Wait until the progressive types find out that Debussy’s “Golliwog’s Cakewalk” is written to commemorate one of those black dolls. Another cultural icon will be banished from civilization, to be replaced by someone more democratic. Kanye West, for example.
I have a few objects exactly like the above which I inherited, and which I think are rather charming. I also knew a gay black guy who collected the stuff. He thought it was an important part of American history as well as the black experience as well, along with the numerous “coon” songs from the late 19th and early 20th Century which helped define not only ragtime, but jazz, and popular music (including rock) generally.
There are two ironies here. The first is that many of these images, drawings, songs, and vaudeville routines were created by African Americans, like say Bert Williams (actually born in the Bahamas). The second is that by insisting on the suppression of these images, songs, lyrics, etc. progressives in effect erase quite bit of America’s African American heritage.
I wonder if supermarkets have started setting up smelling salts to revive anyone who is so unlucky to accidentally wander down either the breakfast (Aunt Jemima, Cream of Wheat chef) or dry goods (Uncle Ben) aisle. Or maybe they’ll just settle on flashing red lights and trigger warnings.
More seriously, articles like the above just emphasize that the current generation is incapable of writing about anything without some long, hard, and completely paranoid navel gazing.
@SPMoore8SP, I find what I call African American memorabilia at garage sales and sell them at our local Flea Market. Most of my buyers are blacks who collect these objects, such as the pictured salt and pepper shakers. Mammy cookie jars and old food ads, Uncle Ben, Aunt Jamima are big sellers.Replies: @Anonymous, @Chrisnonymous

It's ironic how so many people who bemoan "the current generation" are themselves beholden to the media narrative that they so abhor. Try getting out there and actually talk to "the current generation". You think you're sick of having these issues forced on you? Try living on a college campus as so many of them do. Young people have their own social outlets where they operate and vent their own opposition to this nonsense with their own clever cynicism. Not only do these young people have to suffer the narratives first-hand, but they also have your ignorant fingers pointed at them for being responsible for it.Replies: @SPMoore8

In other words, “we’re just not finding enough white racism today, so please help us find obscure relics from the past so that we can re-open old wounds.” “We’re bringing back racism!”
@Flinders PetrieYou have to wonder who needs racism more:
- people (group A) who need to believe in the existence of groups that are inferior, or
- people (group B) who need to cash in on the guilt of (group A) people, or
- people (group C) who need to believe that there is an invisible force preventing them from succeeding in life.
People who say that racism is entrenched in American culture aren't just whistling Dixie.Replies: @SPMoore8, @Flinders Petrie, @TheJester

My dad has an unpainted, alablaster lawn jockey in his back yard. I’m sure it’s MORE racist because it’s alablaster white, but if you look closely you can see the hotdog lips and bulging eyeballs like portly Andy from Amos ‘N Andy of yore.
The NYT article doesn’t allow comments, but it does solicit replies, so I “replied” to their questionnaire with a highly critical comment and an obviously fake email address. I doubt my response will be published, but it was kind of satisfying anyway, since they said that every response would be read.
If a lot of people did the same, it might give them something to think about.
Have you encountered a racist object? Tell us about it.
Haaa, that’s hilarious. The nebbish little SJWs at the NYT who write articles about “racist objects” would wet themselves if they came to my small, 99% white, working-class town. Here, white people still put coal-black lawn jockeys with big red painted lips in their front yards.
@Dr. XThe enterprising SJW could surely wangle, er, negotiate some college credit for all that selective research. Given all the Down With The Patriarchy and the Evil YT flames being fanned by the usual suspects, there may even be some stipend or scholarship money available from Uncle Georgie.
@Scott X"This is what passes for news at the N.Y. Times? I don’t know if I should be appalled, or just sad."
The New York Times gives The Black Atlanta Star a run for their money in being blindedly pro-Black. To say the NYT sees Blacks as sacred cows who can do no wrong is an underestimate.

@Buffalo JoeMy mom does the same thing - she didn't mention blacks as particularly big buyers, but she says those items are hot. She came across some old 19th c cloth and she was going to make counterfeit golliwogs out because that seemed like the best way to turn them into money, not sure if she ever actually did it.
@Buffalo JoeSeveral years ago on Antiques Roadshow, some of this kind of memorabilia was going for really high prices--middle class blacks buy it up. Sort of nice, sort of disturbing...
Oh those liberal websites. A few years ago one of them was opining about Tide detergent being heavily shoplifted in poor neighborhoods and what might be the root causes. I commented that maybe it was because it was basketball orange, which led to me getting banned.
@Elmer T. JonesTide and other high value items are shoplifted in part to use in bartering. A Tide jug or two may be worth enough food, alcohol or drugs to get some through a rough patch.

I remember as a Canadian kid in the early 90s that a lot of prole neighborhoods had little ceramic black guy’s fishing as lawn ornaments…they were the Canadian version of lawn gnomes… though thinking back they had giant lips painted red and loud colored clothes…my friends and I thought it was hilarious to take them from one yard and switch them up with another. These problematic guys all seemed to have gone into the barn or basement in recent years, though my neighbor recently painted hers Caucasian pink and brought it back out. The current trend is to hire a carver that will come to your house and mutilate a diseased tree into a stylized totem pole, which you then varnish. I suspect in another decade white people will be embarrassed over this as well.
@BigBlueArseOfNeptuneIf you have any classic sambo type figurines they are worth a fortune now as there are not a ton that are left well preserved, and there are now many rich blacks who collect them. I am talking $250+ for a 1950's salt and pepper shaker set.
Almost every modern piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys for a total of 88 keys. With a majority of white keys, 60%, does this mean that piano keys are racist? Are black keys over or under represented in relation to the percentage of blacks and whites in America? If black keys are over represented, is this a “disparate impact” and should the number of black keys affixed to the piano be reduced to remedy the disparate impact? Or should a piano have 50% white and 50% black keys to achieve “harmony between ebony and ivory?”
@CCZPiano keys change color over many years, as the white keys get more yellowish and the black keys may lighten somewhat to a type of ashy brown. Red keys are usually from burst blisters.Replies: @larry lurker
@CCZIt's racist that the order in which the major and minor keys are usually listed starts with the all-white keys of C major and A minor. In a just society, the first keys would be B major and G# minor.Replies: @larry lurker, @MikeTheMick
@CCZEarlier keyboard instruments like harpsichords had the colours reversed (I don't think they had 88 keys, it varied). You still see them with classical music played on period instruments. Maybe the switch to white was because they were somewhat easier to see. (and to see the division between keys).
Have Steve and his “white” readers done their daily public confession of racism yet today? Consider this your reminder.
For now, you won’t be criminally prosecuted for failing to do so, just don’t expect to ever get a job at Yale, but it is time to begin getting with the program. We make no promises there will not be retroactive laws against implicit bias and racism.

"Woke" just sounds lazy, like they didn't want to bother with past participles.
Oops, is "woke" Ebonics? In that case I can't comment.
@LotI wonder, does anyone call it racism when blacks watch an all-white movie and feel excluded? Nor do they ever feel the need to confess their 'guilt' and support the movie, and go about asking others to do so. No, they demand it gets pulled and feel righteous for doing so. And the media, schools, etc all support them in this. Who is actually being subjected to institutionalized racism again?Replies: @bomag

@Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY)I saw those in a downmarket Hong Kong toy store as recently as 1996 and earlier, too, in other places in Asia. Didn't know they were called that or that they were Japanese.
Asia also had Darkie Brand toothpaste, which was market dominant in the '80s. They changed the name to Darlie when a visiting black congressman from America noticed and created a ruckus.
How long until they conclude that irredeemable whites need to be put in their own countries? All they seem to do is point out how bad whites are to others. I see TV ads with negro actors, almost all negroes in fact, implying they’re ALL stupid enough to get reverse mortgages, eat at McDonald’s, drink that Bud Lite swill, or consult with an Edward Jones shyster. Ad nauseam.
@carolI live in New Jersey, where there has been a strong movement for parents to remove their children from Common Core tests. This movement bought a lot of television advertisements -- broadcast right before the tests -- that encourage parents to do so. These advertisements (I perceive) disproportionately feature Black actors. Black children score relatively low on these tests, and therefore many Black parents might be receptive to calls for their children to boycott the tests. I never have seen any discussion of this television-advertising phenomenon.Replies: @Ivy

It’s not my fault that I’m melanin-challenged. All humans should burn equally. I want government compensation for the sunscreen and hats I have to buy. And I want the sun fired from its job.
I have been so confronted almost daily by such an object on newsstands my whole life-by the New York Times itself. Every page drips with contempt, hate and condescension for anything and anyone white, working class, middle class, blue collar, law enforcement, military, Christian, Catholic, Euro ethnic.Or in short, the Times hates America.
Sambo’s is a restaurant, formerly an American restaurant chain, started in 1957 by Sam Battistone, Sr. and Newell Bohnett. Though the name was taken from portions of the names of its founders, the chain soon found itself associated with The Story of Little Black Sambo. Battistone, Sr. and Bohnett capitalized on the connection by decorating the walls of the restaurants with scenes from the book, including a dark-skinned boy, tigers, and a pale, magical unicycle-riding man called “The Treefriend” . . .
By 1979, Sambo’s had 1,117 outlets in 47 American states. In the late 1970s, controversy over the chain’s name drew protests and lawsuits in communities that viewed the term Sambo as pejorative towards African-Americans, particularly in the Northeastern states. Several of the restaurants were opened as or renamed to “The Jolly Tiger” in locations where the local community passed resolutions forbidding the use of the original name or refused to grant the chain permits.
@TangoManTwo college classmates took advantage of the $.10 bottomless cup of coffee at Sambo's and whiled away the night playing chess and even studying before showering and then heading to morning classes and afternoon naps. Eventually the manager decided to toss them out after another expensive urn only brought in $.20.
They moved up the block to another dive to enjoy breakfast (two eggs, toast, hash browns and coffee) for $.79. The waitress there took home packets of jam, relish and ketchup for her grad student husband to use as filling for "sandwiches". Those were simpler times.
@TangoManI thought Sambo was an Indian? He had to be, since I remember it was about some tiger chasing Sambo's ass around for his clothes. Ain't no damned tigers in Africa. How did African Americans get their noses in the middle of that story? I remember liking that story as a kid, and I just thought of it as an exotic story. @ShaqI used to worry about this one myself quite a bit when I was their age, so I'm sympathetic.Honestly I am not sure. I like Trump's isolationism but he also seems a little on the hot-headed side. For me it cancels out and stuff like immigration carries the day. (It is interesting Democrats have become the War Party.)I doubt it either way though. It's been a while since 1972 and if we didn't start one after 9/11 I doubt we could now. None of the candidates have actually served, and the whole reason they got away with Iraq was they didn't have the popular discontent a draft would start. Plus the feminists would finally have a counterargument to their oppression olympics nobody could argue with. Don't let them enlist. @ShaqWW3 may be underway in Syria before or maybe even instead of the election. Whether or not that happens by then, if Hillary gets in the chances of a third World War during her first term are almost 100%, and it will be nuclear.
@ShaqHillary has surrounded herself with a bunch of Neo-Cons as foreign policy advisers and has already talked about imposing a no-fly zone over Syria which would lead to a war with Russia.
Beyond that, she has shown horrific judgement as SofS. She supported the "Arab Spring", the overthrow of Mubaraq in Egypt and being replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood; supported the overthrow and destabilization of Libya and the killing Gaddafi; supported the civil war in Syria.
Basically she's a blithering incompetent.
Trump OTOH would rather talk and negotiate better deals for us and he doesn't see Russia as our mortal enemy as many in the Pentagon and State Department do. He's also smart enough to realize that a war with Russia would probably collapse our already sickly economy.
That said, if Hillary wins, keep you son's out of the military, chances are she'll have them fight and die for nothing.Replies: @CCZ
If we ever lost a war, and were literally conquered, the one silver lining in that tornado cloud would be that “journalists” like this Logan Jaffee would have the bullhorn ripped out of their hands, and be utterly beholden to the propaganda of another regime as the price of being informed (reading the news of your city, in Jaffee’s case, New York).
What I bemoan second -most about the impending hurricaine in Florida is that it helps the media re-establish some credibility by reporting on a natural disaster factually, regaining public trust a wee bit.
@AnonymousYou need to check with Drudge re your claim of factual reporting. I just lived through Hurricane Matt here in PBC (the Winter White House) and we went from uninhabitable for weeks to never losing power. I'm going to refer to Drudge as Hurricane Matt from now on. Did you see that picture of Hillary today? I wonder how many attacks his website fends off.

Hurricane forecasting is a black art, not a science, so the media reports tend to be wrong.
Here in Miami, everything shut down even though we were only supposed to get tropical-storm-force winds (40 to 75 mph) - and, in the end, we didn't even get that. But TV and radio stations pre-empted all of their regular programming for breathless storm coverage. (Broward was under a hurricane warning. The Miami stations cover the Dade/Broward area, and most of them have a policy that they go to round-the-clock storm coverage during a hurricane warning.)
Store shelves were emptied, gas stations were sucked dry, schools were closed, stores were shuttered - and nothing happened. It rained off and on for a few hours, and that was it.
The next time a storm comes, and the media goes into 24/7 hype mode, a lot of the newcomers down here who've never been through a hurricane might say, "Yeah, well, they told us the last storm was going to be bad, and nothing happened. I'm not wasting my time." And then we'll get hit dead-on, and these folks will be screwed.
The same thing happened up in New York a few years ago. In 2011, Irene was billed as the Hurricane of the Century - and it wasn't. A year later, when Sandy rolled around, how many New Yorkers were lulled into a false sense of security?

And not very clever or inventive. “Woke” just sounds lazy, like they didn’t want to bother with past participles.
Oops, is “woke” Ebonics? In that case I can’t comment.
Have you encountered a racist object? Tell us about it.
Haaa, that's hilarious. The nebbish little SJWs at the NYT who write articles about "racist objects" would wet themselves if they came to my small, 99% white, working-class town. Here, white people still put coal-black lawn jockeys with big red painted lips in their front yards.

Great Lakes Rust Belt. There's thousands of little towns in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan that are 99% white. The cities are, of course, very black. I see TV ads with negro actors, almost all negroes in fact, implying they're ALL stupid enough to get reverse mortgages, eat at McDonald's, drink that Bud Lite swill, or consult with an Edward Jones shyster. Ad nauseam.
Outrageous. Blatant. And deeply offensive.Replies: @Mike Sylwester, @advancedatheist
I live in New Jersey, where there has been a strong movement for parents to remove their children from Common Core tests.
This movement bought a lot of television advertisements — broadcast right before the tests — that encourage parents to do so. These advertisements (I perceive) disproportionately feature Black actors.
Black children score relatively low on these tests, and therefore many Black parents might be receptive to calls for their children to boycott the tests.
I never have seen any discussion of this television-advertising phenomenon.

Or from the cuts you get on your hands after breaking a window and crawling into the music building so you and your buddies could stage a 3 a.m. “Bohemian Rhapsody” sing-along in one of the practice rooms.
My favorite racist object is the “white courtesy phones” at airports. As in, “Steve Sailer, please pick up the white courtesy phone.”
Why “white courtesy”? As though blacks can’t be courteous? That’s raciss.
Almost every modern piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys for a total of 88 keys. With a majority of white keys, 60%, does this mean that piano keys are racist? Are black keys over or under represented in relation to the percentage of blacks and whites in America? If black keys are over represented, is this a "disparate impact" and should the number of black keys affixed to the piano be reduced to remedy the disparate impact? Or should a piano have 50% white and 50% black keys to achieve "harmony between ebony and ivory?"Replies: @Ivy, @International Jew, @antipater_1, @Frau Katze, @oddsbodkins
It’s racist that the order in which the major and minor keys are usually listed starts with the all-white keys of C major and A minor. In a just society, the first keys would be B major and G# minor.
@International JewThis kind of trash has been happening for a LONG time. It was about 1973 when I met a music grad student who was trying to create new forms of music. Because catchy tunes used some notes more than others, and that was UNFAIR!
Was telling someone not long ago that 'round about 1990 hip-hop had some honest-to-God catchy tunes and was quite danceable (I was in my late 20s, so danceable was something to be considered, at least.)
What passes for "music" these days is just wretched.
That is another great song. I was a little kid and remember liking this era of rap and hip-hop that was less vulgar and not hostile to white america.
I can report that in college in the early-mid 00’s both “Push It” and “Bust a Move” would be enjoyed at college parties mixed in with Weezer. U Can’t Touch This too. Besides sounding nice, Bust a Move is easy to dance to when moderately drunk.
My best guess is that two things ruined hip-hop circa 1992.
1) copyright crack-down on sampling
2) drastic increase in marijuana consumption
I appreciate a well-crafted rhyme, whether it's Emily Dickinson, Dr. Seuss or Ice T. Late-80s/very-early-90s hip-hop exclusively featured quick and clever rhyme schemes with perfect syllabic symmetry. (The narrative element was also much more prominent, but that's an entirely separate issue.) Once Snoop Dog got popular, rappers started smoking a lot more weed. The beats slowed down, their rhymes got sloppy and off-time. Furthermore, they ceased to tell interesting stories. With the lyrical content diminished, it became readily apparent how bad the "music" was. Now DJs couldn't write music OR rip off other artists without being sued.
In hindsight, if an entire musical genre can be ruined by dope and theft-prevention, maybe it wasn't all that great to begin with?Replies: @Sean, @Danindc, @Brutusale

Trump thinks kids inherit genetic attributes from their parents. FACT CHECK: the only thing kids can inherit is ancestral guilt for slavery.
Only in the Progtard catechism. Even then, it's not slavery per se, but the racism that motivated it. You can tell that racism is the most grave sin because it is the most notorious characteristic of their anti-Christ Hitler, the measure of all things.
They've set about re-inventing Christianity, lacking only Christ and his salvific Power (cf. Paul in Romans for a useful summary). In his place is an anti-Christ who tells one what not to do, but not why.
@eahThe United States inherited the affliction of slavery from its forbears England, Spain, etc. It's the governments and investors that sponsored the slave trade from the 15th century onward that are responsible for the slavery of Africans in the "New World." The "original sin" is with the descendants of those influential Europeans who sponsored that trade.Replies: @Curle

Sambo's is a restaurant, formerly an American restaurant chain, started in 1957 by Sam Battistone, Sr. and Newell Bohnett. Though the name was taken from portions of the names of its founders, the chain soon found itself associated with The Story of Little Black Sambo. Battistone, Sr. and Bohnett capitalized on the connection by decorating the walls of the restaurants with scenes from the book, including a dark-skinned boy, tigers, and a pale, magical unicycle-riding man called "The Treefriend" . . .
By 1979, Sambo's had 1,117 outlets in 47 American states. In the late 1970s, controversy over the chain's name drew protests and lawsuits in communities that viewed the term Sambo as pejorative towards African-Americans, particularly in the Northeastern states. Several of the restaurants were opened as or renamed to "The Jolly Tiger" in locations where the local community passed resolutions forbidding the use of the original name or refused to grant the chain permits.

Opponents of the statue in Ghana quoted several of Gandhi’s early writings in which he referred to black South Africans as “kaffirs” – a highly offensive racist slur – and complained that the South African government wanted to “drag down” Indians to the same level as people he called “half-heathen natives”.
One Gandhi quote was: “Ours is one continual struggle against a degradation sought to be inflicted upon us by the Europeans, who desire to degrade us to the level of the raw kaffir whose occupation is hunting, and whose sole ambition is to collect a certain number of cattle to buy a wife with and then pass his life in indolence and nakedness.”
So much for Third World post-colonial solidarity. The revolution devours its own.
@PiltdownManIt is obvious that on the victim rankings that blacks easily beat Indians, so the removal of the Ghandi statue is no big threat for the narrative. What would be a bigger deal however is if Ghana decided to boycott Israel, that would be the true clash of titans of victimhood.Replies: @Jefferson
The film, moreover, does not give the slightest hint as to Gandhi’s attitude toward blacks, and the viewers of Gandhi would naturally suppose that, since the future Great Soul opposed South African discrimination against Indians, he would also oppose South African discrimination against black people. But this is not so. While Gandhi, in South Africa, fought furiously to have Indians recognized as loyal subjects of the British empire, and to have them enjoy the full rights of Englishmen, he had no concern for blacks whatever. In fact, during one of the “Kaffir Wars” he volunteered to organize a brigade of Indians to put down a Zulu rising, and was decorated himself for valor under fire.
Have Steve and his "white" readers done their daily public confession of racism yet today? Consider this your reminder.
For now, you won't be criminally prosecuted for failing to do so, just don't expect to ever get a job at Yale, but it is time to begin getting with the program. We make no promises there will not be retroactive laws against implicit bias and racism.
Your daily public confession of racism or other privilege only takes 5 minutes a day, and you will feel better afterwards, the pleasantly smug sensation of GoodWhiteness.
I wonder, does anyone call it racism when blacks watch an all-white movie and feel excluded? Nor do they ever feel the need to confess their ‘guilt’ and support the movie, and go about asking others to do so. No, they demand it gets pulled and feel righteous for doing so. And the media, schools, etc all support them in this. Who is actually being subjected to institutionalized racism again?
I wonder, does anyone call it racism when blacks watch an all-white movie and feel excluded?
This highlights the underlying theme with these issues: Blacks have no agency, and thus SJWs must do the "feeling" for them; which in a way is the maximum way to be racist.

Great Lakes Rust Belt. There’s thousands of little towns in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan that are 99% white. The cities are, of course, very black. The North retains a very high level of segregation… in part because of the lack of economic growth in rural and agricultural areas.
@Dr. XObviously you're aware that living a happy life in a crime-free, racially homogeneous small town is 100% unacceptably racist and triggering. Check yourself into the nearest diversity re-education camp, stat!
Of course, voluntarily submitting to the diversity racket's thoughtcrime-removal brigade may not be enough to save you from the vibrant cultural enrichment of resettled refugees and illegals transforming your local demographics.
I'm from the same area, and have resigned myself to a probable lifetime of monitoring Ann Corcoran and Refugee Resettlement Watch just to be safe

@Dr. XI graduated high school in 1993 from the largest HS in the British Commonwealth (at least that's what they told us - there were over 3000 students in the three grades, and my grad class was 853.)
Over my three years and dozens of classes, I shared a class with two different black students, maybe six East Indians, one SE Asian, two Chinese and a handful of First Nations (Indians). Nobody from the ME that I remember. It was at least 97% white. In the 2006 census the province (New Brunswick) was 95.7% white. We've had a fairly large influx of Koreans, Sub-Saharan blacks and Syrians over the last 10 years and more so the last two, but its still at least 90% white, and most rural communities would be 99-100% white.

"Leftists stripped the parts they didn’t like from christianity and replaced them, but all the basic dynamics are there."
My dear AndrewR, Leftists replaced core Christianity, which is about the New Covenant of Christ's spiritual redemption of the souls of the Fallen who are the Christian faithful, with the temporal gospel of Communist Liberation Theology.
Liberation Theology is not a spiritual but is instead a temporal philosophy. It's rooted in envy of temporal goods and temporal status and is intended to inflame any and all Have-Nots so that the Left can manipulate the Have-Nots as the Left's useful idiots to gain for Leftists' absolute temporal power over everyone on earth (this is why the Left is so cozy with Islam, which is just another greed-creed based on envy of temporal goods and temporal status; it's also why some Protestant sects emphasize acquisition of temporal goods & status as a manifestation of "grace" - see Joel Osteen/prosperity theology, for one example; Catholicism and other Protestant sects emphasized propriety, piety, and industriousness as ends in themselves which preclude or reduce the frequency of the occasion of sin and promote the flourishing of the Cardinal Virtues.
Combined with its envy, Liberation Theology is also a gospel of vengeance and retribution against anyone whom its "theology" fingers as an "oppressor," just as Islam also heavily emphasizes temporal vengeance and retribution. Liberation Theology's gospel of envy and vengeance pervert the spiritual nature of Christ's "He who is first will later be last" by shifting that teaching from the spiritual dimension to the temporal world - cloaking envy and vengeance in that perversion of Christ's teaching has much more deceitful and powerful appeal than raw Communism's flat-out call for outright revolution to bring about paradise on earth by means of "the dictatorship of the proletariat."
Core Christianity is rooted in the free will of the individual soul to choose to sin or to strive to be in the state of grace (which also thus forms the root of noblesse oblige on the part of the Haves), while Liberation Theology concerns itself with the temporal gain of the mass of the Have-Nots through taking down the Haves "by any means necessary." As with Communism/Leftism, Liberation Theology's goal is to plunder and impoverish everyone except Liberation Theology's big shots - it's the same temporal aim of all Levellers, so that the only people who will have and wield power will be Liberation Theology's (or Communism's, or Socialism's, or Islam's) big shots who hold the power to define "sin" and "virtue" according to their own temporal ambitions. You see Liberation Theology's levelling manifest today in the call for Open Borders and in Christian denominations (as well as in Jewish and even in Islamic organizations) whose phony "charity" organs profit from the lucrative, taxpayer-paid "Refugee" Resettlement Rackets (I believe it was in his book The Death of Common Sense that lawyer-author Philip K. Howard rightly called the Leveller big shots, especially black race hustlers,"Misery Merchants" whose core aim is their own enrichment and grip on power).
For Liberation Theology's big shots Racism (and every other "ism" or "phobia") merely serves as another device of power/control, a device to pit the Have-Nots against the Haves, as a means of the Left's top dogs controlling the Narrative (they'd call it "the discourse") to gain absolute power over all. Liberation Theology is, of course, inimical to our Constitution, to all Enlightenment philosophy, and to core Christianity - the last thing Liberation Theology and all the other Leveller gospels desire is genuine political equality.Replies: @The Last Real Calvinist, @ben tillman

Note that he chooses to dress up as a thief due to the supposed original sins of Whiteness ‘n’ Cultural Appropriation, yet apparently his black female classmate is comfortable enough (within her black body, in the current year) to channel her racial brethren Winnie Mandela. In Jamaica a couple of years ago I had the opportunity to pick up an adorable local. Her sweet prettiness wasn’t on account of any latent whiteness. She had a fully African cuteness that I had hitherto not known existed.
I feel like this would be a good time to confess my shame.
While fu#@%ng this cutie d%%gy style I never once thought about the fact that I, a white man, was screwing over a member of the black community.
I also, to my everlasting shame, treated this college cutie and her friends like adults rather than like 4-year olds as my Northern-Californian 100%-Liberal friend did.
@MosheMick Jagger famously sang 'Black girls just wanna get f**ked all night I don't have that much jam.' A buddy in college who dated one expressed a similar sentiment. Do you concur?
If we ever lost a war, and were literally conquered, the one silver lining in that tornado cloud would be that "journalists" like this Logan Jaffee would have the bullhorn ripped out of their hands, and be utterly beholden to the propaganda of another regime as the price of being informed (reading the news of your city, in Jaffee's case, New York).

I doubt it either way though. It’s been a while since 1972 and if we didn’t start one after 9/11 I doubt we could now. None of the candidates have actually served, and the whole reason they got away with Iraq was they didn’t have the popular discontent a draft would start. Plus the feminists would finally have a counterargument to their oppression olympics nobody could argue with.

Wait until the progressive types find out that Debussy's "Golliwog's Cakewalk" is written to commemorate one of those black dolls. Another cultural icon will be banished from civilization, to be replaced by someone more democratic. Kanye West, for example.
I have a few objects exactly like the above which I inherited, and which I think are rather charming. I also knew a gay black guy who collected the stuff. He thought it was an important part of American history as well as the black experience as well, along with the numerous "coon" songs from the late 19th and early 20th Century which helped define not only ragtime, but jazz, and popular music (including rock) generally.
There are two ironies here. The first is that many of these images, drawings, songs, and vaudeville routines were created by African Americans, like say Bert Williams (actually born in the Bahamas). The second is that by insisting on the suppression of these images, songs, lyrics, etc. progressives in effect erase quite bit of America's African American heritage.

Try getting out there and actually talk to “the current generation”. You think you’re sick of having these issues forced on you? Try living on a college campus as so many of them do. Only in the Progtard catechism. Even then, it’s not slavery per se, but the racism that motivated it. You can tell that racism is the most grave sin because it is the most notorious characteristic of their anti-Christ Hitler, the measure of all things.
They’ve set about re-inventing Christianity, lacking only Christ and his salvific Power (cf. Paul in Romans for a useful summary). In his place is an anti-Christ who tells one what not to do, but not why.
"Among The Syria Campaign’s most prominent vehicles for promoting military intervention is a self-proclaimed "unarmed and impartial" civil defense group known as the White Helmets. Footage of the White Helmets saving civilians trapped in the rubble of buildings bombed by the Syrian government and its Russian ally has become ubiquitous in coverage of the crisis. Having claimed to have saved tens of thousands of lives, the group has become a leading resource for journalists and human rights groups seeking information inside the war theater, from casualty figures to details on the kind of bombs that are falling. But like The Syria Campaign, the White Helmets are anything but impartial. Indeed, the group was founded in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Office of Transitional Initiatives, an explicitly political wing of the agency that has funded efforts at political subversion in Cuba and Venezuela. USAID is the White Helmets’ principal funder, committing at least $23 million to the group since 2013. This money was part of $339.6 million budgeted by USAID for “supporting activities that pursue a peaceful transition to a democratic and stable Syria" -- or establishing a parallel governing structure that could fill the power vacuum once Bashar Al-Assad was removed. Thanks to an aggressive public relations push by The Syria Campaign, the White Helmets have been nominated for the Nobel Prize, and have already been awarded the “alternative Nobel” known as the Right Livelihood Award. (Previous winners include Amy Goodman, Edward Snowden and Israeli nuclear whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu.) At the same time, the White Helmets are pushing for a NFZ in public appearances and on a website created by The Syria Campaign."

Yes. I'm on the outer edge of a metropolitan area, just past where suburbia ends and right where "rural" begins. It's only 20 miles from the black ghetto but it's 99% white. And property is still affordable. As liberal white hipsters gentrify cities, I'm VERY concerned that the black population will be pushed out... plus intentional government policy to re-settle minorities on welfare into white areas. My town is solidly working-class white. It doesn't have the political influence that wealthy white towns have to prevent government re-settlement of welfare blacks here, should that occur in the future.

@Anonymous NephewIt's herehttp://www.jameslafond.com/article.php?id=5295"European-American masculine identity has been specifically under attack since the early 1960s, targeted for extinction at the same time the black family was, and has suffered just as badly—the dupe in every commercial and the villain in every movie and TV show is a white man. The white man is no longer the masculine standard. Yet the white woman remains the feminine standard. Movies are being remade with black actors cast in traditional white hero roles, while no such trend is current for black women replacing whites*. Note that on every news cast I watched this week when visiting family the anchor team was made up of an emasculated black man in a suit—the traditional costume of successful white men—alongside a blonde white woman. Black women, Asian women and black men are relegated to street reporting and white men are only allowed to appear as weather forecasters and sports commentators. This situation is engineered to divide whites apart along gender lines. When you view urban TV news franchises, you are seeing the desired racial caste system that is meant to be kept in place until humanity is reduced to a single mutt breed. "If there was a blond male presenter for every blonde female presenter, TV news would look like a Mel Brooks parody of "if we'd lost the war".* (Must have been pre-Ghostbusters)Replies: @S. anonyia
Yep. And actresses are disproportionately blond/red haired too. To the point where you are probably more likely to see a light skinned black woman/hispanic/Asian in a lead female role than a brunette white woman. Much more noticeable now than in older movies/shows.
@S. anonyiaThe stigma is gone now. Even as recently as the 70s, you didn't typically call a bleach blonde a blonde. Bleach blonde, bottle blonde, or just brunette. Those terms, though, involve shaming women and are therefore absolutely haram. It's clearly in women's best interest to all bleach their hair in a pointless competition to see who can appear fairest.Once you get the dynamic in the example of hair-coloring, you might even notice that the exact same dynamic is at work in lots of other areas. "Freeing" women from the shameful shame of shaming just ends up meaning that all women have to do the previously-shamed activity out of competitive concerns.Of course, once your thinking turns down this dark road, you might one day arrive at the conclusion that norms of female modesty protect females.

My best guess is that two things ruined hip-hop circa 1992.
1) copyright crack-down on sampling
2) drastic increase in marijuana consumption
I appreciate a well-crafted rhyme, whether it’s Emily Dickinson, Dr. Seuss or Ice T. Late-80s/very-early-90s hip-hop exclusively featured quick and clever rhyme schemes with perfect syllabic symmetry. (The narrative element was also much more prominent, but that’s an entirely separate issue.) Once Snoop Dog got popular, rappers started smoking a lot more weed. The beats slowed down, their rhymes got sloppy and off-time. Furthermore, they ceased to tell interesting stories. With the lyrical content diminished, it became readily apparent how bad the “music” was. Now DJs couldn’t write music OR rip off other artists without being sued.
In hindsight, if an entire musical genre can be ruined by dope and theft-prevention, maybe it wasn’t all that great to begin with?

Over my three years and dozens of classes, I shared a class with two different black students, maybe six East Indians, one SE Asian, two Chinese and a handful of First Nations (Indians). Nobody from the ME that I remember. It was at least 97% white. In the 2006 census the province (New Brunswick) was 95.7% white. We’ve had a fairly large influx of Koreans, Sub-Saharan blacks and Syrians over the last 10 years and more so the last two, but its still at least 90% white, and most rural communities would be 99-100% white.
In other words, "we're just not finding enough white racism today, so please help us find obscure relics from the past so that we can re-open old wounds." "We're bringing back racism!"Replies: @Anon7
You have to wonder who needs racism more:
– people (group A) who need to believe in the existence of groups that are inferior, or
– people (group B) who need to cash in on the guilt of (group A) people, or
– people (group C) who need to believe that there is an invisible force preventing them from succeeding in life.
People who say that racism is entrenched in American culture aren’t just whistling Dixie.
@Anon7In this context, I think "C" is operative, an invisible force that prevents people from being successful (I think all of this will be described at length in T. Genius' next book, "There's a Reason Why Ghosts are White").
Look, we're dealing with a situation in which we get unequal outcomes in life. It cannot be due to inheritance, it cannot be due to genes, it cannot be due to family upbringing, it cannot be due to lack of personal responsibility, or personal choices, it cannot be due to luck, it cannot be due to nature -- because, as we know, in a state of nature life is communal, cooperative, and lengthy -- and it cannot be due to culture.
That leaves invisible forces pulling the strings, probably at the behest of rich white guys with all the money stashed in their mattresses.
@Anon7There's a problem of supply and demand, as there are far more victims in Groups B and C than villains in Group A. There also a large group (D) of whites who need to publicly hate racists (sadists) and those who need to self-flagellate for their inherent whiteness (masochists).
@Anon7Perhaps the SJWs and their Black allies are running out of material.
1. The Material. First it was blatant racism that had to be corrected with affirmative action and social sanctions against "hate" speech". The alleged goal was integration. After 50 years and trillions of dollars later (with tens of million of internal refugees ), it is clear that integration failed, and it's the White man's fault. The real problem: if racism disappears, then affirmative action and all of the other "bennies" disappear. "OMG, Whites, please be racist ... please ... please and as long as you want. Don't kill the narrative!"
2. The Ethereal. Well, racism might not be apparent, because it is ethereal. It's institutional. It's in "White privilege". It's in the polluted air that Whites exhale when they breathe and force Blacks to inhale. It's in micro-aggressions such as giving a Black a salutation such as, "Have a good day!" which suggests that Blacks don't have good days and conjures up images of slaves dying on slave ships on the Middle Passage.
3. The Historical. If you are White, you bear the burden of guilt for whatever evil White people anywhere have ever done to People of Color everywhere. It doesn't matter if you recently immigrated from Romania. If you are White, you bear the burden of guilt for your disgusting Whiteness that prevents People of Color from personal and collective accomplishment. It's the legacy thing, you know.
What comes next? I don't know. I'm out of material ... but White Racism appears permanent in their eyes. Perhaps they can think of something to sustain the narrative.

Oh, you’ll feel good, but not as good as you would feel if you paid $1,000 for a ticket to Hamilton, which shows that the United States was founded by singing and dancing black people.
It sounds like an article out of Pravda or some East German publication: “Do you have accidental symbols of capitalism/bourgeois values in your home, comrade? Have you seen any in anyone else’s home? Please write in and tell us about it, and share with the community how you purged it from our beautiful land!”
Seriously watch your backs, boys. It’s getting very dirty and dark.
Love those mammies. If the SJW who owns them wants to rid himself of these so so terrible objet I will happily take them. It’s a win-win. One less micro-aggression for him, one set of marvelous Americana for me. Hey buddy, let the sin fall upon my head.
Human consciousness, perception, language, or “death-drive” (Zizek) are certainly revolutionary in their own way, but they do not cause the sort of fateful rupture in the world that all idealists imagine. The ontological structure of the world does not evolve or undergo revolutions, which is precisely what makes it an ontological structure. Only objects undergo revolutions—and human beings make up just a few billion objects among others, and are not special guests at the table of Being whose absence would simplify the universe immeasurably. Our dignity lies elsewhere than in some wizard-like power to see the world “as” it is. The cosmos is vast, and we are just one chemical in the lab, one species of leopard in the zoo, one atom in the haystack. We are one kind of object among others, and like the others we have our characteristic glories and defects. But this is our own problem and the problem of the objects that live near us. It makes no difference to Being itself whether humans die off or not; the axes of the world will continue their strife long after we have all succeeded in murdering each other. (p. 244)

In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is…in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

It's ironic how so many people who bemoan "the current generation" are themselves beholden to the media narrative that they so abhor. In this context, I think “C” is operative, an invisible force that prevents people from being successful (I think all of this will be described at length in T. Genius’ next book, “There’s a Reason Why Ghosts are White”).
Look, we’re dealing with a situation in which we get unequal outcomes in life. It cannot be due to inheritance, it cannot be due to genes, it cannot be due to family upbringing, it cannot be due to lack of personal responsibility, or personal choices, it cannot be due to luck, it cannot be due to nature — because, as we know, in a state of nature life is communal, cooperative, and lengthy — and it cannot be due to culture.
That leaves invisible forces pulling the strings, probably at the behest of rich white guys with all the money stashed in their mattresses.

Hillary has surrounded herself with a bunch of Neo-Cons as foreign policy advisers and has already talked about imposing a no-fly zone over Syria which would lead to a war with Russia.
Beyond that, she has shown horrific judgement as SofS. She supported the “Arab Spring”, the overthrow of Mubaraq in Egypt and being replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood; supported the overthrow and destabilization of Libya and the killing Gaddafi; supported the civil war in Syria.
Basically she’s a blithering incompetent.
Trump OTOH would rather talk and negotiate better deals for us and he doesn’t see Russia as our mortal enemy as many in the Pentagon and State Department do. He’s also smart enough to realize that a war with Russia would probably collapse our already sickly economy.
That said, if Hillary wins, keep you son’s out of the military, chances are she’ll have them fight and die for nothing.

Earlier keyboard instruments like harpsichords had the colours reversed (I don’t think they had 88 keys, it varied). You still see them with classical music played on period instruments. Maybe the switch to white was because they were somewhat easier to see. (and to see the division between keys).

Yes. I’m on the outer edge of a metropolitan area, just past where suburbia ends and right where “rural” begins. It’s only 20 miles from the black ghetto but it’s 99% white. And property is still affordable. As liberal white hipsters gentrify cities, I’m VERY concerned that the black population will be pushed out… plus intentional government policy to re-settle minorities on welfare into white areas. My town is solidly working-class white. It doesn’t have the political influence that wealthy white towns have to prevent government re-settlement of welfare blacks here, should that occur in the future.

What I bemoan second -most about the impending hurricaine in Florida is that it helps the media re-establish some credibility by reporting on a natural disaster factually, regaining public trust a wee bit.
Hurricane forecasting is a black art, not a science, so the media reports tend to be wrong.
Here in Miami, everything shut down even though we were only supposed to get tropical-storm-force winds (40 to 75 mph) – and, in the end, we didn’t even get that. But TV and radio stations pre-empted all of their regular programming for breathless storm coverage. (Broward was under a hurricane warning. The Miami stations cover the Dade/Broward area, and most of them have a policy that they go to round-the-clock storm coverage during a hurricane warning.)
Store shelves were emptied, gas stations were sucked dry, schools were closed, stores were shuttered – and nothing happened. It rained off and on for a few hours, and that was it.
The next time a storm comes, and the media goes into 24/7 hype mode, a lot of the newcomers down here who’ve never been through a hurricane might say, “Yeah, well, they told us the last storm was going to be bad, and nothing happened. I’m not wasting my time.” And then we’ll get hit dead-on, and these folks will be screwed.
The same thing happened up in New York a few years ago. In 2011, Irene was billed as the Hurricane of the Century – and it wasn’t. A year later, when Sandy rolled around, how many New Yorkers were lulled into a false sense of security?

I thought progressive academicians have already condemned Western literature as a racist object.
Not that I’ve read the genre, but I’ve noticed the uniform whiteness of the covers of romance novels when I encounter displays of them at, say, Sam’s Club, especially in the sub-genre about Amish and Mennonite women, called “bonnet novels” in the trade. How can these writers get away with publishing their fantasies about Amish and Mennonite communities when these communities lack diversity?
@advancedatheistThat sounds like an extraordinary sub-genre, I had no idea it existed. Are the bodices ripped by Amish/Mennonite men, or by tall dark strangers (Mandingo warriors?!)Replies: @syonredux
@advancedatheistRomance novels can be strikingly un-PC in terms of racial/sexual politics. Note, for example, the overwhelming Whiteness of the Alpha male on the cover......Indeed, Viking romance is one of the biggest sub-genres in Romantic fiction:
Slavery is clearly America's Original Sin -- there will be no escaping it -- which is a bit incongruous given the general media hostility, even ridicule, directed at Christianity -- I've always had trouble taking this kind of thing seriously -- 100% seriously, anyway -- but now I think they are serious -- especially some of (((them))) -- it's a kind of war against what vdare.com would call the Traditional American Nation -- but increasing numbers of Whites are recognizing this -- I'm not sure that would or could have happened without the internet.
@Anonymous NephewYep. And actresses are disproportionately blond/red haired too. To the point where you are probably more likely to see a light skinned black woman/hispanic/Asian in a lead female role than a brunette white woman. Much more noticeable now than in older movies/shows.Replies: @Bill
The stigma is gone now. Even as recently as the 70s, you didn’t typically call a bleach blonde a blonde. Bleach blonde, bottle blonde, or just brunette.
Those terms, though, involve shaming women and are therefore absolutely haram. It’s clearly in women’s best interest to all bleach their hair in a pointless competition to see who can appear fairest.
Once you get the dynamic in the example of hair-coloring, you might even notice that the exact same dynamic is at work in lots of other areas. “Freeing” women from the shameful shame of shaming just ends up meaning that all women have to do the previously-shamed activity out of competitive concerns.
Of course, once your thinking turns down this dark road, you might one day arrive at the conclusion that norms of female modesty protect females.
I wonder if supermarkets have started setting up smelling salts to revive anyone who is so unlucky to accidentally wander down either the breakfast (Aunt Jemima, Cream of Wheat chef) or dry goods (Uncle Ben) aisle. Or maybe they'll just settle on flashing red lights and trigger warnings.

Somewhat OT:Here's a story about a racist object in Africa.'Racist' Gandhi statue banished from Ghana university campus https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/oct/06/ghana-academics-petition-removal-mahatma-gandhi-statue-african-heroes
The revolution devours its own.Replies: @neutral, @C. Van Carter
It’s also easy to find sexy nun costumes. Christian complaints will likely be ignored since they are so rarely backed up with arson, assault, and killing.

Have You Encountered a Racist Object? Tell Us About It.

Frankly, it’s ridiculous to pass up a chance at opening your Mercedes’ passenger door for Angelina. Hollywood, you know. What we have here are emerging outlines of a viable horror script. In “Uncle Ben’s Revenge,” all these pickaninny trinkets and watermelon-munching lawn gnomes are animated to vengeful life, to bring a rough kind of justice to privileged, microaggressive, racist white folk. Even the ol’ “King of Koons” himself leaps from static rice labels to kick honky ass. There are many, many layers of meaning possible here, including incisive statements on the nature of white justice on poor, black bodies. And, yes, like the new “Birth of a Nation,” there will be legitimized Justified Rape, long proposed by Cleaver and Fanon, in which the white bitch must sacrifice herself for lost African manhood to be re-conferred into… those… black bodies we were talking about. Sure. As in all these films, emphasis is placed on horrid guilt of white GENTILES. OK, we all know white people will drive across town to a root canal in a burning building before sitting down to a helping of this latest slavery porn. But, hither: It can be advertised in Spanish and South Moluccan, so our nonwhite brothers can join their black allies to overcome and savagely boink the white power structure. And remember: White GENTILES. Don’t want to wake up a Nazi when the smoke clears.
Does anyone want to chime in on the Trump tape? Was this it, or are there other tapes out there? I figure if this was the only tape they would have waited until after the debate to release it. They would have gotten him to deny, and then played the tape right after the debate.
Since they released it today, does this mean there are more to come?
PS. Once again the dems are concerned about discussing the issues, NOT.
@iSteveFanSpeaking as a die-hard Trumpkin, I see this tape as the final nail in the coffin. Virtually everything associated with Rap is racist as hell. Back before MLK, black people thought it was smart to act white.
This can all be seen as a valiant, yet doomed attempt at reverse discourse — reclaiming oppressive language and imagery to subvert their structural disempowerment. It is amazing that this developed as an outsider folk art. Michael Foucault’s name has never been heard in rap lyrics. Or anywhere outside the various outsider ‘studies’ salt mines of academia (Black, Women’s, Gay, etc).
Unfortunately, reverse discourse never operates in a static milieu — and will inevitably invert into — for lack of a better term — discourse. Hence, we find ourself with BLM’s demands that lower class blacks be treated as if they were elite whites — at the same time their cultural self definition has become ‘trap’ — that is, rap with an emphasis on street life, violence, drugs, and crime.
So we are seeing a desperate, bizarre demands that the dominant culture disbelieve their lying eyes. Charlotte has been a turning point. As once again — an ordinary, loving family man is gunned down by racist (black) police — as the reality of a man armed with a stolen automatic handgun — with a life history of constant violence — the last documented instance being a restraining order filed by his wife. An entire generation saw MLK’s civil rights movement inverted. Peaceful protest to the constant chant ‘no justice, no peace’. Black criminal pathology during the protest — as Rayquan Borum gunned down Justin Carr. Jahttps://coedmagazine.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/rayquan-borum-photos.jpg?quality=88
Civil Rights 1.0 … Peaceful black protesters were savagely beaten by white police BLM 1.0 Violent Black protesters (to the disappointment of their leaders) were not savagely beaten by a racially diverse, professional police force, but rather saw statistically probable black on black murder. Which, we can’t forget, was based on a violent (but brain damaged) black felon who was shot while not reading a book but holding a Colt Series 80 Mustang .38 caliber automatic, which shoots a 9mm bullet.
We are getting close to Willie Horton 2.0. If/when BLM protests run amok in an area where anyone cares (not Ferguson). Or one of Obama’s carefully culled ‘non violent’ offenders whose sentence he has commuted goes postal.
But is there really a need for Willie Horton? After all, we have Young Jeezy.
Unfortunately, the failure of blacks in the US to adapt to post industrial culture can’t be reversed by linguistic jujitsu. Don’t bring Michael Foucault to a gunfight.

Does anyone want to chime in on the Trump tape? Was this it, or are there other tapes out there? I figure if this was the only tape they would have waited until after the debate to release it. They would have gotten him to deny, and then played the tape right after the debate.
Since they released it today, does this mean there are more to come?

Speaking as a die-hard Trumpkin, I see this tape as the final nail in the coffin. The moderators will hit him hard about this tape, and he will be defensive, the second debate too will go to Hillary. He’s trailing her by about 3 to 5 points nationally, this will extend her lead. I think Trump is finished, unfortunately. It is so hard to accept it though.

I prefer to bask in the warm glow of my explicit bias when I ask the question, “Where’s the white girl that Luke Cage is married to in the comic books?”!

The United States inherited the affliction of slavery from its forbears England, Spain, etc. It’s the governments and investors that sponsored the slave trade from the 15th century onward that are responsible for the slavery of Africans in the “New World.” The “original sin” is with the descendants of those influential Europeans who sponsored that trade.

“Leftists stripped the parts they didn’t like from christianity and replaced them, but all the basic dynamics are there.”
My dear AndrewR, Leftists replaced core Christianity, which is about the New Covenant of Christ’s spiritual redemption of the souls of the Fallen who are the Christian faithful, with the temporal gospel of Communist Liberation Theology.
Liberation Theology is not a spiritual but is instead a temporal philosophy. It’s rooted in envy of temporal goods and temporal status and is intended to inflame any and all Have-Nots so that the Left can manipulate the Have-Nots as the Left’s useful idiots to gain for Leftists’ absolute temporal power over everyone on earth (this is why the Left is so cozy with Islam, which is just another greed-creed based on envy of temporal goods and temporal status; it’s also why some Protestant sects emphasize acquisition of temporal goods & status as a manifestation of “grace” – see Joel Osteen/prosperity theology, for one example; Catholicism and other Protestant sects emphasized propriety, piety, and industriousness as ends in themselves which preclude or reduce the frequency of the occasion of sin and promote the flourishing of the Cardinal Virtues.
Combined with its envy, Liberation Theology is also a gospel of vengeance and retribution against anyone whom its “theology” fingers as an “oppressor,” just as Islam also heavily emphasizes temporal vengeance and retribution. Liberation Theology’s gospel of envy and vengeance pervert the spiritual nature of Christ’s “He who is first will later be last” by shifting that teaching from the spiritual dimension to the temporal world – cloaking envy and vengeance in that perversion of Christ’s teaching has much more deceitful and powerful appeal than raw Communism’s flat-out call for outright revolution to bring about paradise on earth by means of “the dictatorship of the proletariat.”
Core Christianity is rooted in the free will of the individual soul to choose to sin or to strive to be in the state of grace (which also thus forms the root of noblesse oblige on the part of the Haves), while Liberation Theology concerns itself with the temporal gain of the mass of the Have-Nots through taking down the Haves “by any means necessary.” As with Communism/Leftism, Liberation Theology’s goal is to plunder and impoverish everyone except Liberation Theology’s big shots – it’s the same temporal aim of all Levellers, so that the only people who will have and wield power will be Liberation Theology’s (or Communism’s, or Socialism’s, or Islam’s) big shots who hold the power to define “sin” and “virtue” according to their own temporal ambitions. You see Liberation Theology’s levelling manifest today in the call for Open Borders and in Christian denominations (as well as in Jewish and even in Islamic organizations) whose phony “charity” organs profit from the lucrative, taxpayer-paid “Refugee” Resettlement Rackets (I believe it was in his book The Death of Common Sense that lawyer-author Philip K. Howard rightly called the Leveller big shots, especially black race hustlers,”Misery Merchants” whose core aim is their own enrichment and grip on power).
For Liberation Theology’s big shots Racism (and every other “ism” or “phobia”) merely serves as another device of power/control, a device to pit the Have-Nots against the Haves, as a means of the Left’s top dogs controlling the Narrative (they’d call it “the discourse”) to gain absolute power over all. Liberation Theology is, of course, inimical to our Constitution, to all Enlightenment philosophy, and to core Christianity – the last thing Liberation Theology and all the other Leveller gospels desire is genuine political equality.

Thank you for your excellent comment. You make a good case, but I wonder if you're going deeply enough into the ancient, commonplace, banal nature of the leftists' heresy.I am not so sure that temporal gain is the primary force driving these heretics. Yes, some are like this, but I think many are 'believers' who would do their nefarious work for free. The original sin is pride, manifest over and over in the desire to usurp God and take on the role of Author and Savior. The urge to create utopia, to self-enable the restoration of Eden, and thereby to 'save' humanity is behind most of the leftist/liberation theology heresy. Just as ancient men tried to build the Tower of Babel to ascend to the heavens and flaunt their power, so do contemporary leftists, via open borders and refugee immigration and giveaways to the indolent, try to build their materialist utopia. Some call this immantizing the eschaton, or other fancy names, but in the end it's just pride . . . .

@The most deplorable oneGet off your butt (well not literally) and become a trusted wikipedia editor with 1000+ positive non-controversial edits. Then you end up with a lot more freedom to edit controversial articles and protect those edits from ideological opponents. You don't have to make it a big chore, just create an account not linked to your name and start by correcting typos when you see them. Over a year or two just typo edits really add up. Then add to articles on areas you know well but not controversial. So Steve for instance could write about golf courses and easily rack up 50 accepted edits by just adding a couple facts to 25 articles using the same acceptable outside source.By and large wikipedia power editors are young nerdy white and asian males and overall to the right and less PC than the MSM and mainstream culture. There are a number of excellent articles full of hatefacts, like the Race and IQ article.Given that wikipedia is probably the most common google search result for a billion searches, the work you do there will have positive impact.Replies: @Charles Erwin Wilson
Great advice, and just when I was wishing you had looked back on your way out!
BBC news this am is that the White Helmets are Nobel favourites (and that Putin is 500-1). Google news for White Helmets is overwhelmingly Nobel-related.(I have no idea how much of these people's work is real and how much is PR spin. But people who are prepared to fund a jihadi civil war surely won't quibble at mere lying, when a 'greater cause' is at stake. Syria's not exactly short of rubble to dig into with a hat on, while a child sits by with his head in his hands). Another example of “the fix is in” and BTW Obama has won a Nobel Peace Prize. Obama, bringer of peace (and light), but with the blood of hundreds of thousands on his head. Right. There are a lot of young people like yours out there. That’s why Hillary has such a problem with Millennials in spite of the stereotype that they’re all a bunch of spirit animals looking for their safe spaces.
Sucker punching Trump with the women issue is very calculated, not a mistake. It may seem from the standpoint of objective thinking that the Dems made a horrible mistake to have Machado wagging her morality finger at Trump with her background (she’s even tied to attempted murder!), but in truth the Dems have demonstrated that they will willfully ignore blatantly horrific things- Clinton’s record on emails and Benghazi, people disappearing/mysteriously dying who question the Clintons, etc. when it comes to a candidate who supports the narrative and liberal agenda. So these things make little difference to them, if it smears Trump.
Take a thing of little significance (or make something up out of thin air from distortion), exaggerate it’s significance, and let it reverb in the echo chamber. This is their usual strategy when it comes to Trump. In truth, it would not be significant to the fate of the US and its populace that Trump, who was responsible for the business of the Miss Universe candidates, 20 years ago (!), called one who ballooned up by 50% “Miss Piggy”. A bit rude way of addressing the issue perhaps, but probably most people on the planet have said something rude to an associate or underling at some point. But the press keeps pushing Miss Piggy comments to the forefront because let’s face it, many housefraus in the US are a bit sensitive about their weight, and can be triggered over a microagression about it.
Secondly, it creates a situation for Trump where he feels he has to be milquetoast in debating Hillary or commenting on her, because anything he says, regardless of even just sticking to her horrible political record, is going to get labeled as more verbal abuse of women.
The latest Billy Bush “outrage” is essentially in the same vein as Machado. It is a bit more crude, though 11 years ago, and Trump was no where near a political office, either. What’s next, his fart jokes from 2nd grade? Where is the outrage over what Hillary has said before about Jews, blacks, etc? That’s a heck of a lot more directly against the PC rules than what Trump said, yet complete media blackout.
And where is the media outrage over her background in the Clinton scandals, her recent record in politics over Benghazi, emails, etc? These should be a lot more disturbing to anyone with an ounce of sense in their head than whether Trump engaged in some locker room talk over a decade ago, because they represent major gross neglect and misbehavior while in office. And that’s not even mentioning the blatant insanity of open borders which she supports and Trump is against. Voting for Trump instead of Hillary seems the obvious choice for anyone who actually cares about the fate of their country, the future of their children and their own future. But emotion trumps rational thinking every time in keeping the useful idiots on the left in line behind the liberal agenda.

Perhaps the SJWs and their Black allies are running out of material.
1. The Material. First it was blatant racism that had to be corrected with affirmative action and social sanctions against “hate” speech”. The alleged goal was integration. After 50 years and trillions of dollars later (with tens of million of internal refugees ), it is clear that integration failed, and it’s the White man’s fault. The real problem: if racism disappears, then affirmative action and all of the other “bennies” disappear. “OMG, Whites, please be racist … please … please and as long as you want. Don’t kill the narrative!”
2. The Ethereal. Well, racism might not be apparent, because it is ethereal. It’s institutional. It’s in “White privilege”. It’s in the polluted air that Whites exhale when they breathe and force Blacks to inhale. It’s in micro-aggressions such as giving a Black a salutation such as, “Have a good day!” which suggests that Blacks don’t have good days and conjures up images of slaves dying on slave ships on the Middle Passage.
3. The Historical. If you are White, you bear the burden of guilt for whatever evil White people anywhere have ever done to People of Color everywhere. It doesn’t matter if you recently immigrated from Romania. If you are White, you bear the burden of guilt for your disgusting Whiteness that prevents People of Color from personal and collective accomplishment. It’s the legacy thing, you know.
What comes next? I don’t know. I’m out of material … but White Racism appears permanent in their eyes. Perhaps they can think of something to sustain the narrative.
I’m surprised someone didn’t bring up Oreo cookies. I mean, here you have your white getting around on the backs of two blacks. As though that weren’t racist enough, when it’s taken apart it’s the white that’s valued and often the blacks are discarded as though they didn’t matter. But if the blacks are used, they are usually dipped in white privilege. Jeeheezuz, could it get any worse?

Well, there was the band Salt-N-Pepa.
Haaa, that’s hilarious. The nebbish little SJWs at the NYT who write articles about “racist objects” would wet themselves if they came to my small, 99% white, working-class town. Here, white people still put coal-black lawn jockeys with big red painted lips in their front yards.

The enterprising SJW could surely wangle, er, negotiate some college credit for all that selective research. Given all the Down With The Patriarchy and the Evil YT flames being fanned by the usual suspects, there may even be some stipend or scholarship money available from Uncle Georgie.
Or should a piano have 50% white and 50% black keys to achieve “harmony between ebony and ivory?”
keys, the result sounds stereotypically Chinese! Blatant appropriation.
Have Steve and his “white” readers done their daily public confession of racism yet today? Consider this your reminder.

I live in New Jersey, where there has been a strong movement for parents to remove their children from Common Core tests.
This movement bought a lot of television advertisements — broadcast right before the tests — that encourage parents to do so. These advertisements (I perceive) disproportionately feature Black actors.
Black children score relatively low on these tests, and therefore many Black parents might be receptive to calls for their children to boycott the tests.
I never have seen any discussion of this television-advertising phenomenon.

My favorite racist object is the “white courtesy phones” at airports. As in, “Steve Sailer, please pick up the white courtesy phone.”
Why “white courtesy”? As though blacks can’t be courteous? That’s raciss.
It’s racist that the order in which the major and minor keys are usually listed starts with the all-white keys of C major and A minor. In a just society, the first keys would be B major and G# minor.

Get off your butt (well not literally) and become a trusted wikipedia editor with 1000+ positive non-controversial edits. Then you end up with a lot more freedom to edit controversial articles and protect those edits from ideological opponents.
You don’t have to make it a big chore, just create an account not linked to your name and start by correcting typos when you see them. Over a year or two just typo edits really add up. Then add to articles on areas you know well but not controversial. So Steve for instance could write about golf courses and easily rack up 50 accepted edits by just adding a couple facts to 25 articles using the same acceptable outside source.
By and large wikipedia power editors are young nerdy white and asian males and overall to the right and less PC than the MSM and mainstream culture. There are a number of excellent articles full of hatefacts, like the Race and IQ article.
Given that wikipedia is probably the most common google search result for a billion searches, the work you do there will have positive impact.
Well, there was this brick . . .
in western countries almost daily you see advertisement posters which are racist in terms of the ideal demographic composition they show, which is 45% west african, 50% white and 5% female east asian (the latter probably so that white males have the feeling to get at least a little bit of concern).

I thought Sambo was an Indian? He had to be, since I remember it was about some tiger chasing Sambo’s ass around for his clothes. Ain’t no damned tigers in Africa. How did African Americans get their noses in the middle of that story? I remember liking that story as a kid, and I just thought of it as an exotic story. I didn’t give Sambo any thought as to his race, anymore than I’d give thought to the race of the Green Eggs and Ham dude.

doesn't have a very good picture of the little clinging black blowup plastic doll called Dakko-chan (a 1960 fad in Japan). Better pictures:

I saw those in a downmarket Hong Kong toy store as recently as 1996 and earlier, too, in other places in Asia. Didn’t know they were called that or that they were Japanese.
Asia also had Darkie Brand toothpaste, which was market dominant in the ’80s. They changed the name to Darlie when a visiting black congressman from America noticed and created a ruckus.
http://newsone.com/2853883/darkie-darlie-toothpaste-colgate/
They went on labeling it as Dark Person Toothpaste in Chinese. As far as I know, that’s still the name.
The Chinese are equal opportunity, though. There is a ripoff brand labeled White Men Toothpaste in English.

“European-American masculine identity has been specifically under attack since the early 1960s, targeted for extinction at the same time the black family was, and has suffered just as badly—the dupe in every commercial and the villain in every movie and TV show is a white man. “
If there was a blond male presenter for every blonde female presenter, TV news would look like a Mel Brooks parody of “if we’d lost the war”.

I just remembered the rest of Little Black Sambo! The tiger shook him down for his clothes, so he went back into the jungle, found the tiger, gave him some shit talk until the tiger started chasing him in a circle. Sambo ran so fast the tiger melted into butter. Sambo got his clothes back and poured the tiger butter on his mom’s pancakes stacked five feet high!
What the hell’s wrong with that story? It’s a great kid’s story. Sambo won the fucking day!
Us white folks should just take the damned story for ourselves. Make him white. Call him Little Pink Hambo. Change the tiger to a Grizzly Bear, pancakes for everyone, and FUCK the NAACP!

Great Lakes Rust Belt. There’s thousands of little towns in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan that are 99% white. The cities are, of course, very black. The North retains a very high level of segregation… in part because of the lack of economic growth in rural and agricultural areas.
Of course, voluntarily submitting to the diversity racket's thoughtcrime-removal brigade may not be enough to save you from the vibrant cultural enrichment of resettled refugees and illegals transforming your local demographics.

We've had a fairly large influx of Koreans, Sub-Saharan blacks and Syrians over the last 10 years and more so the last two, but its still at least 90% white, and most rural communities would be 99-100% white.

Leftists stripped the parts they didn’t like from christianity and replaced them, but all the basic dynamics are there.

It’s ironic how so many people who bemoan “the current generation” are themselves beholden to the media narrative that they so abhor. Try getting out there and actually talk to “the current generation”. You think you’re sick of having these issues forced on you? Try living on a college campus as so many of them do. Young people have their own social outlets where they operate and vent their own opposition to this nonsense with their own clever cynicism. Not only do these young people have to suffer the narratives first-hand, but they also have your ignorant fingers pointed at them for being responsible for it.

Depending on how political winds blow in near future, it’s possible that these sorts of objects could be hard to come by. So I’d start collecting now.

There is a temptation to mock the hateful bastids who push this stuff but it is a temptation that must be resisted. Such authors really do despise your very existence and Carlos Slim’s sliming of whitey truly is malum in se

As liberal white hipsters gentrify cities, I’m VERY concerned that the black population will be pushed out… plus intentional government policy to re-settle minorities on welfare into white areas.
And if you play with only the black
keys, the result sounds stereotypically Chinese! Blatant appropriation.

Original Sin is escaped, very easily and permanently, by Baptism. So, no, our established church shares little or nothing in common with Christianity.

So true, Lot. I feel better already.
If they freely published comments after asking this question, the mask would be off, they’d learn that a *lot* of their white and Asian readers have indeed “encountered racist objects” and those encounters tend to be very unpleasant.
Four words, people: Always trust the CGI.
Even if CGI isn’t word.

PS. Once again the dems are concerned about discussing the issues, NOT.
Thats all folks.

Cultural appropriation = racism

Mick Jagger famously sang ‘Black girls just wanna get f**ked all night I don’t have that much jam.’ A buddy in college who dated one expressed a similar sentiment. Do you concur?
Any competent harmonist could tell you how racial overtones work.
That sounds like an extraordinary sub-genre, I had no idea it existed. Are the bodices ripped by Amish/Mennonite men, or by tall dark strangers (Mandingo warriors?!)
Thank you for your excellent comment. You make a good case, but I wonder if you’re going deeply enough into the ancient, commonplace, banal nature of the leftists’ heresy.
I am not so sure that temporal gain is the primary force driving these heretics. Yes, some are like this, but I think many are ‘believers’ who would do their nefarious work for free.
The original sin is pride, manifest over and over in the desire to usurp God and take on the role of Author and Savior.
The urge to create utopia, to self-enable the restoration of Eden, and thereby to ‘save’ humanity is behind most of the leftist/liberation theology heresy. Just as ancient men tried to build the Tower of Babel to ascend to the heavens and flaunt their power, so do contemporary leftists, via open borders and refugee immigration and giveaways to the indolent, try to build their materialist utopia.
Some call this immantizing the eschaton, or other fancy names, but in the end it’s just pride . . . .

“You know your children must have seen them! You don’t want them to be the ones who tell us!”
And most of those folks practiced premigeniture which narrows the culprits down further.
“Actually, my children (as well as their peers, naturally) are millenials (1984 or later) and none of them subscribe to this nonsense.”
Romance novels can be strikingly un-PC in terms of racial/sexual politics. Note, for example, the overwhelming Whiteness of the Alpha male on the cover……Indeed, Viking romance is one of the biggest sub-genres in Romantic fiction:

Judging by the covers, the Alpha studs in the books are Amish/Mennonite men.

American negroes are by far the most race-obsessed people I’ve ever met. Everything is for them filtered through the matrix of their blackness.
Everything went to the son with the shortest gestation?
The Amish are cute, and politically inconsequential, so they get a pass. Kind of like historic preservationists, or latinos/as, or Vermont.

Such “free will” is obviously impossible. Choice requires decisionmaking criteria, and those criteria (ultimately) cannot be chosen.
Illusory “free will” is not the bais of Christianity.
Don’t forget the ghastly horrors of Tintin in the Congo, and of course that perennial favorite Little Black Sambo. Mmm, pancakes.

You have to be living in a cave if you didn’t know that loving Palestine is a Social Justice Warrior cause. Have you forgotten that Palestinians are Muslims and Liberals love Muslims because they practice a religion of peace. Palestinians don’t belong to that racist White supremacist patriarchy religion called Christianity that is responsible for The Crusades and abortion clinic bombings.
