How much of the legendary 19th century U.S. rail system survives? A very small portion. What a waste!

In Tokyo, the tram lines were to an extent replaced by the underground railways, I am not old enough to remember where the trams ran, but know where most of the lines, now run by buses, used to run. A few ran in places where there are no roads. The signs are clear. Also, I research it. Most of the bus depots visibly used to be tram depots, lately, for a naive observer, the signs of that have been hidden.

I enjoyed having a car when I needed it, driving is fun, but the destruction of rail was a conspiracy.

The reason they are losing is their weapons systems are no good for what they are fighting. Tech has changed. When they take armored personnel carriers or tanks in, they are killed by RPG’s. Since they don’t want casualties, they can’t send in enough personal to do the job, and they don’t have enough, because they will be killed. And artillery and fighter jets while good at destroying the buildings and killing civilians will not win the war either. And even if they did level everything in WWI one million shells alone were fired by the Germans at the French Army in the first day at the 1916 battle of Verdun, France, they still didn’t kill everyone off that was dug in and couldn’t take the ground. That they are now going into the west bank and firing up trouble there, it boggles the mind. Like they don’t have enough problems already. Maybe they think they will draw in the US, but I do not see the US doing enough there to get them out of this predicament.

I said that the Ukrainian coup was to make a place for the Jews to go after Hezbollah kicked their ass.
