Turns out, Pelosi was only going to Taiwan for the beaches. When she realized there were beaches in Indonesia, she changed her plans. This had nothing to do with menacing China with claims of US sovereignty over parts of China. Jeez. Let a bitch take a dip.
Turns out, Pelosi was only going to Taiwan for the beaches. When she realized there were beaches in Indonesia, she changed her plans. This had nothing to do with menacing China with claims of US sovereignty over parts of China. Jeez. Let a bitch take a dip.

This should really be published as an update to the China article I already published before this statement was released, but this morning I spent 5 hours writing down a cinematic dream I had, and the staff is gone because it’s Sunday.

So I’m publishing this as a separate article.

Bloomberg:

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will visit Asian countries including Singapore and Japan in her trip to the region, according to a statement from her office that skipped any mention of a possible stopover in Taiwan.

Pelosi will lead a congressional delegation that will also visit Malaysia and South Korea, according to the statement on Sunday. The trip will focus on mutual security, economic partnership and democratic governance in the Indo-Pacific region, it said.

Reports that her travel would include a stop in Taiwan had sparked a furious reaction in China, which regards the self-governing island as part of its territory. Beijing has warned there will be consequences if Pelosi visits, including a Defense Ministry statement that implied China might use military force in response.

China held live-fire military drills in the Taiwan Strait on Saturday. The exercises took place off the coast of Fujian province opposite Taiwan.

Bloomberg reported last week that Pelosi would also stop in Indonesia, which is set to host a Group of 20 leaders summit in November. Yet Sunday’s statement contained no mention of a stop in Southeast Asia’s biggest economy.

This was the most retarded possible series of events by the United States government, yet again. Why leak that you are planning to visit Taiwan and then back down when China responds in the most predictable possible way? Why purposefully put yourself in a position where you have to cower on the world stage?

This is like asking “why demand that all of Europe pretend that Russia sent rockets at its own POW camp full of war criminals who have agreed to testify about their behaviors?”

These are just this week’s examples of what I like to call “unforced errors.”

These are situations you just as easily could have not created. You can go to Asia and threaten China, you don’t need to claim you’re going to Taiwan, especially if you’re not willing to go through with an obvious game of chicken you’re creating. You can simply denounce any war crimes tribunal in the Donbass as a result of torture. If, separately, you want to bomb something in a reverse false flag to claim that Russia is doing false flags against itself, you can pick a more logical target than an Azov POW camp. You don’t have to hit the POW camp with the HIMARS.

This behavior is ridiculous, and it is getting more ridiculous by the day and perhaps by the hour.

Part of it is obviously that there is a “downward spiral effect” happening. There is no solution to the China problem just as there is no solution to the Russia problem. There probably were solutions a few years ago, possibly even at the beginning of the Biden Administration, but there aren’t now. If the US hadn’t planned a delegation to Taiwan and backed down, or hadn’t allowed the “Ukraine” people to blow up a POW camp full of their own elite soldiers, the US would only be in a slightly less bad but still totally unwinnable situation.

Desperation always leads to worse decision-making, hence the term “desperation.”

People have accused me of doom-mongering, but lately I feel like I’m coming on here and saying “I don’t really think this is as bad as it actually looks…” a whole lot. I don’t think that “cooler heads will prevail,” but I also don’t think it is actually as bad as it looks.

I’m sticking with “increasingly dumber decisions leading to increasingly less power of the US government.” Of course, the big deal is if the dollar falls off a cliff. But even if that happens, it doesn’t mean nuclear war and it doesn’t really necessarily even mean calorie shortages in the US, let alone starvation. It would mean general “food shortages” and “power outages” and “homelessness” and “rampant public violence” – but we already have all of those things!

The fact is, history is going to recount 2022 as a year of “apocalyptic falloff.” You’re right in the middle of it right now. This is what it feels like. Yes, maybe the dollar collapsing will be worse by some measure, but I think the tone is already set. Think of it like the song “Hotel California.” It has a guitar solo. You can check, it has a guitar solo. It’s worse than the rest of the song, but the song is so horrible that you don’t really notice that this particular part of the song is more horrible than the rest of the song.

>Don Felder was like “this song isn’t shitty enough. Bring out the double guitar and let’s turn it into double dog shit.” But you didn’t know it was double dog shit because you just heard dog shit. Hotel California is the song of our lives.

    ”China-Russia; and Bluffing’’

”You were so poorly advised before your June 16, 2021 face-to-face summit with President Putin that you apparently told him you understood that Russia was being “squeezed” (your word) by China. We can only hope that you and your advisers have since learned that the so-called “squeeze” is, rather, an unprecedentedly tight embrace between two countries, each of which now confront the US as threat #1. The balance of power has shifted; we wish we could be more confident that your political advisers have slowly become aware of that tectonic shift.

Your military advisers, at least, should have briefed you of the possibility of a two-front war with two nuclear-armed powers. Could a Pelosi visit to Taiwan provoke something like that. Surely, that game is not worth the candle.

As for China’s record for “bluffing”, we call to mind that on Oct. 2, 1950, China’s Premier Zhou Enlai warned that China would intervene in Korea if American troops went north of the 38th parallel. We all know what happened when that warning went unheeded. We also know that top U.S. military advisers at that time had nuclear strikes on China high on their list of options. China knows that too.”

  5. Business Insider had a story yesterday that some Chinese general posted on social media, then deleted yesterday that they would shoot down her plane before permitting it to land in Taiwan. None of those fools saw that one coming.

You cannot trust those sneaky china-men.

    Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
    “Relax,” said the night man

Just like US empire FATCA and taxation based citizenshit—the US empire is the only country in the world that does this excremento. (The African country, Eritrea does a similar thing, however, in a very different way that is NOTHING like what the vile US empire does to its’ slaves). The US does this to control its’ tax and debt slaves, sometimes known as citizens.

You can ‘leave’ the US, but never ever check out unless one expatriates/renounces their citizenshit.

  26. @Notsofast

Yes, the odious neocons have left a trail of lies over the years. But this is the golden age of untruth. People actually believe that men can become women, or that blacks are just the same under the skin. One of the more noxious lies that Americans are believing now is that dogs are human. I see this shit on bumper stickers about “my child has four paws.”. Last week, in Florida, I saw a whole bakery store just for fucking dogs. People are taking dogs into restaurants, even fancy ones. SMDH. I was invited to go out to dinner with my parents, aunt, uncle, and uncle’s “service” dog. To a nice place. I said to my mom, “Is he such a mental cripple with PTSD from Vietnam that he can’t go out to eat for two hours without the damn dog?”. I was too embarrassed to go.

What is going to happen (is happening) when people believe lies is that anything is acceptable and justifiable. There are no rules or standards. I expressed my disgust to my boomer-in-law when we saw dogs in a restaurant, and he said, “Whatever makes them happy. If it makes them happy let them do it.” Is that what he would say about someone who tries to have sex with children? Or go to a restaurant in the nude? No truth, no standards!

Like “New Age” music, Yacht Rock gets hated because of its essentially White nature. New Age “has no rhythm” such as pounding drums. Yacht Rock emphasizes musical competence and studio technology.

What is going to happen (is happening) when people believe lies is that anything is acceptable and justifiable. There are no rules or standards.

This essentially describes the UK in the present day.

I am convinced that electing Tony Blair a quarter century ago was the UK’s way of saying, “we don’t care anymore” and it has been downhill ever since. Any remaining standards today are purely nominal and no one is ever actually held to anything.

In fact, I am almost starting to think the UK is a sort of test bed for the US. The politicians in the UK seem to test drive the latest nonsense here, first. If the population tolerates it, off it goes to America to torment the Yanks.

agree totally on joe walsh, the man never gets the credit he is due. imo his work with the james gang is far superior to anything the eagles ever did, their music was too much coked out 70’s hedonism, for my taste. his solo work after the eagles, by far exceeds any other members solo work, compare “life of illusion” to “dirty laundry” for example. with that said joe walsh is still proud of the guitar solo, in hotel califorina, which he played in unison with felder, perhaps andrew may have a point about the double neck gibson, a very heavy, awkward guitar (although jimmy page played one occasionally, more of that 70’s hedonistic excess).

Off topic anecdote: 2 Black guys I knew in the UK (one British born of Caribbean descent and the other Eritrean) went to an Eagles concert in London.

They were huge Eagles fans and said that most likely they were the only Black dudes at the event.

Just to be clear, they weren’t saying this as a racial whinge, but making a laughing observation.

I know the Caribbean-descended dude was big time into Rock and Roll classics – and couldn’t stand rap or hip hop “music”.

Not everybody fits neatly into categories.

  48. Altai says:

I’ve been saying elsewhere but the biggest consequence of the proxy war in Ukraine is convincing China and the non-Western world that the US has been deeply reckless as it’s grip on global hegemony declines.

The Chinese now have had to reformulate their calculations of how far and how much risk the US will take in confronting nuclear-armed adversaries. IE, how much the US respects others’ nuclear deterrents.

By stupidly starting a new Cold War with Russia and running up to the edge of the cliff of nuclear war for literally no good reason the US has pushed Russia and China to form a military alliance that has been considered for decades to be the worst case outcome. An entity that simply cannot be challenged by the West. The logical strategy is to let Russia be with the West where it wanted to be, peeling it off from China, whom it should be in conflict with and helping to counter-balance China with the West. Now the two will build alternative financial and other institutions with the full cooperation of the non-Western world and be totally free from Western control and unlike the first Cold War, they have enough of the money in their system to prosper.

It has also spooked the Chinese into thinking a conflict with the US is sooner than it thought and made it start to prepare. There was never anything Russia could give to the US, it simply kept demanding total submission. It was start this war or surrender, those were the terms offered a country that posed no threat but which had thousands of ICBMs. The US never sought peace with Russia, the Chinese fear it won’t seek it with it either.

It’s over now, the new Cold War has been lost before it has even begun. Late stage democracies, riven with a suicidal ideology of oikophobia and embrace of mass migration along with crappy neoliberal economic policies cannot defeat authoritarian regimes with a deep sense of common history and destiny and long term planning.

The proxy war in Ukraine is a new Pearl Harbor but with the US as the Japanese and China as the sleeping giant.

Why not also ask, “Why should Congress members be allowed to go outside the US on quasi-diplomatic missions, anyway?” or: “What Congressional power allows all of this spending on publicity tours by Congress members who are campaigning for reelection?”

The news media simply presents the reports of this kind of tour as a normal function of the majority party’s politicians. No such function is listed anywhere in the US Constitution. If Congress has such a legitimate function, then what is the point of the duplicate function of the Executive branch for diplomacy, both in the offices of president and VP and the US State Dept?.

Pelosi should keep her wrinkled old ass at home instead of globe-trotting at the expense of taxpayers. I suppose that the news media would consider that statement as “hate speech/disinformation”.

China is trying to help Pelosi win in the midterm elections and keep control of the gavel.

This was my initial suspicion. Somehow, Xi was going to give way gracefully in an attempt to prop up his puppet Not-The-President Biden.

However, that does not appear to be the case. Apparently, the CCP realizes that the illegitimate Biden regime will become valueless after the midterms.

There probably is a goal associated with throwing the White House occupant over board now rather than later. However, it is not immediately apparent. Perhaps tossing him while the European Empire’s attention is focused on Ukraine is an effort at generating a clean break?

Well, speaking only for myself (as if there is anything else), I find this to be a most invigorating time to be alive!

Just think of it: World War III is going to make WWII look like WWI. “I remember when there was 8 Billion people on the planet!”

As the old saying goes, I couldn’t be there for the start of human history, but I can be here for the end. The legendary “great culling” was always supposed to kill 90% of the Earth’s population, so I guess, in a way, it doesn’t really matter how.

Looking on the bright side (funny, eh’?) the coming calamity will give us ample opportunity to do some local clean-up. Like Adopt a Highway, but with people.

I guess, in a way, it was always inevitable: Either Zombie Apocalypse of Post-Nuclear War Hell-scape, and I don’t mind saying that I think the latter was a wise choice. I don’t want to spend the rest of my worthless existence trying to out-run brain eating undead, I’m just not in that kind of shape anymore.

However, creeping around in my ghillie suit, scrounging for food, while occasionally doing some “work” doesn’t sound that bad right now. Also, nuclear winter sounds rather refreshing, and it affords me full use of a more comprehensive wardrobe.

You know how people like to say “it’s always darkest before the dawn”? Well, it isn’t true, as anyone that’s ever watched a sunrise can attest, but despite that fallacy, it’s pretty dark right now, maybe 9:00 pm on a summer evening, and the sun is about to set, and then, it’s going to get really dark at midnight, but by 2:00-3:00 am, our eyes will have adjusted, and we’ll be pretty used to it.

Most of us won’t live to see the sunrise, and that’s ok, because it’s all about what we do “tonight” that truly matters. Adopt a Highway, but with people.

    Cheers!

Thanks! This one from Matthew Ehret is great, as always.

Blocking US-Russian cooperation is not surprising.

The Brits, France, and now the US, all tried to conquer Russia.

1763: the Brits conquered the French (lower Canada). The Rothchilds reportedly went to Rome to establish economic ties between London and Paris bankers (and therefore with the Vatican, considered by many as THE ”weapon” of choice against Russia).

1812: Napoleon tried to invade Russia, and ruined Europe. My ancestors had to quit Europe and emigrate to Canada.

1853: the Brits tried to conquer Russia during the Crimean war. Scientists like Michael Faraday opposed the war, and asked the Crown not to use their works to wage the war.

Today: the Brits, US, and France all want to plunder Russia (and Europe). I read that the Siemens (RollsRoyce) turbines required to restart gas flow through Germany are hold by the BRITS. Canada is just a valet that does the maintenance, and doesn’t have the fundamental right to protest against the canadian support of nazis monsters in Ukraine, like a total idiot. Infuriating.

Something that you have in rock and jazz but which classical lacks is improvisation. In classical it doesn’t matter much who is playing the music as long as they’re competent musicians but individual virtuosity shines more in the rock and jazz genres. Some of the rock musicians who are trained classical musicians and can read sheet music could have easily been members of some classical orchestra. Even a self-taught musician like Ian Anderson can play and rearrange Bach. Then you get multi-instrumentalists in rock who can play several instruments. I don’t know, are we comparing apples and oranges?

    • Replies: @Rich
  88. @CelestiaQuesta

Members of Toto were also behind a lot of music that went under the names of other bands and rock stars. There must be a lot of incompetent bands and stars that were manufactured by producers using session musicians, although some did eventually master the instruments to give a decent live performance, apparently even the Monkees. It’s hard for us untrained musical fans to really judge what really went on behind the scenes. Ray Manzarek of the Doors or Jon Lord of Deep Purple are clearly better musicians than any of the Beatles, or the Beach Boys, given that they are trained classical musicians. But then didn’t Theo Adorno of the Frankfurt school write most of that pop and rock music? (so some claim, not that I believe it, but then anything is possible … it is quite weird that sometime after his death that pop and rock genre declined and none of those great bands were able to write any memorable hits again but just continued living on past glory and re-playing their old songs on tours as they got older. Could it be that they lacked creative talent and that it was someone in the shadows creating their hits while still alive? I mean just look at the Rolling Stones: they’re still around but have they really written a pumping thumping memorable hit since the early 1970s? This raises the question if Jagger/Richards ever really wrote those songs they’re credited with, and the same could hold for Lennon/McCartney, and others).

As a creative, I believe all art forms are inspired first, then interpreted as to your artist skill. Not all are classically trained or simple self taught geniuses in the arts.
Take for example CQ, a great natural talent years ahead of those current computer based sample/loop charlatans creating endless noise via sound manipulation with software plugins.
cRap is 100% computer generated and vocals are processed with AutoTune and other audio shaping tools to correct pitch and extend notes.
Most all major film scores produced by the Film Actors Guild (((FAG))) are rip offs of Wagner and his German/Russia counterparts. Since their music is now public domain, they can’t get sued for copyright infringement or have to pay royalties. (John Williams, Hans Zimmer for example)

You don’t know what you’re talking about. A majority of Taiwanese wish to keep their independence from china, and they understand that the US is the only thing standing in the way of a chinese invasion of their isalnd.
the Chinese in Australia will be lucky to escape internment camps or even mass extermination for siding with their ethnic homeland against the nation which took them in. what the chinese in australia want is antithetical to what white australians want, which is a strong alliance with the US against china.

  100. @Commentator Mike

All of the United States, including Hawaii used to be under the control of indians or natives, but their rule was displaced by white americans. so it doesn’t matter what hawaii used to be, it matters what hawaii is today, which is undisputed part of the US. Hawaii is no longer under the control of the hawaiin royal family, it is US territory. Taiwan on the other is not part of china. whether it waspart of china at certain points in the past doesn’t matter because today it is an independent nation. Who cares what the official statements of the UN say about it? Taiwan exists as a separate nation right now with the actual backing of the US military, as Joe BIden has made clear, regardless of what any official statements say.

One of the things I actually appreciate about Taiwan is that it is not a member of the United Nations. The UN is just the prototype World Government of the NWO, although I suppose it does occasionally do something useful but I’d have to think hard to find an example of this: perhaps some UNHCR financial assistance to Palestinian refugees. More countries should leave the UN.

  103. Well, now that Pelosi has landed, reunification between Taiwan and the mainland will likely be imminent. Thank you for your hard work, ma’am.
