They post some maps showing that Palestinians can return to most of their original lands without having to uproot the colonial jews too much. So there is enough room for everybody! As a former Israeli, I deeply appreciate Miko’s passion and activism. I was part of the ultra-Orthodox community for 18 years and then converted to Christianity. I disagree with Miko that you can separate Judaism from Zionism. Judaism’s entire raison d’etre and aspiration is to rebuild the Jerusalem Temple in a Jewish state in Palestine. Jews pray for this three times a day. This is the entire focal point. Christianity does not depend on a particular City or Holy Land but Judaism does. The Orthodox dissenters from Zionism are viewed as freaks and outliers while 95% of Orthodox Jews completely support the Zionist project. So in my view Miko needs to take the next step and reject Judaism as well as Zionism. Unfortunately the Christian Zionist cult in the new religion I have embraced is also a terrible problem and I believe bears significant responsibility for the atrocities against the Palestinians. So there are no easy answers.

Trump’s plan of a “Class F” (as in “F troop”, and old TV show) may succeed in eliminating the bad players, but that does not make Federal deadwood and the breakdown of command structure into functioning organizations. Trump might end up as Khrushchev did, a reforming leader that found himself trying to kick a dead and rotting whale back to life, or even as Gorbachev did in the USSR, with reforms stressing a dysfunctional government into a dissolving government, rather like trying to repair very old garments with new patches.

For that matter, Obama (if he wins) may also end up similarly, although the details would be different, involving loss of NATO and collapse of US international credit.

The above failure may not happen. One can see a Trump administration followed by a DeSantis administration, with Trump doing the heavy lifting and DeSantis fixing up all the loose ends.
