Yesterday, we heard from the New York Times about how awesome it is that Toronto’s all-conquering Diverse New People are rejecting Canada’s traditional white-bread sport of hockey for basketball. Today, at a victory ceremony for its basketball franchise, Toronto got to enjoy its new vibrant American-style culture:

Toronto’s official motto, added to the new coat of arms adopted in 1998, is, from the wit and wisdom of Dan Quayle, “Diversity Our Strength.”

I think you mean "It’s almost as if having the gun laws of Japan doesn’t result in Japanese levels of peace."

Japanese murder rates are not low because of Japanese gun laws. Japanese murder rates are low because of who lives in Japan.

  3. I’ve just got to say that as a Canadian, this has been a remarkable Monday for news. English-speaking Canada is on this multicultural path while Quebec took a big leap along another path. I just watched a hostile interview with a lawyer named Catherine McKenzie. She’s launching an appeal of the new Quebec law on secularism. The Radio-Canada (the French language state broadcaster) hostess asked “who’s funding you?”, “you’re clients are Muslims living in Ontario, how does this effect them?” etc. In another discussion, everyone had a laugh when a guest said “in the rest of Canada, multiculturalism is practically the religion”.

She then had on a sovereignist law professor for a much more friendly chat. Note the Hindu swastika behind her. I LOL’d.

It always amazed me that St Louis even has a hockey team, let alone a successful one. Basketball bombed there, the Hawks and Spirits having disappeared decades ago. (Though the Spirits are still making gobs of money through their savvy buyout deal.)

  6. This Canadian is sick of it all..Our once beautiful country is lost. Lost to the immigrant hordes, the filth of the Africa, India, Pakistan, South East Asia and the scum of the Carribean As millions poured into downtown Toronto to worship their favorite negroes, multiple shots rang out . It looks like united nations right now… Yep, 4 people shot and 4 people stabbed. Victory nite saw many police cruisers damaged and transit buses vandalized..Ironic, just moments before I heard this, the negro loving press said the crowd was 3x bigger than Trumps Inauguration. Funny…. I don’t recall any shots ringing out or people being stabbed at that event..
As I watched the news report on the shootings and stabbings.. No report on the race of the shooters and knifers or their victims. If they were white we would know in a fucking heartbeat!!! But as history proves in Toronto the blacks and Indians do the most shootings and the middle easterners do the stabbings The news crews couldn’t seem to find a white person to interview. Even just regular news on any given day the street interviews are with non whites .. It just sickening.
It will be intersting to see how the events wind down today and what happens as the alcohol and drugs flow later this evening in the downtown core and in ghetto areas across the city. I really dont give a shit one way or the other. Its just the filth of humanity proving to all of us just how right we are. I cant imagine if the GS Warriors had won…how many would be dead already. Or if they would have rioted in Toronto if they lost a game 7 at home. Negro worship can get you dead in a diverse situation.
Havent heard of any deaths regarding the St.Louis Blues Stanley Cup win. It was their first championship as well. Go figure. Is it demographics or the type of people who worship their teams.??? I look forward to NHL fall training and a new season of white sport.

At least four people were taken to hospital yesterday after two stabbing incidents in and around the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, according to police.

  27. Someone in the previous Toronto thread made an interesting point – blacks and to a lesser extent South Asians are becoming the Canadian Anglophones’ new pets. Quebeckers used to be our pets that we spent a great deal of time placating, but after more than 50 years of handouts, affirmative action and bending over backwards for these people without a hint of gratitude in return, we’ve moved on. We’d rather give the token French-speaking corporate job to a jovial black woman from Martinique or a flashy dude from Senegal rather than the sourpuss Marie from Chicoutimi.

Remember that the Quebecois were the first people to play the identity politics game against us.

Everyone would be better off if Quebec separated, so just separate already. Guarantee us free passage without a hassle to the Maritimes, a workable free trade agreement and that you’ll stop persecuting the Anglophone communities in west Montreal. That’s all we ask.

I thought President Clinton warned Quebec that if they voted for independence they might not get included in the Canada/USA free trade deal. I don't know if that had an effect on their vote, but I thought it was bad form.
    , @Niccolo Salo
"Someone in the previous Toronto thread made an interesting point – blacks and to a lesser extent South Asians are becoming the Canadian Anglophones’ new pets. "

For those of us who grew up in Southern Ontario this is not news. The Anglos would hang out with their token black friend or incoming Punjabis and East Asians while first generation continental Europeans hung out with their own groups, made easier by those that went to Catholic schools, which in Ontario have been publicly funded since the middle of that decade.

So you end up with this interesting and unique situation in which those of British stock are closer to Caribbean Blacks, subcons and assimilated East Asians while Continental Europeans and those from the Levant (Christian) and Iran form a separate group, with incoming Chinese forming their own massive group separate from already-assimilated Chinese.

Add to this the huge number of Flips, blacks from Africa, and assorted Muslims from everywhere and you will quickly lose track of the number of groups and subgroups that have been formed on the fly.

A wild example is the United Nations Gang out in British Columbia. They are the only multiethnic and multiracial street gang/criminal organized group that I can think of in North America. They started out by way of an alliance between small town guys of British extraction and Punjabi Sikh drug dealers from Surrey on the coast near Vancouver.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_(gang)

The presence of Italians, Portuguese, Poles, and other continental Europeans in Canada (not including the founding French or the Ukes that pre-date WW2) was simply due to Canada being on the winning side of the Second World War. Otherwise the immigrant populations would have almost entirely been from former parts of the British Empire.

Canadian Anglo Multiculturalism is the logical endpoint of British Imperium and that country is a different beast from that of the USA, despite living in its shadow and despite now adopting much of its culture and hilariously, its historical baggage (such as BLM).
    , @Thea
This experience should have inoculated Canadians. Instead liberal white Anglo Canadians are perhaps the most sanctimonious of all.

Why is Canada's reference point always the U.S.? (Don't answer, I already know)

Maybe you should look up Jamaica's gun crime rate, since lots of Jamaicans wind up in Toronto. That would seem to be a helluva lot more relevant than bleating about gang-bangers in Baltimore, since I can safely say none of them will emigrate to Canada.
    , @David
You can't break out of the belief that Canada is Good and America is Bad. That's what is really informing your opinion. It's okay, I used to live there too and even the strongest minds are overcome by nonstop repetition of that same basic idea. The moral, idealistic Canadian culture is valiantly resisting corruption from the south. It's the only paradigm Canadians can agree on.

Founded by a Jewish insurance magnate if I remember correctly.

FWIW, and to date myself appallingly, I was there when another expansion team of that era won the Stanley Cup in the '70s. Lively to the point of chaos but peaceful. Some property damage but I don't recall any shootings etc.

That team was founded by Chabad Lubavitch supporter Ed Snider, who was also a big Alisa Rosenbaum fan.

There was some BIG SNIT between Ayn Rand Institute founder Lenny Peikoff and others--probably over country club enrollment--so then another group, the Atlas Institute, was founded to compete by the mickly named David Kelley (who, originating from Shaker Heights was probably also a tribesman). My recollection is that Ed went with the new guys.

But it was a long time ago. And anyway:

Obviously Toronto - although a Native word retained by the insidious white settlers of the region to show their mastery over the original inhabitants - needs to be renamed to reflect its new and more vibrant culture and who holds the whip hand now. Is "North Chicago" taken?

They should let a corporate sponsor rename Toronto, the same way they do with stadiums now. Let Toronto be called Ashley Madison City and then Uber City or Amazon City when the former company runs into financial trouble.

  34. @Reg Cæsar
It always amazed me that St Louis even has a hockey team, let alone a successful one. Basketball bombed there, the Hawks and Spirits having disappeared decades ago. (Though the Spirits are still making gobs of money through their savvy buyout deal.)

The Blues even have a city native on the squad, a Pete Rose of the ice. They also have more Canadians than the Canadiens, Leafs, or Canucks.

St Louis is the best baseball city, I dare say even better than Cincinnati or Baltimore. For much of the 20th century, it was also America's best city for soccer:

Soccer in St. Louis has a rich history

June 29, 1950: The U.S. World Cup team pulls off the biggest soccer upset of all time

Bezos’s Kindle Fire “corrected” Canadiens to Canadians in that comment, but I caught it just in time. Doesn’t Jeff know his city is the first in the US to win a Stanley Cup, in 1917? He should be more rink-aware.

Even more telling, his device usually corrects his name to Besos, or “kisses” in his stepfather’s tongue. But when I added the possessive, it was changed to Jesus’s.

Is Jeff getting a big head on him, or what?

(And why was stepfather’s changed to stranger’s?)

This was done deliberately by the federal Liberal party in 1967 to get votes. If anybody is interested an excellent book about Canada is THE PATRIOT GAME written by Peter Brimlow of VDARE fame. Another great book is THE TROUBLE WITH CANADA by William Gardner.

Americans may not care about the great “white” north but a lot of bad political ideas that affect them actually had their origins in Canada.

    The rape angle is interesting.

The minoritarian, anti-freedom-of-association, nation of immigrants, open-borders ideology is the ideology of the rapist--"you can't say no!"

"How dare you keep me out of your country club!"
"You must let me into Harvard!"
"You must let me into your neighborhood!"
    "You have to hire me!"
"You must bake me a cake!"
"You must let me into your nation!"

This latest "How dare you even think about putting up a wall" is the moral equivalent of "you aren't allowed to put on panties ... makes my job a bit harder"

You can not say no! You must let me in!

Of course, to have an actual civilization, saying "no" and denying access is the sine qua non. Not just to replace rape and random hookups with marriage but for building anything. Minoritarianism is the ideology of rape and civilizational destruction.

    ~~

I hate to go all Whiskey but at the intellectual level it's pretty weird to see white women sputtering on about "Me Too", while at the same time expousing an openly pro-rape ideology... particularly to welcome actual rapists into their midst.

I put that mostly down to women being conformists--conforming to the dominant minoritarian ideology, spewed by Hollyweird, academia, media, schools. But it's still weird when the ideology is not just pro-rape, but specific "hey let's wave those rapists on in here".

    ~

And again, i'm just disgusted by the the lack of "conservative" politicians willing to actually take on the minoritarian/leftist line directly.

How much clearer would our politics be, how much more successful would we be, if we had conservative pols willing to say all this "you can't say no!" stuff from "you must bake me a cake!" to "you must hire me!" to "you must let me into your nation!" is the ideology of the rapist?

Someone in the previous Toronto thread made an interesting point - blacks and to a lesser extent South Asians are becoming the Canadian Anglophones' new pets. Quebeckers used to be our pets that we spent a great deal of time placating, but after more than 50 years of handouts, affirmative action and bending over backwards for these people without a hint of gratitude in return, we've moved on. We'd rather give the token French-speaking corporate job to a jovial black woman from Martinique or a flashy dude from Senegal rather than the sourpuss Marie from Chicoutimi.

Remember that the Quebecois were the first people to play the identity politics game against us.

Everyone would be better off if Quebec separated, so just separate already. Guarantee us free passage without a hassle to the Maritimes, a workable free trade agreement and that you'll stop persecuting the Anglophone communities in west Montreal. That's all we ask.

“Someone in the previous Toronto thread made an interesting point – blacks and to a lesser extent South Asians are becoming the Canadian Anglophones’ new pets. ”

  81. @JohnnyD
Don't worry guys, Prime Minster Trudeau will help the situation by dressing up as a gang-banger!

I’m more concerned that Trudeau might dress up FOR a gangbanger, if you know what I mean. Shades of Macron posing like a little faggot with his muscular shirtless savage buddies.

  82. The only reason why “diversity is a strength” in Ontario was that it was lucky enough to skim the relative cream off the global crop with the initial establishment of beachheads in the 1960s and 1970s.

At 5% in the last census (and likely closer to 6% today), the Chinese form the largest minority population in Canada and they tend to share a largely urbane, sophisticated, educated background. The post-Maoist cultural aridness in China coupled with the attenuated connection to the traditional Chinese reverence for high institutions means they do their best to adopt the public customs of their new home. Hence, they tend to value education, industriousness, secularity, celebrate Western holidays and even adopt Western given names. As a result, they tend to be viewed overwhelming favourably by Western whites. This cultural comparability is reflected in high inter-marriage rates. I came across an old list on Reddit of three to four dozen individuals associated with the white identitarian right (including Charles Murray and John Derbyshire) with Far Eastern mistresses, wives, and even children. Hence, they are definitely not a ghetto-ized population.

Indo-Canadians come in second place. As the “land of a thousand tongues”, the Indian sub-continent certainly has a quite diverse selection of peoples to choose from. Punjabi Sikhs are the largest group within this category, making up only 1.7% of Indians but over ⅓ of Indo-Canadians! In fact, outside of India, Canada has the largest Sikh population (in raw numbers and percentage wise) in the world. There are more Sikh Indi-Canadians than Hindu Indo-Canadians with the remainder filled by other religions and seculars. I call the Sikhs the Mormons of India. They are both relatively new sects with a reputation for quirky clothing that have histories of persecution. For the later reason, both Mormons and Sikhs tend to behave better and adapt good civic values. On the one hand, industriousness and education and on the other, charitably and neighborliness (as opposed to clannish, cousin-marrying Pakistanis). The fact that they were the British Raj’s favourites probably accounts for why the Canadian points system disproportionately favoured them.

Canada, of course, has a substantial amount of less amiable groups but there aren’t as many “ghetto groups”.

    • Replies: @BengaliCanadianDude
What!? A somewhat reasonable appraisal of the different ethnic groups in Canada. It's new to me
    , @Tony
No way are the Sikhs like the Mormons. There is a gang problem with the Sikhs in Canada. The Sikhs in India are known as a warrior caste. They make up a large percentage of the military as well as police. Mormons on the other hand have a low crime rate and arent known to be warlike.

No you misread me. I know all of us are fallen, imperfect and selfish creatures. I just know too that modern America is dotted with cultural Chernobyls, including Hollywood and Manhattan. That America spews out trash culture to the world is undeniable. Saying so is not an indictment of the American citizens who live even closer to the centre of the fallout zone.

The Spirits of St Louis went way beyond the Milwaukee Brewers as the most alcoholic team name ever. Unless you include Northern Ireland's Lisburn Distillery.

The name honors Charles Lindbergh-- a teetotaler. So did the Lone Eagle bar at MSP's Lindbergh Terminal.

  88. Toronto’s official motto, added to the new coat of arms adopted in 1998, is, from the wit and wisdom of Dan Quayle, “Diversity Our Strength.”

See how they lay the groundwork? The Left has been working up to the present moment of Brown Canada (and Brown America) for a long time. It must have been frustrating for Leftists to have endured generations of white people who refused to bow down and vote properly.

  91. Anonymous[336] • Disclaimer says:

When something is made holy or iconic, all sides want to claim it. Among Europeans, Jesus became the One to worship, so all sides claimed God and Jesus were on their side.
We see this phenom with the rise homos. While some nations resist Globo-Homo, others compete to appropriate it as their thing: “We are MORE globo-homo than you.” It’s a homo-tug-of-war. Even Trump celebrates ‘gay pride’ month.

And because of the spread of MLK and Mandela cults and black popularity in sports/rap, we have various groups trying to claim holy and/or cool blackness as their own thing.

The big irony of multi-culturalism claiming blackness as its own is that it is imitating whiteness. After all, white people came up with all these modern sports, and white nations allowed blacks to rise to the top in sports. It wasn’t African nations that disseminated black sports prowess around the world. It was white nations like US, Canada, and UK. (And even African athletes often trained in the West.)
Long before Muslims and Asians came to Canada, white Canadians imported Jamaicans and other blacks, allowing them to rise to prominence esp in sports. And before mass non-white immigration to the US, white America had already accepted black athletes as America’s champions and cheered for them on the world stage, even against European whites. Long before multi-culti, white Americans were supposed to be proud that Joe Louis defeated Max Schmeling or how black runners and boxers were bringing home the medals. Prior to 1965 immigration act, it was a common sight to see white Americans cheering for black Americans beating up all other athletes of other nations.

So, people like Aziz are really just imitating whiteness. They are appropriating the white cultural practice of lionizing blacks as ‘our blacks’. OJ Simpson was a hero of white America long before multi-culti took off. Ben Jonson of Canada won the 100 m sprint before tons of Muslims and Asians streamed into Canada.

How amusing that non-whites appropriate white attitudes and tendencies but pretend it’s about rise of color against whites. If Aziz really cared about his kind, why did he leave Pakistan behind to live in white-majority nation? Why does he favor Diversity over his own cultural identity? Why does he cheer for ‘Canadian’ blacks?
Aziz and his ilk are brainwashed by PC white suidalism far more than they realize. They are following in the footsteps of whites who, under Jewish guidance, spearheaded this Diversimania. Aziz thinks he’s an original thinker but he’s just imitating white people who pioneered the celebration of ‘our blacks’.

Diversity is a cover for “I want to live in white nation than my own” and anti-whiteness is just rhetorical smoke to hide this shameful truth.

  93. Anonymous[336] • Disclaimer says:

Non-whites are so imitative of whites that they’ve now even appropriated cucking to blacks. That’s what Omer Aziz and other members of non-black diversity going gaga over blacks as ‘our heroes’ is all about.

Last I checked, Pakistan is pretty diverse ethnically. Why did Pakis leave all that diversity and come to Canada? If the various non-white groups of Diversity Coalition have something in common, it’s they prefer to live with whites in white-majority nation than in their own nations with their own folks.

They speak in terms of non-whites vs whites, but they immigrated to nations like Canada because they were all attracted to whites over their own kind and over other non-whites. Given Latin America is more diverse, it should be the main immigration destination, but it isn’t. Even people who move to Latin America see it as a bridge to US or Canada. Look at Africans who try to come to the US via Mexico or some other Latin American nation.

Diversity is less an ideal proposition than the eventual product of non-whites preferring white nations over their own or other non-white nations. Those immigrants moved to Canada not for diversity. After all, many came from nations with plenty of diversity, like India, one of the most diverse places on earth? Why depart from all that diversity? The main attraction was whiteness.
And subconsciously, white globalists take pride in this as a kind of inverted imperialism. They feel smugly superior in the knowledge that non-whites will abandon their nations for white ones and even wave the homo flag to fit in.

It’s a race to the bottom, frankly. Consider the Germans who ask to be raped, the Dutch and Norwegians who apologize to their rapists, and so on and so on. A sordid story any way you look at it, and–if you’re very quiet–off in the middle distance you can just make out the rubbing of hands…

    The rape angle is interesting.

The minoritarian, anti-freedom-of-association, nation of immigrants, open-borders ideology is the ideology of the rapist–“you can’t say no!”

“How dare you keep me out of your country club!”
“You must let me into Harvard!”
“You must let me into your neighborhood!”
    “You have to hire me!”
“You must bake me a cake!”
“You must let me into your nation!”

This latest “How dare you even think about putting up a wall” is the moral equivalent of “you aren’t allowed to put on panties … makes my job a bit harder”

You can not say no! You must let me in!

Of course, to have an actual civilization, saying “no” and denying access is the sine qua non. Not just to replace rape and random hookups with marriage but for building anything. Minoritarianism is the ideology of rape and civilizational destruction.

    ~~

I hate to go all Whiskey but at the intellectual level it’s pretty weird to see white women sputtering on about “Me Too”, while at the same time expousing an openly pro-rape ideology… particularly to welcome actual rapists into their midst.

I put that mostly down to women being conformists–conforming to the dominant minoritarian ideology, spewed by Hollyweird, academia, media, schools. But it’s still weird when the ideology is not just pro-rape, but specific “hey let’s wave those rapists on in here”.

    ~

And again, i’m just disgusted by the the lack of “conservative” politicians willing to actually take on the minoritarian/leftist line directly.

How much clearer would our politics be, how much more successful would we be, if we had conservative pols willing to say all this “you can’t say no!” stuff from “you must bake me a cake!” to “you must hire me!” to “you must let me into your nation!” is the ideology of the rapist?

But as history proves in Toronto the blacks and Indians do the most shootings and the middle easterners do the stabbings The news crews couldn't seem to find a white person to interview.

Yup we are a disgusting country full of disgusting people. Subcons will always be disgusting, no matter how hard they try to assimilate. I’ve said it before, but I hate this country. Things are getting worse and worse, yet nobody cares (apart from Quebec).

The fact that they were the British Raj's favourites probably accounts for why the Canadian points system disproportionately favoured them.

Canada, of course, has a substantial amount of less amiable groups but there aren't as many "ghetto groups".

What!? A somewhat reasonable appraisal of the different ethnic groups in Canada. It’s new to me

It's under controll. "Two people" are in custody. No word yet on their pronouns.

Update from WaPo. "Three people" have been arrested. They are also characterized as "suspects."

Meanwhile the Toronto Sun reports on another shooting involving the Mafia. Seriously. The Mafia is active in Canada?! Next up the Bader-Meinhof Faction?

The Mafia is active in montreal, yes

It always amazed me that St Louis even has a hockey team, let alone a successful one. Basketball bombed there, the Hawks and Spirits having disappeared decades ago. (Though the Spirits are still making gobs of money through their savvy buyout deal.)

The Blues even have a city native on the squad, a Pete Rose of the ice. They also have more Canadians than the Canadiens, Leafs, or Canucks.

St Louis is the best baseball city, I dare say even better than Cincinnati or Baltimore. For much of the 20th century, it was also America's best city for soccer:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_in_St._Louis

Soccer in St. Louis has a rich history

June 29, 1950: The U.S. World Cup team pulls off the biggest soccer upset of all time

Say what you will, St. Louis is STILL an expansion team Chez Olorin.

Founded by a Jewish insurance magnate if I remember correctly.

FWIW, and to date myself appallingly, I was there when another expansion team of that era won the Stanley Cup in the ’70s. Lively to the point of chaos but peaceful. Some property damage but I don’t recall any shootings etc.

That team was founded by Chabad Lubavitch supporter Ed Snider, who was also a big Alisa Rosenbaum fan.

There was some BIG SNIT between Ayn Rand Institute founder Lenny Peikoff and others–probably over country club enrollment–so then another group, the Atlas Institute, was founded to compete by the mickly named David Kelley (who, originating from Shaker Heights was probably also a tribesman). My recollection is that Ed went with the new guys.

But it was a long time ago. And anyway:

As we say in this household’s woodshop, “Okay, teens–BEGIN TO SAW!!!!!!!!!!!”

I have never heard a coherent explanation of why diversity is strength.

    And you never will.

  114. @epochehusserl
what makes you say that? I am not saying you are wrong but I have never seen that before.

C’mon, Montreal’s Mafia is old, old news. It’s up there with the best and most established. I remember cracking jokes about it in college in the early ’80s, and I was hundreds of miles from the border.

Don’t say they’re not multicultural, though. “Among those arrested were Stefano Sollecito, Leonardo Rizzuto, and Gregory Woolley.”

What up with the yom. Italians dont like to deal with them. You rarely see one working in an Italian restaurant or pizza place. The mob only deals with them when absolutely neccessary. They learned theyre lesson with Stacks Edwards.

The only reason why "diversity is a strength" in Ontario was that it was lucky enough to skim the relative cream off the global crop with the initial establishment of beachheads in the 1960s and 1970s.

As the "land of a thousand tongues", the Indian sub-continent certainly has a quite diverse selection of peoples to choose from. No way are the Sikhs like the Mormons. There is a gang problem with the Sikhs in Canada. The Sikhs in India are known as a warrior caste. They make up a large percentage of the military as well as police. Mormons on the other hand have a low crime rate and arent known to be warlike.

Sikh also have the highest incarceration rate there. 3x muslim & 5x the Hindu rate although probably due to the widespread arrests & killings to fight the insurgency.

Sikh gang problem is mostly drugs & guns so just legalize both. 🤷‍♀️

Well the Spirit of St Louis would never be allowed as a team name now.

Well the Spirit of St Louis would never be allowed as a team name now

The Spirits of St Louis went way beyond the Milwaukee Brewers as the most alcoholic team name ever. Unless you include Northern Ireland’s Lisburn Distillery.

The name honors Charles Lindbergh– a teetotaler. So did the Lone Eagle bar at MSP’s Lindbergh Terminal.

I was trapped in an elevator there once with an out-of-town passenger who exclaimed “I can’t believe they named a terminal after a Nazi!”

The Parti Quebecois was for the assimilation of immigrants, not for multiculturalism. As part of the West and Canada after the late Sixties, Quebec was going to be getting immigrants. All it could do is try to select where they came from and to try to assimilate them.

I've posted this old footage here before but here's René Lévesque on the topic back when our current era of immigration was just dawning. It's worth watching (starting at the 24 minute mark):
