury were denied. Evidence showing Arbery’s previous criminal activity in the Satilla Shores neighborhood was also suppressed. It would seem that, with all of the legal and procedural misconduct, these three men should have good grounds for a successful appeal.
Once again, the process is the punishment…something democRATs have been using to their advantage.

I agree with everything you have said EXCEPT for the abolishment or modification of the electoral college system.
The electoral college is an “equalizer”, which dilutes the power of the largest population centers, forcing the candidates to appeal to ALL states, not just the most populated ones.
If the “popular vote” was the determining factor in presidential elections, all the candidates would have to do is campaign in two or three of the largest states (New York and California) and could safely ignore the rest without consequences.
The problem is not the “electoral college”, but the “two party system” itself. There should be multiple major political parties, not just two.
A prime example of the direct “popular vote” skewing election results is that of gubernatorial elections in the “several states”. Potential gubernatorial candidates always politic in the large population centers, ignoring the rural areas as all they have to do is gain enough votes in the population centers to get elected.
Here in the state of Michigan, the legislature is composed of a largely reliably Republican majority. However, the governor’s office is usually filled by a democRAT.
The states should adopt the electoral college system on a county-by-county basis. It would be interesting to see the results of gubernatorial elections if all of Michigan’s 83 counties were properly represented.

The only thing I know about prison is from various Youtube channels by fellow prisoners at the state and federal level. Concerning homosexual rape it seems to be much less of an issue these days. The ex cons say that if that’s what a person is looking for you can find it but if that’s not your thing you shouldn’t have a problem for the most part.

Others says that violence does occur but not nearly as often as TV shows and movies depict. They say prison is for the most part is very boring. A person should be ready to defend themself as other accounts say you will get tested at some point during your sentence.

About 20yrs ago there was a special about prisons and one story had a white guy who entered prison and the first thing he did was attack a large black inmate. The black inmate knocked out several of his teeth but he said other inmates did not harass him because he was crazy/brave enough to attack the toughest black inmate in the prison.

I agree with your position whole-heartedly. I didn’t become a Corrections Officer out of any sense of calling to that profession. I was simply curious. I have no children and very little debt so I enjoy the privilege of working here I see fit for as long as I see fit. 10 months behind the walls was enough for me. Yes I did two days in county jail last year over a ridiculous charge that ended up being dismissed; but not before I endured considerable hassle and trauma. I gave away my meals for those two days to two white trash gangsters who said they’d have my back. And they did. And I kept to the rancid jail water. That brief stay showed me all I needed to know about America’s prison system. And the following couple of months with the criminal injustice system ditto.

Firstly: I am no longer a CO. It wasn’t a work environment conducive to good health. When I first entertained the idea of working at one of Ohio’s largest and most dangerous state prisons, I thought I might actually be “one of the good ones.” Which, to a certain degree I in fact was, but only in the sense of my not consciously contributing to the perpetuation of human rights abuses which are a regular feature of prison.
The fact is, there is very little an individual CO can do about the overall culture within the walls. If the place is run well by the administration, than the CO can go in there, do their job, and go home with some degree of satisfaction that all is as well as it is going to be. If the place is run like a diseased hellhole, than the CO has the choice to either go in there, do the job and go home not giving a crap about all that they see, hear and sense, or they can quit. I chose to quit. First in Ohio, and then in New Hampshire. And not because I’m some committed human rights advocate. I’m not. I’m nothing but a man. However, the environment will inexorably sour and embitter you. Inmates all start to look, sound, smell and act alike. You begin to loathe being in their presence. You quickly lose the interest in, let alone the ability to being able to differentiate between the innocent, the guilty or the truly remorseful. So many hustling-ass inmates are constantly working on your threshold for compromise to get you to “do them a solid” via some good old fashioned rules bending(for dumb shit like letting them out of their cell when it’s not their dayroom to grab the shower they missed because they were at class or to go and get some ice from the ice machine and on and on and on) that it wears down on your basic humanity. When a truly contrite and humble human being asks for a similar bit of leeway, you just reject it out of hand. There seems to be no way that admin will ever figure out how to separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak and allow the varying degree of personalities do their time in a setting with their behavioral coevals. They just throw everyone into the mix together and let the horrorshow run unabated.
For my part, I took the security aspect of my job seriously. I paid attention to the known wolves and was on the lookout for any signs that they were preying upon the weaker willed inmates. But I didn’t swoop in whenever I suspected some funny business. The aggrieved party HAS to make some sort of overture for assistance FIRST. Which is difficult for them to do without drawing all that unwanted attention to themselves, but that’s just the way it is. I asked a few guys real discreet like whether or not they were okay when I identified signs of violence having been committed against them. They all denied it, as is their want and prerogative.
I’m not sure what the answer is. A lot of people are in prison who could be doing something healthier with themselves. I myself narrowly avoided doing serious time as a younger man for having committed a crime of true severity. I spent over 30 days in a Parrish prison in Louisiana. It was the wake-up call I needed and I cleaned up my act as soon as I rolled out of there.
Not every cop and CO is a complete and total piece of shit. I would even surmise most are not. But plenty are. The PIC draws sociopaths to its environs, just as day care centers and hospitals and the military and elder care and any other industry does where there exists large swaths of vulnerable people ripe for the exploiting. Prisons also hold lots of people who cannot be trusted to roam our society. Americans are an insanely vicious and violent lot. Then whole teeming nation of us. What the hell makes us that way? What the hell is ever going to correct those tendencies? I suggest a break-up of the union into several, if not dozens of smaller nations. Allow for some self-segregation. Keep up good trade relations with each other. Let the nations experiment with varying degrees of social constructs, i.e some more leftist, some more conservative, some more satanic, some more gay as hell, etc. See what works in the end. Short of that, we’re pretty much screwed.
I hope that makes my position a little clearer.
I am not in favor of how our prisons are run. But then again, no one ever asked me for my opinion while I was in there, either as an inmate or a CO.

In truth I find myself embracing an ideology without any society to accompany it. Once at an Evangelical Church somewhere in America someone told me “we would have appreciated you more staying in Israel as a Jew helping to promote our end times Christian Zionist project than to come over here convert and pretend to be one of us.” You probably would agree with that from your racialist perspective, but it’s definitely not part of standard Christian ideology.

Often I wonder if I was a fool to have drunk the Christian kool-aid. It’s quite clear to me that the American Evangelical community practically idolizes macho warrior Israelis, the more atheistic the better because they make better killers. But they even prefer Orthodox Jews who live in Israel to a Jews for Jesus type person who tries to become part of their Church community.

I live in Colorado and the Christian community here leaves me cold. Either they’re totally entwined with Christian Zionism or they just feel culturally completely alien to me. I no longer attend any church. I don’t have an identity or an affiliation anymore. I’ve always been identified as a Jew by any church that I’ve tried to be part of. It could be that Christian missionaries are terribly destructive and dangerous people and maybe they deserve the hatred of the non-Christian world. I think that the Catholic cyhurch is the closest thing Christendom has ever come to a truly global pan- racial and ethnic church. But it’s failing on every front. The Catholic Church is strongest in Latin America and Italy where it enjoys cultural homogeneity. But it ran into trouble across the globe when it came up against localized nationalistic and racialistic movements that couldn’t find a full expression within Catholicism.

Jewish people in Spain learned that they would not be accepted as Catholic converts. Jews in Nazi Germany learned the same thing that if they converted to Lutheranism they would not be accepted. Jews are consistently rejected on racialist grounds in defiance of whatever religious ideology they profess. Russia might be the most tolerant country in the world today to Jewish people. But again Putin seems to respect them more if they stay within Chabad than if they try to become Russian Orthodox.

When I was baptized in the year 2000 while I was living in Israel, my hope was that Jesus would allow Israel to become fully integrated into the community of nations and the humanity of man. But unfortunately the American Church uses Israel as a Christian crusader state and doesn’t really care about its religious identity. I admit to being completely lost when it comes to religion. I have dabbled with the idea of Christianity, but I am quite certain it, along with Islam and Judaism are just fronts for the cabal of the true Masters Of The Universe. I don’t possess anything in the way of unique evidence to support this worldview. It just makes more sense to me than the story of Jesus.
I just don’t know what to make of anything. At all. We live in perverse times. The only thing I actively pine for is a real, honest, blood-drawing conflict to participate in. With a properly-identified adversary to decency, of course, not just some fellow citizen having a bad day.

But the facts of human evolution, both behavioural- genetic and cultural are fundamental to forming any ideas of the way the human world should be because they are fundamental to understanding the messy phenomena of human nature. And that matters because, if we are ever to establish morality that allows mankind to flourish as physically secure happy people with intellects functioning to continue the advance of all the sciences which have undoubtedly contributed to what almost everyone would agree is a better world or many better aspects of the world we are going to need to make sure that mankind striluggles through to a common acceptance of value premises that doesn’t allow e.g. Christians to be killed for blaspheming a legendary Prophet.

I don’t have the same gloom about Australia as some here seem to have about America. Born during the Enlightenment I have hopes of Australia being a country of modern post Enlihhtenment people which eill not benefit from faith or religion.
