My theory is 100 pullups in a single set is the bench mark for ‘strong’

To have the goal of doing 100 pull-ups in a single set is insanely unrealistic, and far beyond the benchmark number required for being considered strong. Seriously, I doubt many men on earth can do 100 pull-ups in a row.

For years I’ve done 120 pull-ups, but in eleven sets: a single first set of 20 and then ten sets of 10 after that. This is considered to be very good, Navy Seal-level good. But doing 100 pull-ups in a row, no way. The most I ever did was 29, and that was over thirty years ago in Kapiolani Park, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
