This book was originally published in 1947. One of the writers of the Forward was also a priest who had married a former nun. I was at school with their kids. These priests were Jesuits.

US has ZERO chance to win a war with Russia and or China.

To colonize and conquer a big country like Russia or China requires an army of 20 million for Russia and 40 million for China, but then Russia / China will meet you in battle with a force 2 – 3 times the size and you will lose. There’s no way the US and Europe can muster a conventional army of 20 million and there’s no way the South Koreas / Taiwanese / Japanese / Philippines can muster an army of 40 million. Most will not want to invade China and Russia and will most likely start a civil war in their homeland rather than march into battle.

The US can only colonize and conquer tiny, 3rd world countries like Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. and weaken and destroy them and then go home, safe and sound when the going gest rough.

That’s why wars with Russia and China are proxy wars where the US requires foreign minions to do most of the fighting and dying while the US sits at home laughing all the way to the bank.
