Could Western Civilization be preserved in Eastern Europe just as Roman Civilization was once preserved in Byzantium, which is (almost) Eastern Europe? Considering that Eastern Europe is so much poorer than Western Europe and many of the nations there seem to have a lower average IQ and higher levels of corruption, than countries such as the UK, the question may seem bizarre. But my own recent research, combined with other emerging data, is leading me to think that the question is increasingly reasonable.
I’ve written a lot in recent years about how the West, like the Roman Empire, is likely to collapse due, in part, to dysgenic breeding among Whites: Intelligence is strongly genetic, it’s behind every aspect of civilization and there is a negative association, especially among women, between intelligence and fertility, such that we are losing about 1 IQ point per decade for genetic reasons. Imperial Rome clearly witnessed a negative relationship between socioeconomic status – a strong proxy for intelligence – and fertility and, likewise, went into decline. It also witnessed immigration from the periphery of the Empire, where conditions were often easier, so historical selection for intelligence wouldn’t have been as intense. Either way, as my colleagues and I set out in our study “Intelligence Trends in Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of Roman Polygenic Scores,” we know that Roman intelligence went into decline during the Late Republic for genetic reasons.
There are a number of reasons why we might expect intelligence in parts of Eastern Europe to eventually exceed that of much of Western Europe. Firstly, they industrialized later which would have mean they moved into dysgenic fertility later, as living conditions improved later. Secondly, studies indicating they have lower IQ will at least in part reflect the fact that they are poorer and have worse education systems, mindful of the fact that about 20% of IQ differences relate to the presence of an intellectually stimulating environment. As they become wealthier, having been economically retarded by Communism, we would expect to see a so-called Flynn Effect; an increase in IQ for environmental reasons. Thirdly, there is far less Third World immigration into these countries. Third World immigration will negatively impact the IQ even of the native population because it will worsen the education system (due to poor immigrant behaviour) and render the general environment less intellectually stimulating for everybody. Likewise, if you bring increasingly stupid people into a university, you render the general environment less intellectually stimulating for everybody and so people are pushed to their phenotypic maximum intelligence to a lesser extent. In other words, you create a Flynn Effect in reverse. It should also be remembered that parts of Eastern Europe — such as Estonia, Hungary or Slovenia — had about the same average IQ as the UK (British IQ is the Greenwich Mean, always set at 100) — even in the immediate wake of Communism, when data could be collected.
In my study “Changes in Cognitive Capital in Eastern and Western Europe: Some Implications from School Assessment Studies,” I drew upon three international student assessments that are accepted to be excellent proxies for IQ tests and for which we have large samples from each country: PISA, TIMMS and PIRLS, based on the results between 1995 and 2019. When the lower school and economic standards were taken into account, ex-Communist countries displayed significantly stronger growth scores on the PISA tests, which are robustly associated with IQ. In other words, Eastern Europe is rapidly catching up with Western Europe in terms of their students’ performances in Mathematics, Science and Verbal Reasoning. It is probable that part of the reason is that Western countries are declining, relative to Eastern European countries, due to the effects of dysgenics and due to the effects of low IQ immigration.
The change is consistent with related trends that have recently emerged. The UK’s ITV News reported on 12th March 2025 that the UK’s poorest households were now poorer than the poorest households in Slovenia. Slovenia is one of the wealthiest countries in the old Communist Bloc and was the first to be economically robust enough to be allowed to adopt the Euro. If we judge a nation’s success and development level by the living standards of its poorest people (which is probably a good way to do so, as massive economic disparities are associated with developing countries), then, in effect, this means that Slovenia, a Second World Nation, has caught up with and overtaken Britain.
On the same day, the Daily Telegraph reported that parts of the UK are now worse off than the poorest parts of Lithuania and they are considerably worse off than Finland, which, a century ago, was poorer than the Baltic States. Finland now has the wealthiest “poor people” in Europe. However, parts of Birmingham and Northeast England are poorer than the poorest parts of Lithuania. As “Stella” quipped on X: “Import the Third World, Become the Second World.” This makes sense in terms of Birmingham. But the other area of England that was poorer than the poorest parts of Lithuania was the Northeast, which is overwhelmingly White. This would be more consistent with the consequences of dysgenic breeding among Whites combined with intelligent people from that region tending to migrate to the more prosperous south.
At this rate, British people may start moving to the more prosperous Eastern Europe, just as educated people in the chaotic Western Empire once moved to Byzantium. I predicted that this would happen in my 2022 book The Past is a Future Country where I discussed the idea of a Neo-Byzantium, but I didn’t think I’d start to see the signs of it only three years later. The West, or, at least, Western Europe, seems to be collapsing at a shockingly fast rate.

As long as the “leaders” of the E.U. are allowed to fail up, together with being controlled by bribery and blackmail, then this problem will persist. Feminism and immigration= the death knell of the white world. Many examples to choose from. When I was in school we came and went as we pleased, now there are police officers in and around every school. My graduating class of 775 students there was one girl pregnant. Now there are daycare centers in every high school, a complete reversal of norms. If these girls were married and starting a family with a sober and employed husband then I would say ok. However, these girls are all single and expecting the government to provide all of their needs. Throw porn and drugs into the mix and you have a society collapsing. As sociologists have noted, the richer a society becomes eventually the least among them are doing all the breeding. This never ends well. God forbid you don’t want to be called a “racist” and stop funding illegitamate births. The western world is collapsing because of ignorance, greed, and a lack of cohesion. The sad part is that this collapse is being caused by powers behind closed doors who aren’t subject to the ballot box. Those of us old enough to remember the white world as it was will go to our graves with a heavy heart knowing that our children and grandchildren will not have the same life as we had. A free, healthy and prosperous society. Were there problems, of course, but on balance the western world was a pretty nice fucking place to be born and grow up in. They can punish us with lawfare, but they’ll never change what is in our hearts.
Timely and helpful perspective here. Yes, eastern & southeastern Europe may indeed be the redoubt of the European white man, whilst much of Western & Northern Europe goes into a troubled night of multi-cultural cuckery.
Whereas Western & Northern European males often internalise the cuckery, speaking as if they really believe the lefty bullshite, the Eastern or Balkan etc European man remains quietly trad in his heart, and suspicious of prevailing elite agendas. Least vaxed part of Europe for example. Being personally familiar with Roma / Romani (the ‘gypsies’) who never assimilated in 1000 years, East Europeans are overall not tempted by the multi-culti migration siren song.
You see proof of the difference, in how much of eastern Europe is currently under aggressive de-stabilation attacks by the globohomo-Soros type libshite lefty upheaval machine:
– Romania where libshite judges just cancelled the candidacy of the presidential candidate supported by the majority
– Serbia with huge demonstrations in the street now
– Hungary with demonstrations also now
– Slovakia with some of the same, recent assassination attempt wounding the rightoid prime minister Fico
– Poland, facing open threats to neutralise the May presidential election there, where the runoff may end up between the far-right who might well win over the libcuck party man
– Belarus under colour revolution attack
– Ukraine and Russia, manipulated into a tragic war killing off largely trad males who in fact were very much like one another
There are interesting pockets of trad sentiment in Western Europe, the right-wing Flanders that may secede from Belgium by 2030, some of Italy. But it is the Eastern and Balkan man who remains quietly resistant to the glomohomo wave, and is under ongoing fire for that fact.

Under the influence of the Russians 1945-92 the E Europeans were left culturally healthier than the western part which came under American influence and are now decadent. That was unfortunate for them since America itself has no culture to offer except some crass commercialism. More than half of Americans read at or below that of what’s expected for a twelve year old, media shows are propaganda and cultural trash, not much to impart to anyone else. It has dragged down W Europe with its multi-cultural ideological gibberish. It might be too late, the damage has been done.

Lots of us were taken in by what seemed to be a reasonable idea, the idea that one must be critical of one’s society because otherwise big problems in it will remain hidden. And I have to admit that being critical is fun! Being critical of the powers-that-be makes one feel morally superior and wiser than those people who refuse to see big problems in their own culture. And it’s fun to say that one is “speaking truth to power,” especially in our society where “power” isn’t going to do anything to punish those saying it.
It wasn’t until it hit me that what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander that I realized the whole movement was deeply flawed. The critics themselves have big problems that are hidden from them, because they are never self-critical. To give just one example, the critics go on and on about the crippling effects of the legacy of slavery, while completely ignoring the fact that in certain countries of North Africa there is still actual slavery.
To say all of this differently: to be smart isn’t the same as being wise.
And its called hubris, too much pride, but as far as iq for taking convid poison theraputics , many of us purebloods, and there iare way more of us than admitted to, feel we passed the iq test that convid scam actually was.
Most of us did not fall for the scooby doo of Whuhan lab leak either , knowing as we do that this was Chapel Hill or Ft Dietrich ie DARPA who released the flu, that faked the pandemic start, probably starting with the vaping disease reports the summer prior.
Keep in mind the point of origin was never found , ie patient zero, and Europes reports of infection were all on the same days for three or four Countries , mathematically impossible of course.
Omicron which anagrams to moronic was proven to be older than the alpha strain, and all of the scamdemic was actually the original sars from 2003, thats why they dropped novel and put 2 in the tiltle of the rebranded flu.
If Euros countries culture cannot survive this, maybe that cultures time has come. There is not so much an Euro culture as there are unique subcultures that were united by their Faith.
A return to that faith may increase now that the problem is being admitted to, are the disciples of today made of the same stuff as our Christians legends of old, the men and women of
reknown!
Most of those trad males fighting on Russias side in the Ukraine are Czechens or other Central Asian garbage. if they are ethnically Russian, they are freed prisoners (murderers) who were given a second chance if they participate in the war.

The dumbing down has many reasons, from genetic replacement by the current organized immigration-invasion to food (sugar), “medicine” (covid fakevax is the best example) to pollution of all kinds (including what they spray in our skies since years) and of course the debility and addiction to electronic and digital devices, social media, smartphones and soon Ai.
The studies cited here mention that the cognitive fall is partly due to the overuse of the tools the tech-billionaires and their sponsors (Pentagon, CIA, etc…) have created to distract, enslave, surveil and brainwash the populaces.
Who else than the jews have a vested interest at debilitating and idiotic mixed races instead of strong, homogeneous White European people?
We know the PROBLEM, we know who they control and why, what is missing is not 1 point of IQ but 100 points of balls in the former “west”.
It’s not so much being duped as it is being brainwashed. How many holocaust movies, TV shows and books have we been exposed to? During the 1970’s there was the black slave melodrama TV mini-series “Roots” which started the whole White guilt nonsense that the Jews are still pushing today. As far back as the early 1950’s one smart Catholic priest named Fr. Charles Coughlin observed, “Having a TV in your home is like having a rabbi in your living room.”
Well, when I was a kid I watched a lot of good TV. I don’t understand why a lot of you think everything on television is “Guilt tripping” entertainment. I grew up watching stuff like Legends of the Hidden Temple, The Wonder Years, and movies such as American Graffiti, Back To the Future II, etc. I didn’t recognize or encounter any propaganda in that stuff.
Every once in awhile I’d watch something on Comedy Central like Dave Antell Insomniac, Wild on E! on the E channel, Howard Stern because I found all of it entertaining. There use to be some damn good entertainment to look at in the early 90s and early 2000s if you can get over the whole “They are just trying to brainwash us and dehumanize us” attitude about everything on television, because I certainly don’t recall every single show or commercial being used to dehumanize whites nearly as bad as it is now.
Same thing with movies unless you count shit like White Men Can’t Jump, or that other movie Money Train where Harris portrayed the same dumbass white guy who makes garbage decisions about money that put him at odds either with a woman or getting his ass kicked and needing the Tough aka Wesley Snipes to always come to his aid and help him. Snipes was always portraying the level headed guy in both films making better judgment while Harris was the shown as the dumb one making foolish choices. Yes those movies did outright humiliate white men and spit in their faces.
I can admit that some stuff on TV was brainwashing, but when I was growing up a lot of it was easy as hell to ignore. Almost every black show had at least one or two episodes on it about “Racism.” That I was aware of. Like Family Matters there was that episode where Laura was mad and bitter because they only have Black History month once a month at school, and she wanted it to be a full time curriculum. Then whines that it’s not fair to her dad who then encourages her to do something about it.
But then this pisses off some white students who are not shown, so when Laura goes to her locker she finds a note on it that says “If you want black history month, go back to Africa.” Then Steve takes it balls it up and throws it in the trash. Laura slams her locker door and the words “Nigger” is written on it in big ass letters. They censored it out on TBS but I remember that episode with it uncensored. I was a kid back then so I didn’t really pay any attention. Then the episode came on again when I was at the age where I’d notice things I paid no attention to before as a kid.
Then there was that other episode where Eddy comes home telling his dad a white cop threw him down cuffed him, told him to shut up because he was black in a white neighborhood which the white cop does admit to “I arrested him because he’s a BLACK GUY!”. Carl then gets into a fight with the white cop over it and totally humiliates him in a coffee/diner in front of a lot of whites, yeah all those shows had some dumb shit like that in them to dehumanize whites even back then.
Intelligence is not a shield for mass brainwashing and conditioning. In fact, it might even be just the opposite.
There’s also a potential ebb and flow of high-IQ and high-motivation migration. Countries such as Latvia lost about a third of their population within very few years, those being vacuumed up by the economies of Western Europe.
As life in the Western half gets increasingly annoying and precarious, and life in the Eastern half settles into a functional imitation of “1990s West on TV”, there is a flowback taking place, which could accelerate.
Also young misfits from the West settling in the East is also a thing.
And the sad part is he/she/it does it for free.
The West hasn’t had a clean out of the top of the tree for quite a while, in Britain its being centuries.
The British give an image of polite courteous and civilized people. This is a mask, once you take the leash off they turn into some of the most blood thirsty dogs of war there are.
My father was British and he told me the British loved war. You look at who ruled Britain since 1066 and how they roamed Europe ruling large parts of it through the ages, the Normans are psychopaths and their genes are still causing big problems throughout the world, I suspect most serial killers have Norman genes, look at Henry the Eighth, a serial killing psychopath if ever there was one.
Until Europe remove these people from high places for good they will continue to take us to war.

The West has it in spades.
Europeans, both East and West, in the past kind of prided themselves as being culturally superior to the Americans (although acknowledging that the Americans were richer) who were regarded, as you said, as crassly commercial and also war-mongering. This slavish obedience to American values and culture is something that developed over the past twenty years or so.
I, for one, am a bit perplexed why this happened. That is, American media was always a dominant player in Western Europe after the war but that fact did not stop men like De Gaulle from pursuing independent policies which the Americans did not like whereas European leaders, both political and cultural, now are in a competition to show off themselves as being more culturally American (eagerly adopting commercialism and war-mongering among other things) than even the Americans themselves.
Perhaps it is that American commercialism and other such cultural values bring about so many benefits in terms of becoming a part of the world elite (taking part in conferences, being interviewed on 24 hour news channels, getting your name in the NY Times) that any Europeans hoping to become part of the elite class know they must play the game of becoming Americans heart and soul.
When we older folks were growing up, the countries behind the Iron Curtain were (not unfairly) slammed in the West as despotic. Now, as Edward Dutton notes, they are increasingly a safe room for whites who refuse to be demonized and discriminated against in the former “free world.”
History is often tinctured with irony.
Balkans will outlast any collapse, that will happen. Also Balkans do not tolerate any “emigration” of 3rd. world countries.
Funny, how no one cares about Balkans. But know, when western high society is at brink of collapse. Everybody is looking at Balkan.
Europeans brought it on themselves.They indulged too much with devastating results. Finally, they are having a test what they have been imposing on much of the world, war, chaos, poverty and miserly. East European and not much better. In fact Eastern Blocks are far more backward, racist and corrupt than Westerners..
