Hm, while reading this article over at Anglin’s site one of my browser add-ons was giving me a “content-warning”-notice. Which isn’t anything special when it comes to Anglin’s site – for being the most evil place (evilest?) on the internet, you know.

But it specifically said “adult content” which raised my curiosity. Looks like this “Chinese girl” is actually from Thailand. And not a girl at all.

Is that supposed to be irony? Or Anglin (once again) not paying attention to details? But why should we trust a browser-extention in the first place…

U.S. manufacturing moving to China is the fault of Washington too. The inflationary policies of the federal government raised the wages of American workers and made them uncompetitive on the world labor market. In the case of tradeable goods like what you might buy off the shelf at Walmart, they started being produced overseas. This process could not take place with non-tradeable goods like medical care or higher education so inflation, in the form of higher prices, did take place there. Inflation also showed up in stock prices and real estate prices.

The movement of rural Chinese to the big cities to work in factories is largely complete and the Chinese population is aging. There is no untapped source of cheap labor there in the future. The Federal Reserve can no longer depend on cheap imports in the future to keep consumer prices here down. The federal government is going to have to end low interest rates and stop the money printing. To stop the money printing, they need to stop the out-of-control spending which necessitates the money printing to pay for that spending. Politicians want to blame big corporations, supply chain interruptions or Putin for inflation but inflation is created in Washington.

Ukraine war was enough to convinced the neocons that Russia is done for.

I don’t know why. The Russians have been wrecking US equipment almost as soon as it arrives on the battlefield, which is why $100 billion hasn’t pushed Russia out of the Donbas, yet. It’s a turkey shoot now, and Ukrainians are the turkeys.

Ukrainians does the dying. That is the part they play in this. So, in a conflict in the Taiwan, Taiwanese and maybe Japanese does the dying. It isn’t about winning, it is about bleeding Russia or China, and scare capital enough so they move to the USA. International money flow. And of course if they can win, even better. If there is no Russian winter offensive, Ukraine did win, they did pushed back the Russians.

Ukraine war did this for the USA:
–United public opinion in EU vs Russia, propaganda works. Merkel stepped down, so it was also easy to get the new Germany to commit economic suicide. Who knows if the new German leaders got there with CIA help or not. pipelines getting bombed is just the last nail on the German coffin.
–Allowed USA to sucked the capital from EU so it can raise interest rates to combat inflation from the last 2 years of money printing.
–The super fast rising cost of energy = EU manufacturing dead. Congress just passed a bill subsiding manufacturing in the USA = EU companies moving their factories to the USA = moving the backbone of EU economy to the USA. Macron visit was for this. Didn’t do shit.

China saw this and decided to open up their country in a hurry. China also want a piece of the European manufacturing pie. Of course also in preparation for the 2023 “recession” that Chinese experts see coming.

This was never about whose fault it is. This was all about trading printed papers for actual products. This was the goal. Still is the goal. The almost 1 trillion dollar military budget is to Maintain this goal.

You would not feel this way if the Chinese were not smart enough to use the money they earned to make China better. No one does manufacturing better than the Chinese and with “scale”. Only country I can see to catch China is India. without the famous Indian red tape, maybe in 20 years, with the red tape, never.

Cheap imports will never go away. Chinese factories produce items base on the requirements of the buyer. You can 100% put the blame of low quality on the American companies that imports. And when they move the manufacturing to another country, like Vietnam or India, it will still be the same.

Inflation will go away if the rate goes to 5.5% and stay there for a year, 2023 is gonna be painful. Are you ready?

I wanted to add something to my previous comment, but thought it best to keep them separate.

There are two ways one could respond to her use of the word arbitrary.
One would be to write an article of one’s own (and it’d be worth it because it touches on important issues related to the crisis in education, of which she is a symptom, as it were).
The other way would be to limit one’s response to a comment. So that’s what I’ll do here.

Like anything else, a configuration, or sign, can be categorized in any number of ways.
To keep it simple we’ll focus on just two, immediate and mediate signs. An example of an immediate sign would be a tree; a mediate sign of a tree would be either a photo of a tree, or the word tree. So, mediate signs can be broken down into arbitrary signs of which the most prominent are words.

An arbitrary sign is just what the name implies – arbitrary. In other words, there’s no reason for them to be what they are. Tree, Arbol, Baum, L’arbe, Arvore, Albero, etc. all work equally well. So? What’s the point?

The point is words, or linguistic signs, are all arbitrary!

It would be as if she said (no doubt with all the sanctimony she could muster) You have a selective memory! To which any reasonable person would reply, No shit! Memory is selective! No one remembers everything.

In fact, perception itself is selective, or, arbitrary. It has to be.

And now we’re back to my first comment and why this “teacher” in the video is so sick, crazy and stupid she doesn’t even know she is. Just what the world needs, another intellectually incompetent, morally bankrupt “teacher” with an addiction to mood-altering through self-righteousness, who gets to spend quality time with children.

Not only does she not understand the meaning of the word arbitrary. She doesn’t understand its function or context. And yet she’s a teacher of high school English!

It’s easy to make fun of people like her and to just call her names, as I did in my previous comment. And the names we call her might be well-chosen and on target. But that’s not the point. The point is, right now, she is a teacher, and therefore a danger to society and certainly to children, any society’s most precious resource.

Whether we like it or not, what we need is a formal demonstration of exactly why she’s sick, crazy and stupid, and why she doesn’t know it, and why this means that she is engaged in educational malpractice, and for these reasons should be barred from teaching until she has learned her lessons and learned them well.

But since that isn’t likely to ever happen, the rather attractive woman in the video is right – Homeschool Your Children!

I am afraid that you are sadly mistaken about Americans having “too high wages” and “being uncompetitive.” There is more than enough money in this country “to go around,” as there always has been. Two of the more recent American “fatalities” insofar as American jobs are concerned are Hershey’s chocolate and Carrier (United Technologies). Those American plants WERE PROFITABLE and “competitive,” but the parent corporations decided that they could have higher “profits” by moving production to Mexico.

The United States is in a race to the bottom, that of being a Third World country or a Banana Republic, if you will. Thanks to Wall Street and the criminal banking “industry.”

Good points… Though probably only Filipinos would move any money to the US in such a scenario… ASEAN is not Japan… It has no desire to be a US vassal. Filipinos though still have that Stockholm Syndrome because of being colonized by the US.
