Thinking about it, humanoid robots are kind of pointless for the purpose Musk claims these are meant to serve. One of the nice features of a robot is that it doesn’t have to be tied to any specific form. If you wanted some kind of all-purpose menial labor robot, it would almost certainly be better for it to have a non-humanoid form, probably with a high degree of modularity so that it could actually change forms to easily suit different tasks. Something like a collection of blocks and arms that could self-assemble to different shapes as needed. Instead, they decided to make a humanoid robot from a Hollywood movie. This shows that these are, like most Tesla crap, a gimmick made more to appeal to sci-fi nerds on reddit than to be functional.
