David Pinsen tweets:

#MeToo is going to take down more high-ranking black men, and it will partly be due to cultural differences in flirting.

If #MeToo were around when I was in the Army Reserve, my black first sergeant would have been taken down. Instead, the pretty black admin NCO he explicitly expressed his lust for just laughed it off.

Right. Perhaps now semi-Canceled Harvard economist Roland Fryer could do a study to put the #MeToo Race Gap in percentile terms: What would be 90th percentile horndoggery for a white guy might be, say, only the 50th percentile for a black guy.

Should we grade on a cultural curve? For example, Garrison Keillor got Canceled for some pretty mild stuff. On the other hand, he’s a Minnesotan and Minnesotan men are supposed to express lust only by staring at a girl’s shoes.

A more general question is how do we do a better job of reserving MeTooing for the, say, the 98th percentile and worse?

+1 a confirmation from a 30+ year army veteran - the fellas were very aggressive with the “flirting”. At the time I was startled and a bit impressed with their boldness and success, even with the white girls in uniform. But for all I have against the dusky, I can’t blame them for trying, it’s the easy consent of the girls and the failed white culture that released them from responsibility and shame that made them vulnerable to the dark temptation.
  3. Speaking of #MeToo, an example has emerged against Epstein. A woman named Alicia Arden claims he groped her and harassed her Harvey Weinstein style when she was auditioning for a modelling job with Victoria’s Secret in 1997.

In 1997, aspiring model Alicia Arden went to Shutters on the Beach hotel in Santa Monica for what she thought was a tryout for a Victoria’s Secret catalog shoot. When she arrived, she encountered Jeffrey Epstein, who used his close relationship with Victoria’s Secret execs to pose as a model scout. Arden says she was groped and harassed by Epstein during the meeting, and that she reported his conduct to the local police. Then, she says, she never heard from the cops again and no charges were filed.

Of course, Epstein’s seemingly only client and benefactor who gave (He now preposterously claims Epstein somehow ‘stole’) Epstein his New York mansion, is Leslie Wexner who owns and operates Victoria’s Secret. It was obviously an interesting question if the models and aspiring models this gave Wexner access to were a hunting ground for Epstein and perhaps a key element in the sordid business of Epstein and Maxwell.

Interestingly, around the time Epstein was taken into custody it was abruptly announced by Wexner himself that this years Victoria’s Secret show was cancelled. A week later they announced their first trans model.

Is Wexner trying to stave off some unwanted attention that might illuminate a whole #MeToo universe for the modelling world and Victoria’s Secret in particular and perhaps something even more sinister? It’s hardly a coincidence that the best friend and benefactor of a man accused of running a honey trap is the owner of Victoria’s Secret and apparently Epstein was skulking about aspiring models on at least one occasion off the back of his association with Wexner.

  4. MeToo was a controlled movement to distract people from Hollywood pedophilia. The best possible ending for it is destroying people who thought they were safe and exposing differences our lyingpress hides.

  5. You’re not allowed to notice that the vast majority of #metoo culprits have been ‘chosen’ and ‘negro’. In fact, you’re not allowed to notice anything about protected classes like that, and they’re about the most protected classes we have.

Well, okay, you can notice how splendiferous they are, we’ll allow that. But why would you bother, when you can just watch TV and see it all spelled out for you? Or just go read a book, or a newspaper, or attend school, or see a movie. You get the idea.

It didn't appear to be even close. The jury deliberated for less than 30 minutes. The player took the stand, which is a risky move, but the jury apparently believed him. Apparently there was video (security tape) evidence that showed the girls steady on their feet, contra their claim that they were too drunk to consent.

If we want to cut down on MeTooing, "too drunk to consent" is one area of the law that needs to be looked at closely. If you are literally unconscious or asleep, that's one thing, but you can be blackout drunk and it may not be obvious to others (who may themselves be drunk) that you lack the ability to consent. In many cases, these women are intentionally drinking themselves into a state of high inebriation because they WANT to lower their inhibitions, so in effect the very act of getting drunk is a form of consent - they are getting drunk IN ORDER to have sex. Often their male companions are equally drunk, which raises the question of whether both parties are raping each other in such cases.

#believeallwomen works real well on Twitter where there are no consequences attached to this belief, less well in front of college disciplinary tribunals were the consequence may be expulsion and really poorly in a criminal trial. In fact our burdens of proof are exactly the opposite - it is the accused, not the accuser, who is entitled to a presumption of innocence. #believeallwomen is a return to some sort of Victorian standard where women are entitled to special protection just by virtue of being women, which is completely contrary to (what used to be) the feminist ethos of equality. Then again, most of modern Leftism is not really concerned with equality but with who/whom.

  9. No doubt that the only man of standing in jail as part of the “MeToo” wave remains mr Bill Cosby, whose comedy remains more relevant and funny today for me than when it originally aired.

    Cause —

“Fergason Effect” White women’s constant age old paranoia about black male flirtations as somehow more offensive than the white men they routinely casually sleep with married or not . . .

Here’s any article bemoaning the fate of men, primarily focussed on white and yellow men — ignoring the 400 hundred years of black emasculation all to the benefit of white girls named Betty or Jane depending on what jungle white Tarzans are swinging from smoting the black devils —–

Your kidding — now I don’t put much stock in the president’s braggadocio as profound truth. But I have no doubt that it represents a fair rounding of white men’s liguistic hopla on the matter of flirting . . .

Having groomed blackness as easy targets — for white insecurities and thin skinned realities, t’is only a wonder that only Mr. Cosby is in jail. Whites women didn’t really care all that much about Mr. Epstien, but in a twisted projectionist gambit a black guy will be a fine substitute and far less costly.

We are a mighty sick society sometimes.

  12. OFF TOPIC from the Fort Bend Sun:

Operation Freedom’: 64 arrested in human trafficking sting in Fort Bend County during July

By Rebecca Hennes and Mike Glenn
Updated 11:50 am CDT, Friday, August 16, 2019

A joint investigation conducted by 22 agencies at the local, state and federal level yielded 64 human trafficking-related arrests during the month of July in the Fort Bend County area.

The investigation, called “Operation Freedom,” led to the rescue of five adults and two juvenile girls ages 15-17. Charges filed in the operation include the promotion of prostitution, compelling prostitution, various narcotics charges, evading, fraud, forgery and failure to identify, according to officials with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office. Each offense was linked to human trafficking, officials said.

Four criminal gang members and an active law enforcement officer were among those arrested. Officials said the investigation is still ongoing and more charges, including federal charges, could be filed.

“No one is above the law,” Houston Police Department Sgt John Wall with the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance said during a press conference Friday. “Buying sex is illegal.”

The Operation Freedom task force also worked with social service agencies to assist the trafficking victims who were swept up in the investigation. Officials said the victims were provided with a full array of services that included sexual assault examinations.

“We will continue to conduct these type of operations like Operation Freedom simply because the fact is, the more we look, the more victims we find,” Wall said. “This crime will no longer be tolerated.”

Fort Bend County prosecutors said the trafficking was detected primarily through undercover social media stings and called the suspects “sophisticated” traffickers that groom young children through a variety of online apps.

“The grooming process happens on social media, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram… I can’t begin to name the number of apps these people are targeting young juveniles as young as 12 all the way up to their teens [on],” Fort Bend County Assistant District Attorney Jenna Rudoff said. “These victims come from all kinds of backgrounds. What is common is they are being targeted and recruited through social media.”

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross Resigns Following Allegations Of Sex Harassment ‘Among Rank And File,’ Mayor Says

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — In a shocking move, Mayor Jim Kenney announced Tuesday that Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross has resigned. His resignation comes after new allegations of sexual harassment “among the rank and file” were brought to the mayor’s attention.

“New allegations of sexual harassment as well as gender and racial discrimination among the rank and file have recently been brought to my attention. While those allegations do not accuse Commissioner Ross of harassment, I do ultimately believe his resignation is in the best interest of the Department,” Kenney said in a statement.

The Pale Male Club. I wonder if that’s why so many POC women in politics have white boyfriends and spouses … to keep themselves out of controversy should their significant other do something damaging. AOC has a pale male boyfriend, Riley Roberts. Kamala Harris has a rich white husband, Douglass Emhoff. Susan Rice had a white male husband, Ian Cameron. Huma Abadin was married to Carlos Danger. Valeria Jarret married white male William Jarret. Amal Clooney married George Clooney. NBC’s Hoda Kotb, one of the voices calling for Megan Kelly’s firing, married white guy Joel Schiffman. How much of their quickness to employ the race card is just self-loathing? Lots of these women went out of their way to specifically marry a white man, not a Hispanic or an Asian or a black. You’d think they’d have a complex or something. I wonder if that explains the “Get Becky” phenomenon, too: call their competition racist because they went through so much stress to get their own pale male that they can’t resist dissing the competition. Like Christmas shoppers fighting over the last available “must have” toy or widget. It’s doubly bad when a white man acts racist, like he doesn’t want them, because it bruises their ego. No more pale male prince charming.

That incident was at least 30 years ago; Reagan era I think.

Steve has commented that what it was really about was some bad flirting between two black co-workers in the same class. But when Clarence didn’t marry Anita and instead spurned her for a Becky (!) — Anita went nuclear.

Having been working with upper-level whites for a while, she (and her political handlers) knew that describing in a negative tone what amounts to average flirting between nerdy blacks would make white folks think sex harassment.

I'd take it a step further: for a lot middle-class white American women (especially those in their 30s and above) any mention of sex is scandalizing, and any intimation that a man might be sexually attracted to a woman is cause for alarm. They are almost Victorian in their sensibilities, albeit with a weird, exalting, semi-worshipful attitude towards fringe sexualities (gay, trans etc). I sometimes wonder if these women have ever sat around wondering why they exist, or understand where babies come from; perhaps they view baby-making as one of those distasteful things only poor brown people are allowed to do, like be religious or say the N word?

I think as long as black men keep their advances toward black woman and white BBW’s, they will be alright. If they try to go out of their league and harass an attractive white woman, then all bets are off.

Moi-aussi-ism mostly exists when the man is wealthy or prominent and there is some gain to be made from it, which in the case of actresses could be as little as getting their names in the news media or when the women are of very low economic status.

Hence someone like Stormi Daniels would see the opportunity to double dip after having committed an act of prostitution years ago, and presumably having already been paid, when her John unexpectedly became a political success.

Or the accuser of soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, who had already been paid off in spades for a sexual encounter when she willingly went to his Presidential Suite in a Las Vegas hotel after a night of dancing, realized years later when she was no longer sexually attractive that he was one of the richest men on the planet, and that there could be even more money available if she and her predatory lawyers could reopen the case and milk it for whatever they could get.

The allegation combines a claim that the women is sexually alluring with the suggestion that the man is a biological loser, who even with his money, does not get into her pants.

OJ Simpson was a kind of extreme case who polarized opinion--a very rich and famous black man who preyed upon and dated low status white women such as waitresses, and then went beyond the pale when his baby mama/wife dumped him.

On the one hand many in the black community felt that he was prominent enough to have some kind of judicial immunity, but non-black men and women were united in feeling that he ought to be made an example of.

Eventually a compromise was reached in which Simpson was acquitted in the criminal murder case, found responsible for two deaths in civil court, and sent to prison for many years what seemed to be a relatively minor trumped-up offense in a squabble over ownership of football mementos and paraphernalia in which someone pulled a gun, but no shot was fired, which by some legal technicality was legally considered to be a kidnapping.

That is how justice is done Las Vegas style. Everyone gets a bit of the action, but pleading not guilty is a bit of a gamble.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2017/09/the-question-of-race-in-campus-sexual-assault-cases/539361/

Colgate University was recently investigated by the Office for Civil Rights for potential race discrimination, a Title VI violation, in its sexual-assault adjudication process. The university was cleared in April, on the grounds that the numbers did not allow OCR to conclude that race was a statistically significant factor in Colgate’s adjudications—in any given year the number of men of any race referred for formal hearings was in the single digits. (The investigation does not appear to have examined any individual cases or otherwise reach beyond this statistical analysis.) But the report did bring those statistics to light, a rarity. In the 2013–14 academic year, 4.2 percent of Colgate’s students were black. According to the university’s records, in that year black male students were accused of 50 percent of the sexual violations reported to the university, and they made up 40 percent of the students formally adjudicated.

    • Replies: @Mr McKenna
For most of us, it's a bit of wry humor at best. But for the masses, including quite a number of people who fancy themselves intelligent, it's real: black men shall not be accused, prosecuted, punished or even noticed in numbers disproportionate to their fraction of the general population, no matter what they have been doing.

Now I bet the chosenites wish they could get a percentage of that action. C0me to think of it, why can't they? #MeToo is clearly anti-semitic, so long as more than 1.9% of those accused are God's People.
    , @bomag
    Thanks.

4.2 percent of Colgate’s students were black. According to the university’s records, in that year black male students were accused of 50 percent of the sexual violations reported

    Seems about right.
    , @Forbes
It looks even worse--in one regard.

In the 2013–14 academic year, 4.2 percent of Colgate’s students were black.

Assuming a male/female ratio of 50/50, then 2.1% of Colgate's student were black males.

According to the university’s records, in that year black male students were accused of 50 percent of the sexual violations reported to the university

If there were 6 complaints and 3 were leveled against blacks, so what? If there were 60 complaints and 30 were leveled against black--you might have a problem. (And that problem could be egregious behavioral conduct by black males--or a flurry of false/overstated allegations, e.g. harassment deemed as rape or flirting deemed as sexual harassment.)

The University has roughly 3,000 students. So the question/issue is the rate of complaints/violations by race, not by the percentage of total violations--50% of the violations, without context, tells us nothing.

Conspiracy theory: Maybe he’s concerned the CIA is going to want some payback should they think he was involved in facilitating Jeffery Epstein’s honeypot, so he’s trying to inoculate himself in advance. If so, expect some allegation(s) of sexual misconduct, perhaps widespread in his company, to come out in the weeks and months ahead. It would be poetic.

  25. Loury and McWhorter spend a good deal of time on Fryer in their most recent bloggingheads. You can tell Loury, who obviously has a high opinion of Fryer and considers him a friend, is visibly saddened and angered by what’s been done to Fryer. Interestingly Fryer makes the argument that because one of his accusers is black (a TA who received a couple of vulgar texts from Fryer) there should be some allowances granted here for cultural differences. The woman utterly rejected this idea, along the lines “black people do NOT talk to each other this way!” But both Loury and McWhorter (who for some reason was utterly convinced 100% in Brent Kavanaugh’s guilt – to Loury’s semi-contempt/disbelief) were in agreement that Fryer isn’t enjoying the traditional black closing of the ranks because of his un-pc political conclusions on issues like police shootings.

    • Replies: @Anonymous
Fryer is being both truthful and disingenuous at the same time. On the one hand it's definitely true that amongst black proles a man who is attracted to a woman is expected to be direct and unambiguous about it (this is true to a lesser extent for white proles as well); the prevarication and pussy-footing typical of middle-class white mating rituals would be perceived as nerdy or corny. But Fryer is not a proletarian, and the student (if she is typical of black Harvard students) is probably bourgeois to the core in spite of her race. So he should have known better, and probably did. But of course the punishment is completely disproportionate and absurd.

Well, not all of them. Gals like AOC and Susan Rice would suddenly find themselves boyfriendless.

  31. @anon
The Pale Male Club. I wonder if that's why so many POC women in politics have white boyfriends and spouses ... to keep themselves out of controversy should their significant other do something damaging. AOC has a pale male boyfriend, Riley Roberts. Kamala Harris has a rich white husband, Douglass Emhoff. Susan Rice had a white male husband, Ian Cameron. Huma Abadin was married to Carlos Danger. Valeria Jarret married white male William Jarret. Amal Clooney married George Clooney. NBC's Hoda Kotb, one of the voices calling for Megan Kelly's firing, married white guy Joel Schiffman. How much of their quickness to employ the race card is just self-loathing? Lots of these women went out of their way to specifically marry a white man, not a Hispanic or an Asian or a black. You'd think they'd have a complex or something. I wonder if that explains the "Get Becky" phenomenon, too: call their competition racist because they went through so much stress to get their own pale male that they can't resist dissing the competition. Like Christmas shoppers fighting over the last available "must have" toy or widget. It's doubly bad when a white man acts racist, like he doesn't want them, because it bruises their ego. No more pale male prince charming.

“Valeria Jarret married white male William Jarret”

Valerie Jarrett is the ex-daughter in law of (I think the late) Vernon Jarrett, a Black newspaper columnist who named, in his column, the name of a Black woman juror who voted the “wrong” way in a civil lawsuit with definite racial overtones. That incident was at least 30 years ago; Reagan era I think.

The latest Glenn Loury Bloggingheads is recommended. Roland Fryer was his student, and he spills lots off inside information that there was no #metoo at all, but rather internal staff revenge plus intra Harvard black rivalry. Fryer is the real deal, no affirmative action, and he’s doesn’t get along with black Harvard academics and administrators in sinecures. Also interesting: Fryer was a Larry Summers favorite. Summers drove Cornell West and another black mediocrity off campus, but recognized what he has in Fryer.

I think as long as black men keep their advances toward black woman and white BBW's, they will be alright. If they try to go out of their league and harass an attractive white woman, then all bets are off.

    @Malcolm X-Lax
Loury and McWhorter spend a good deal of time on Fryer in their most recent bloggingheads. You can tell Loury, who obviously has a high opinion of Fryer and considers him a friend, is visibly saddened and angered by what's been done to Fryer. Interestingly Fryer makes the argument that because one of his accusers is black (a TA who received a couple of vulgar texts from Fryer) there should be some allowances granted here for cultural differences. The woman utterly rejected this idea, along the lines "black people do NOT talk to each other this way!" But both Loury and McWhorter (who for some reason was utterly convinced 100% in Brent Kavanaugh's guilt - to Loury's semi-contempt/disbelief) were in agreement that Fryer isn't enjoying the traditional black closing of the ranks because of his un-pc political conclusions on issues like police shootings.

Fryer is being both truthful and disingenuous at the same time. On the one hand it’s definitely true that amongst black proles a man who is attracted to a woman is expected to be direct and unambiguous about it (this is true to a lesser extent for white proles as well); the prevarication and pussy-footing typical of middle-class white mating rituals would be perceived as nerdy or corny. But Fryer is not a proletarian, and the student (if she is typical of black Harvard students) is probably bourgeois to the core in spite of her race. So he should have known better, and probably did. But of course the punishment is completely disproportionate and absurd.

Perhaps this sheds new light on the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill brouhaha.

Steve has commented that what it was really about was some bad flirting between two black co-workers in the same class. But when Clarence didn't marry Anita and instead spurned her for a Becky (!) -- Anita went nuclear.

Having been working with upper-level whites for a while, she (and her political handlers) knew that describing in a negative tone what amounts to average flirting between nerdy blacks would make white folks think sex harassment.

The lack of an attempted rape charge is suspicious in itself. She’s essentially accusing Thomas of being undersexed.

I’d take it a step further: for a lot middle-class white American women (especially those in their 30s and above) any mention of sex is scandalizing, and any intimation that a man might be sexually attracted to a woman is cause for alarm.

    • Replies: @Jack D
This is not true. These women would welcome sexual advances if they came from the RIGHT men. They are human and have sexual urges. It's just that no man knows whether he is the right man (these women may drop hints but they are so subtle that you have no idea what they really mean) and the penalty for guessing wrong may be a call from HR, loss of your job, a lawsuit, etc. so it's just not worth trying unless you are a risk taking horndog (and these men are not the right men, so it backfires on them). Or maybe you ARE the right man at the time but later (could be a day, could be years later) you do or say something that retroactively makes your advances "unwelcome".

Next thing you know, the ladies are 40+ and home with their cats.

Conspiracy theory: Maybe he's concerned the CIA is going to want some payback should they think he was involved in facilitating Jeffery Epstein's honeypot, so he's trying to inoculate himself in advance. If so, expect some allegation(s) of sexual misconduct, perhaps widespread in his company, to come out in the weeks and months ahead. It would be poetic.

Alternatively, perhaps more realistically, I believe he was involved in a minor controversy a while back where he said he didn't want trans models because it would ruin the fantasy (of his heterosexual customers thinking his products will make them attractive to white men).

For most of us, it’s a bit of wry humor at best. But for the masses, including quite a number of people who fancy themselves intelligent, it’s real: black men shall not be accused, prosecuted, punished or even noticed in numbers disproportionate to their fraction of the general population, no matter what they have been doing.

Now I bet the chosenites wish they could get a percentage of that action. C0me to think of it, why can’t they? #MeToo is clearly anti-semitic, so long as more than 1.9% of those accused are God’s People.

Speaking of #MeToo, an example has emerged against Epstein. A woman named Alicia Arden claims he groped her and harassed her Harvey Weinstein style when she was auditioning for a modelling job with Victoria's Secret in 1997.

Of course, Epstein's seemingly only client and benefactor who gave (He now preposterously claims Epstein somehow 'stole') Epstein his New York mansion, is Leslie Wexner who owns and operates Victoria's Secret. It was obviously an interesting question if the models and aspiring models this gave Wexner access to were a hunting ground for Epstein and perhaps a key element in the sordid business of Epstein and Maxwell.

Interestingly, around the time Epstein was taken into custody it was abruptly announced by Wexner himself that this years Victoria's Secret show was cancelled. A week later they announced their first trans model.

At the time I was startled and a bit impressed with their boldness and success, even with the white girls in uniform.

This is begging the question. Why should Me Too be reserved for the 98th percentile? From a woman’s perspective, if your goal is to destroy the patriarchy, get plum jobs for women (it’s pretty much a rule that a woman gets the job of any man who has been MeTooed) and exact large legal settlements, then any % will do.

Now a sane society would not allow this, but we don’t live in a sane society. But all panics subside with time – it’s hard to keep the outrage meter at 11 on a permanent basis. Probably if Franken’s MeToo (1oth percentile MeToo – Franken is no Kobe) happened today he could have toughed it out.

In liberal, but lily white, Madison black men scored a victory over #metoo when a Wisconsin football player was found not guilty of raping two white co-eds. He was hastily kicked off the team and expelled last year, but has just been fully reinstated. The jury didn't #believeallwomen

It didn’t appear to be even close. The jury deliberated for less than 30 minutes. The player took the stand, which is a risky move, but the jury apparently believed him. Apparently there was video (security tape) evidence that showed the girls steady on their feet, contra their claim that they were too drunk to consent.

If we want to cut down on MeTooing, “too drunk to consent” is one area of the law that needs to be looked at closely. If you are literally unconscious or asleep, that’s one thing, but you can be blackout drunk and it may not be obvious to others (who may themselves be drunk) that you lack the ability to consent. In many cases, these women are intentionally drinking themselves into a state of high inebriation because they WANT to lower their inhibitions, so in effect the very act of getting drunk is a form of consent – they are getting drunk IN ORDER to have sex.

In fact our burdens of proof are exactly the opposite – it is the accused, not the accuser, who is entitled to a presumption of innocence. #believeallwomen is a return to some sort of Victorian standard where women are entitled to special protection just by virtue of being women, which is completely contrary to (what used to be) the feminist ethos of equality. Then again, most of modern Leftism is not really concerned with equality but with who/whom.

This is not true. These women would welcome sexual advances if they came from the RIGHT men. They are human and have sexual urges. It’s just that no man knows whether he is the right man (these women may drop hints but they are so subtle that you have no idea what they really mean) and the penalty for guessing wrong may be a call from HR, loss of your job, a lawsuit, etc. so it’s just not worth trying unless you are a risk taking horndog (and these men are not the right men, so it backfires on them). Or maybe you ARE the right man at the time but later (could be a day, could be years later) you do or say something that retroactively makes your advances “unwelcome”.

A lot of women overestimate their SMV based upon a earlier appraisal - they don't realize that they are like cars - a brand new BMW is worth X and an older BMW is worth a LOT less. They keep pricing themselves like brand new BMWs after they have been on the highway for 10 or 15 years and have considerable mileage under the hood. Then they don't understand why no one will buy when they are still asking full original sticker. By the time they get the message, the only buyers left are bottom feeders and they'd rather just park it than give it away for peanuts.

Maybe what is needed is an appraisal service - KBB for women. Women will put in their mileage and condition and options and WBB will tell them what they are really worth - Hollywood star, investment banker, file clerk, etc.

    Amal is not a POC.

Legally Huma is, but she is the whitest Indian I have ever seen.

Speaking of #MeToo, an example has emerged against Epstein. A woman named Alicia Arden claims he groped her and harassed her Harvey Weinstein style when she was auditioning for a modelling job with Victoria's Secret in 1997.

A week later they announced their first trans model.

    https://twitter.com/NBCNews/status/1158645656979955712

Is Wexner trying to stave off some unwanted attention that might illuminate a whole #MeToo universe for the modelling world and Victoria's Secret in particular and perhaps something even more sinister? It's hardly a coincidence that the best friend and benefactor of a man accused of running a honey trap is the owner of Victoria's Secret and apparently Epstein was skulking about aspiring models on at least one occasion off the back of his association with Wexner.

Top models are merely glamorized expensive call-girls.

I think as long as black men keep their advances toward black woman and white BBW's, they will be alright. If they try to go out of their league and harass an attractive white woman, then all bets are off.

OJ Simpson was a kind of extreme case who polarized opinion–a very rich and famous black man who preyed upon and dated low status white women such as waitresses, and then went beyond the pale when his baby mama/wife dumped him.

Maybe it's because time is cruel to all of us, especially to women, but I am struck by how the accusers in such cases are almost always past their prime and no longer in a situation where they could expect to snag a man today by virtue of their current sex appeal (even though some of them really were pretty hot back in the day).

What is the explanation? The women say it was because society was different in the past and they couldn't come forward back then, but I can't fully accept that. I think that any woman who makes such an accusation (and doesn't think that she can retire on it because she has hit the jackpot and has been raped by a multimillionaire) realizes that she is going to be damaged goods - no man is going to date her knowing that he could be next in line to be accused. But once their sex appeal is gone anyway, they have nothing to lose. Somehow menopause causes them to recover their memories of past rape.

A more general question is how do we do a better job of reserving MeTooing for the, say, the 98th percentile and worse?

This is begging the question. Why should Me Too be reserved for the 98th percentile? From a woman's perspective, if your goal is to destroy the patriarchy, get plum jobs for women (it's pretty much a rule that a woman gets the job of any man who has been MeTooed) and exact large legal settlements, then any % will do.

Now a sane society would not allow this, but we don't live in a sane society. But all panics subside with time - it's hard to keep the outrage meter at 11 on a permanent basis. Probably if Franken's MeToo (1oth percentile MeToo - Franken is no Kobe) happened today he could have toughed it out.

Al Franken had to be sacrificed in order to defeat Roy Moore in Alabama. If that senate race wasn’t happening, Franken could have survived.

To show this is so, Gillibrand, his main accuser, has been polling around 0% in her run for the presidency. This shows Democrats know the Franken situation was bullshit. Schadenfreude has never been so tasty.

I think it is just their last shot in life at making some real money, when they are basically washed up and have frittered away their youthful assets without really cashing in, due to the fact that they are good looking, but basically empty between the ears, and no millionaire playboy will ever consider marrying them.

But don’t neglect the fact that these women would never be heard at all if there were not predatory lawyers willing to participate in the hunt in exchange for a share of the shakedown money, so this thing is also a phenomenon similar to lawyers chasing ambulances. 86. A famous example in Michigan was when several black players on the football team at Michigan State University (same school as the rape doctor who went after the young gym girls) gang raped a varsity female player in the sports dorm. They videoed it on a phone.

The black director of player operations helped them cover it up and tried to silence the victim. She kept complaining until the campus police investigated and discovered the rapists had cleared it off the phone but not off the cloud.

The U was able to reduce the charges to misdemeanor seduction of a woman to avoid any jailtime or registration as sex offenders. They did allow the player operations director to resign, and brought him back as an outside outreach and recruiting contractor.

The rapists had to transfer, but MSU found pretty good programs for them. One is starting at Texas Southern this season.

Never let bad modeling get in the way of one’s agenda. A study that is measuring the conflict violence in war or torn or areas in conflict and comparing them to relatively stable environments is going to yield the vastly skewed responses as indicated in the study. One might even get accused of deliberately biasing the matter for that purpose by the same means.

Furthermore, ignoring the cultural norms regarding said behavior is just careless and will further taint said results and more the narrative surrounding the same.

    _______________________

I saw a program on polyandry in Tibet (women having more than one spouse) That is a cultural norm. If I designed a study around lax moral behavior of single heterosexual gender marriages and included that society, I would come away with a very skewed result that would indicate some abnormal variant of morality in Tibet compared to Tupelo Ms.

My general example works fine in demonstrating the value of said study. I won’t even tease the issues with sample size.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2017/09/the-question-of-race-in-campus-sexual-assault-cases/539361/

It looks even worse–in one regard.

In the 2013–14 academic year, 4.2 percent of Colgate’s students were black.

Assuming a male/female ratio of 50/50, then 2.1% of Colgate’s student were black males.

According to the university’s records, in that year black male students were accused of 50 percent of the sexual violations reported to the university

If there were 6 complaints and 3 were leveled against blacks, so what? If there were 60 complaints and 30 were leveled against black–you might have a problem. (And that problem could be egregious behavioral conduct by black males–or a flurry of false/overstated allegations, e.g. harassment deemed as rape or flirting deemed as sexual harassment.)

The University has roughly 3,000 students. So the question/issue is the rate of complaints/violations by race, not by the percentage of total violations–50% of the violations, without context, tells us nothing.

Look at how perfectly round the percentages are. Unless they made up those figures, the likelihood is that the totals are very small.

Quite possibly it's something like three of six or four of eight reported, and two of five adjudicated.

Again, the story here is not that black culture vis a via behavior with women is causing black men to be caught up disproportionately in #metoo. The story is that in the specific case of Roland Fryer there is nothing there.

Respected ex-NYT legal journalist and Harvard alumni Stuart Taylor, Jr., blows up the case at Real Clear Investigations, in detail, 6,000 words:

Fryer’s former personal assistant was behind a scortched earth campaign against the guy, dozens of complaints filed to several agencies and departments. There was positive evidence that she fabricated some of them, and no evidence that any of the others were true. And they were all pretty trivial. Fryer thinks that Harvard is full of a bunch of incompetent black affirmative action administrators and proofessors, and he apparently isn’t able to hide that. And his research is eating away at the narrative advanced by Harvard’s white professors. So nobody defended him.

Simply incredible. A face that wouldn't sell at Aboriginal Australian speed dating, even with the shelf of mouthwash left unlocked.
