Reuters:

Pope Francis urged Catholic priests on Sunday to guard against spiritual groups that stoke political divisions, speaking during a one-day visit to Corsica, the first by a pontiff to the French Mediterranean island.

At a conference on religion in the Mediterranean region, the pontiff warned against varieties of spirituality that “seek self-aggrandisement by fuelling polemics, narrow-mindedness, divisions and exclusivist attitudes”.

“The Church’s pastors (are) called to be vigilant, to exercise discernment and to be constantly attentive to (these) popular forms of religiosity,” the pope said.

Francis, making his third and probably last foreign trip of 2024, did not name any specific religious groups.

What could he be talking about?

He’s talking about “conservative Catholics” AKA “Christians.”

The Pope himself is not a Christian, but rather a virulent homosexual. He is satanic, and his goal is to destroy Christendom, which is why he is condemning unnamed “spiritual groups” that would be “narrow-minded” and “stoke divisions” with their “exclusivist attitudes.”

He is pushing a gay agenda and he is demanding that priests find and target anyone opposed to it as a hatefilled bigot.

  1. Just to be technically correct, Bergoglio is an Antipope wedged in to push out that now deceased nice German Catholic boy.

  2. Religious leaders have always been complicit in the worst political crimes, from ancient times to the current genocide in the Middle East.

This reminds us that the Bible contains many stories of political crimes that were attempted to be justified under the pretext of a divine mandate.

And history tells us of the cases of the Holy Inquisition or the War of the Reformation, both crimes justified under religious pretexts but which in reality were part of the struggle for power.

And as always and by tradition, in current conflicts religion supports the wrong cause and never reminds its faithful criminals that the useless Divine Commandment of “Thou Shalt Not Kill” is still in force.

The Pope will love CorSUCKa and is probably there with many homo priests and catamites who will revel in the entire experience.

Just to be technically correct, an anti-pope is never a validly elected Pope. They are men somehow standing in against the pope. If the Catholic Church says a Pope is a Pope, that’s the end of the discussion. That nice German boy wrote a letter saying he voluntarily retired due to a frailty that was obvious to anyone who looked. Pope Benedict also I believe took an (unnecessary) vow of obedience to Pope Francis.

If you are not Catholic, don’t the let Pope sit rent free in your head. It’s just sound advice about any leader that is not yours.

Or if it can’t be helped, become a sincere Catholic to genuinely stop worrying about the Pope. God has this, we don’t need to fret about it.

The role of Papa Francis is to guard the truths of the Catholic Church and save souls as head Shepard. It is not to make a religion of political differences. Politics as religion is the current public religion of the US. Unsurprisingly, he’s discouraging it as distracting from God. Politics are temporal. Eternal is a tad bit longer.

There is a large amount of scholarship that states that the wording used by Pope Benedict XVI shows that he was under duress and not actually retiring. It makes for interesting reading. You can find some of it at lifesitenews.com.

A large group of scholars, sometimes called Sedevacantists, make the argument that no pope has been validly elected since at least the 1950s. Interesting stuff for those interested.

    Speaking of Jesus:

‘Pope can’t rewrite Bible – Jesus was a Jew from Judea, not Palestinian,’ Christian leader says
    By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
    December 12, 2024

“The Pope’s inauguration of a nativity scene that showed baby Jesus cradled in a Palestinian keffiyeh is an affront to Jesus, the Bible, and the 80% of Christians who have fled Bethlehem since the Palestinian Authority took over the city,” President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, Laurie Cardoza-Moore said on Wednesday.

“Let’s be clear. The Pope can’t rewrite the Bible – Jesus was a Jew from Judea, not a Palestinian. He was born to a Jewish mother in Bethlehem, in Judea – there was no Palestine,”

Proclaiming Justice to The Nations is an organization “that educates, advocates, and moves to activate Christians, Jews and all people of conscience in building a global community of action and prayer in support of Israel and the Jewish people,” according to its website.

There is always a “large amount of scholarship” for positions that are against the faith.

I know all about lifesitenews.com. As a rule of thumb, if an article is about the Catholic faith, rather than about abortion, it’s not truthful. From my POV it’s main purpose is to collect outrage money out of largely Boomer conservative Catholics. Roe v. Wade collapsed on them as national rallying point. So unfortunately the Vatican is the next unifying topic. Grifting at it’s finest, while separating people from the faith. If that’s your “scholarly source”, I highly recommend looking up actual scholarly sources. They exist and they don’t read anything like Lifesitenews.

Common sense tells us to go with the obvious about a now deceased Pope. The right hand man of Pope John Paul the II was already elderly and ill when he took office. It became apparent (at least to him) that someone else would be needed, with gifts more suited to the modern papacy. He volunteered to retire and an Italian in at the time robust health was found to take his place, through a normal election process. Pope Benedict died several years later, with no particular issue inside the Church. (The Internet Anglosphere is not the whole world.) Pope Francis is reasonably popular outside the US and it’s very toxic media/social media. Comical movie plots masquerading as scholarship aside, Pope Francis would be pope now anyway.

“A large group of scholars, sometimes called Sedevacantists, make the argument that no pope has been validly elected since at least the 1950s. Interesting stuff for those interested.

*grin* I’ve talked with many such “scholars” online. We call them Protestants in different setting. This topic is not strictly academic in nature. Even with a valiant attempt to take it entirely strictly on academics, sedevaticanist arguments are a largely combination of losing the forest for the trees and wishful thinking. However, this is not just an argument about flat earth, which is a pretty close cousin in terms of topic. As a point of faith in God/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit, the faithful are to trust in the Church and her official/formal processes. Even atheists can point to where the current head of the Catholic Church sits and who he is. It’s hard to image how much faith exists in person who can’t seem to find a Pope that supposedly doesn’t exist when CNN can.

There’s your problem. 🙂 If the Pope is getting flack from a Jewish organization, he’s right on target. I supposed they would want the nativity with big old star of David on it.

Jesus is not a Jew, but the New Adam.

  13. This pope appointed a gay Cardinal named Victor Manuel Fernandez to the Curia. This gay Cardinal is also the author of the book “Heal Me with Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing.” The pope’s most recent book “Life: My Story Through History” states that in any relationship between two humans (gays included) Jesus is present. In the past few months this moron has said “All religions lead to God” “Diversity of our religious identities is a gift from God” and my personal favorite “Jesus forgave Judas.” This year at the World Children Day festivities in Rome the Vatican had a ‘drag queen” entertainer for the kiddies. Good luck Catholics.

This present pope, Bergoglio, is drifting into heresy. If tomorrow he says priestesses are okay or that homosexual “marriage” is actually allowed in the Bible, do we have to go along with it? In my view, he’s dying to go the way of the Anglicans and say everything goes. Inch by inch. Much of my family left the Faith after the sex scandals, if he, or the next Bishop of Rome, takes the step into homosexuality, I’d say it’s all over. After all these years, I suddenly find myself getting sympathetic toward that German monk (or at least Bishop Lefebvre). My grandparents would be aghast.

Rabbi Bergoglio was, at first and still is, very intent (with his likely successor Cardinal Mario Grech) to finish destroying not only the Holy Church but the Faith and Moral Life–what else would a bought-and-paid-for “rabbi” do? A clear analysis traces the beginning of the Hebrew takeover of the Holy See centuries back to the Medici Family, who gave birth to the Talmudic Monster:

    https://www.academia.edu/76372363/To_Sevastopol_With_Love

Note that to view the article, simply SCROLL DOWN; no sign-in is necessary.

The Catholic Theology was ruined long before the Medici’s by the none other than the Scholastic Monster–Thomas Aquinas. Doctor Angelicus was indeed a Destroyer of Worlds; his perverse casuistries, especially his Eucharistic Theology, set up a system of Idolatry–the “externalization of God”–which is seen in every “eucharistic procession” worldwide.

Hegel (d. 1831) was fully competent to criticize the Scholastic Monster for his elicitation of Idolatry in the Eucharist and in his incisive ‘Lectures on Religion’ (3 vols.) did so at length–with the Catholic Trail of Public Corruption that Idolatry entails fully in view by his time.

No Catholic country within Thomism’s orbit can evade the rough road of corruption. Furthermore, Orthodox Christianity embraces the same false “transubstantiation” even without using the word and with the Externalization of God in the Eucharist likewise falls into corruption of public life.

Now Unz.Com readers can comprehend why Paris and Moscow are equally corrupt; how New Jersey and Illinois vie for rank in endless perdition (three Illinois ex-governors were imprisoned for corruption within the same period, if we call correctly). Think of Chris Christie and wince!

  17. @Rich

And after homosexuality it will be abortion. Earlier this year the pope described a fetus by saying “It’s a living thing, I’m not saying it’s a person, but it is a living thing.”

This gay Cardinal is also the author of the book “Heal Me with Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing.”

How do you know he is gay? Sources, please.

He did write that book and one might say that as a celibate priest this is not a subject he should be an authority on – fair enough. But I skimmed the text and I didn’t find anything objectionable or “gay”. See for yourself, you can read it here:

  19. G. Poulin says:

Whatever the pope does or says, no matter how evil or untrue, there will always be Catholics lining up to defend the indefensible — it’s called “cult thinking”. They have been led to believe that there is a divine promise guaranteeing that the institutional structure of the Church will never lead them astray. In fact there is no such promise, and in fact they are being led into another religion altogether right now. Catholics need to stop acting like members of some third-rate cult, and to grow a brain and learn how to use it, lest they cease to be Christians at all.

    Matthew 28:16-20:
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

889 In order to preserve the Church in the purity of the faith handed on by the apostles, Christ who is the Truth willed to confer on her a share in his own infallibility. By a “supernatural sense of faith” the People of God, under the guidance of the Church’s living Magisterium, “unfailingly adheres to this faith.”

890 The mission of the Magisterium is linked to the definitive nature of the covenant established by God with his people in Christ. It is this Magisterium’s task to preserve God’s people from deviations and defections and to guarantee them the objective possibility of professing the true faith without error. […]

“Just to be technically correct, an anti-pope is never a validly elected Pope.”

This is not accurate. An anti-Pope is typically elected by a papal election that is irregular in some manner. Often times it was thought that the anti-Pope was a true Pope until the true Pope becomes triumphant against the pretender.

A wonderful example of this is Anacletus II who was elected by an election in Rome, but as a Jew was not lawful to be Pope. Read about him in “The Plot Against the Pope”.
